[Question] Sprite . - marvinwbr - 08-15-2017

Good evening, I come to the forum because I wanted to ask a question.

I develop a fan game pokemon. But I was wondering if it was possible to copy the sprite of pokemon uranium for my

game that I indicate in the credit of my games.

If so, the creator who made the game or sprite will be in the game and credit

Thank you good night

Sorry about my English I'm not too English I'm French

@ReeNormies and @CodySP : This is your realm of authority, so heads up about this!

Actually Twitch, the spriter, does not allow her sprites to be used in other fangames. Sorry about this, but it is pretty typical for fangames with fakemon.

RE: [Question] Sprite . - Lord Windos - 08-15-2017

The original Twitch? Didn't she have to abidict from the game development, though? Wouldn't that sort of invalidate her say on the matter? I'm honestly curious about this, since I have not run into a case like this before.

RE: [Question] Sprite . - marvinwbr - 08-15-2017

That is to say ? Is it permissible or not?

RE: [Question] Sprite . - Lord Windos - 08-15-2017

From what I can tell, no. Unless you can get into contact with Twitch themselves and get permission, or Iron says otherwise, you can not use them legally in your fangame.

RE: [Question] Sprite . - marvinwbr - 08-15-2017

And how do we contact him?

RE: [Question] Sprite . - Lord Windos - 08-15-2017

That, unfortunately, is out of my area of knowledge. You can try tracking down their email address yourself, find the original blog of theirs and find her contanct information there, or PM @CodySP to see if he can't get in touch for you. Sorry, but that I the advice I can offer on this matter. Wish I could help more, sir.

Connaisez you sprite subject to copyright

RE: [Question] Sprite . - Iron - 08-15-2017

Twitch still "owns" all her art assets of the game.

You can find Involuntary Twitch on a variety of social media sites but I 100% guarantee she will say no. It comes up pretty frequently actually.

The fangame community is very tight and it's extremely unwise to use art assets from another fangame without permission, too. You could go on pokecommunity or reliccastle (websites) and find plenty of free assets, though.
