the user appears to possibly be a bot, but all I have is suspicions (as they haven't posted anything, nor activated their account, the only possible evidence I have is the  advertisy/spammy looking bio) but seeing as they have yet to do anything to definitively prove it one way or the other I haven't (officially) reported this user. maybe a mod could look into this user and check?
Looks pretty much like a SpamBot, indeed - good catch! These again... I'd report it anyway so that it reaches a Mod, though whether it makes sense to block it if there's no definitive evidence/they haven't posted anything yet - I'd guess not?
Ah, here we go: a quote (from here) on the type of bot that user is as well as a user that just joined (as of this post)

Quote:Alternatively, the spam links are posted in the user's signature, in which case the spambot will never post. The link sits quietly in the signature field, where it is more likely to be harvested by search engine spiders than discovered by forum administrators and moderators.

so just as annoying as the other variety of spambots.
now if you'll excuse me *goes to member list to flush out the rest of these spam bots*

I guess that's why using the Report Button as a User is important so that the Admins and Mods can take actions! :>
Please use the Report function for users believed to be bots, this will notify Cody, Iron and I so we can take a look.
No chance any of those are human. I kicked 'em all out. I'm sure they'll be back under a different name, but at least we aren't getting those floods of spam posts we used to get.

I still have nightmares about those days, the great spam bot rebellion, filling threads with their evil ads of Russian marriages, discounted name brand shoes and cheap prescription drugs.

It haunts me.
Two bots rampaging in Help Desk, already reported them... For those of you who missed it, 20 threads (10 per bot) were in Korean advertising "discreet" online gambling.
Here are a few users with suspiciously similar usernames all of them are most likely bots:

https://pokemonuranium.co/forum/member.p...e&uid=3821
https://pokemonuranium.co/forum/member.p...e&uid=3113 (spam link in Skype ID field, reported.)
https://pokemonuranium.co/forum/member.p...e&uid=3752
https://pokemonuranium.co/forum/member.p...e&uid=3741
most of these don't really warrant reporting, but I wanted to bring attention to them, just in case.
