(WHOO! Luxelong! One step closer to Lanthan!)
Nathan lets out a sigh of relief. "We'll make sure she's taken good care of. And the small combee is welcome to join us, as well. I'd be happy to have him along if he would be more comfortable with us than with the hive. I'm sure your daughter will appreciate the company of a familiar face, as well. Well, I believe that's everything. If there is nothing else the group can think of to inquire about, we'll be taking our leave. We'll fetch the rest of our party and leave you to the business of moving the hive to a more suitable location. If you'll excuse me, I need to tend to Ralts before he has a meltdown from all the pressure." After one final bow, Nathan goes over to Ralts, trying to calm him down. Swiftfire walks over to Ralts as well. She hasn't seen the little pokemon this nervous since the day Nathan first brought him back to the ranch.
The wave of regal authority washed over him, and it was utterly suffocating. For a moment, Ventus thought he was going to drown in it, become lost to the Vespiqueen power, become a slave to her desires. 'Obey, obey, OBEY,' she seemed to call, commanding him to submit, to do her will in its entirety. Just as he thought he would lose control, he remembered.
'What a familiar feeling; just like with the fae with my mother so long ago. I hate it.'
In an instant, the regal authority was expelled from him, and in its place was an raging inferno of hate and rage. Unlike the firey hot anger that most were used to seeing, this was a different beast. It was cold and dreadful thing, filled with malevolence, rife with amoral sentiment, and it was fuel by an indominable sense of purpose. Never again would he let that happen, to him or anyone else. That cold, so cold anger flowed through him, coursing through his veins and mind, fortifying his mind against the queen's terrible control.
Ventus wanted to kill the Queen. He desired nothing more than to slit its throats before him, and watch the life fade from its as he stared it down mercilessly. How he want to unless Apsis upon her and her children, letting it feast upon there marrow and sup on there flesh. The urge was strong; a weaker man would have long ago succumb to it. Ventus, however, was not a weaker man, and had an iron clad grip on his emotions. Perhaps, in this state of tranquil fury he's, he never has been in more control of himself. 'I will not be controlled by anything, and that include my own desire. As much as I want to see this queen die, I am not the only one at stake here. Work with the anger, but let it not control you,' he grimily thought.
Like a blaring alarm, he noticed that Ralts had unfortuanately fallen under the Vespiqueen's control. Craining his head up, he looked towards Nathan's direction, and spoke to him. "Nathan, you Ralts is not suffering well the queen's majesty. You should return him, before he completely breaks down." Looking at Ventus, they would only see him smile serenely, and hear nothing but calmness from his tone of voice. His eyes, though, spoke a different story. Frigid and hard like icy diamonds, they spoke of only the fathomless rage that broiled within him. Right now, this was not a man to be trifled with.
Rising up from his bowing, he nodded at the Vespiqueen in assent to Nathan's statement. "He speaks the truth. One of my friend did battle with your child, but I was the one to capture her. I treated her wounds to the best of my ability, and took pains to ensure her well being. By all right, she seems quite happy with, and we certainly enjoy her presence as well. We simply desire that she not part company with us, as we believe that she can become a mighty queen under our stewardess. That is, if you don't have any objections" the researcher said, his curious tone echoing throughout the room. He extended a hand towards the queen, one hand hovering over his satchel, as he made his offer. When the queen, after thinking this over, adquisted to the deal, he just smiled and thanked her, before turning to leave.
"Come along, Princess, let us be gone from this place. The your mother has plans to finish, and it would be ever so rude for us hold her up any longer. Apsis, stay close to my side. We would want to cause anymore trouble, now would we?" With that said, the researcher swiftly left the room, his Pokémon scrambling to follow, and anger still brewing within. He would have to leave the Vespiqueen, before he did something everyone would regret.

As Ventus goes to leave, Nathan recalls Ralts to the premier ball, as he was unable to calm the little guy down while still in the queen's room.  Nathan stands up when he hears Ventus give the order to follow to the princess.  "Ventus, let her help with moving the hive and say her goodbyes at least.  I'm sure she'll come and find you when that's said and done.  I think we're going to be in town for a few days because of the festival and Shiva's job at the day care, anyways.  If we leave town before the hive is entirely moved, then you can come and fetch her." Â
Nathan turns to the small combee next. Â "Would you like to join me and my pokemon, Combee? Â As I said, I'd be more than happy to have you along if you'd also rather leave the hive than stay. Â Your presence would probably make it easier for the princess to find us when the business with moving the hive is concluded, too."
"...Very well, I see your point. Princess, once you are done leading the Combee out of the town, please make haste to me. I don't want you possibly getting hurt, after we promised the Queen you wellbeing and protection. Now, off you," Ventus said, watching as the Combee went off to help direct the hive's relocation. As soon as that was done, however, he swiftly resumed his departure from the Vespiqueen's chamber. Apsis was having some trouble keeping up with him, so quickly recalled her to their Pokeball and stowed it away without breaking his stride.
'The sooner I leave this place the better. I want to kill that treacherous parasite, but the fallout from that would far outweigh any possible good that might come of it. This day...I just want it to end already,' he though, still furious at the queen's attempt to control him and everyone else in the room. If he didn't want to commit regicide and doom everyone here, and quite possibly the town itself, he had to leave the hive. Now.
Just before Nathan had recalled Ralts, he'd felt the wave of anger from Ventus. Ralts had picked up on it. It was...stifling, to say the least. Almost as bad as the Pressure the queen was exerting. Nathan wants to chase after Ventus to make sure he doesn't do anything rash, but he needs to stay there and wait for the small combee's response before he goes anywhere else. Nathan turns to Valder briefly. "Valder, I'd recommend you go after him. I'm not sure he's in the most stable mood right now. It's in all of our best interests that someone makes sure he doesn't cause any trouble if he's heading out. We'll meet you at the Pokemon Center. I imagine it's quite late by now..." He turns back to the small combee, waiting for a response to his question, and also partially curious about whether Zamboni will bring up the Drowzee...
If Zamboni plans to bring up Drowzee, he does not do so now. He sends Delibird to bring the other trainers back, and everyone gets out of the hive asap. Also he pays you as promised.
All day long, Combee flit by, moving toward the more wild places of the Ginger area. It's actually kind of pleasant, for they bring a sweet scent wherever they go. No one dares to try to sell Honey though.
Everyone who was on this quest gets 5xp for a Pokemon of their choice who participated at least somehow, and 4 trainer XP.
Sawsbuck is not blooming yet for some reason, so Shiva decides to visit the Daycare.
They have her advise them on all sorts of small things: good mates, good environments, good items. How to cultivate a good experience for Trainers and Pokemon.
They also have a challenge for you. "What's a good guard Pokemon for our pasture? We'd like to breed the perfect protector to watch over them. What exactly should we try for, and how would we go about it, in your opinion?"

Before everyone headed off to bed for the night, Nathan considered what he still needed to do. Â He still needed to talk with Ventus, but then he remembered that he hadn't told his mom they'd arrived in Ginger Town yet. Â He hurries back to the Center after Zamboni gives him his payment as well as Ventus and Valders'. Â Nathan catches the two before they head off to bed and gives them their payments, and then heads to his room.
When he calls his mom, the phone barely has a chance to ring even once before it's picked up. Â Nathan assures his mom he's fine, and fills her in on what happened. Â He doesn't mention the scimitar, though. Â The conversation is brief, but relieving.
The next morning, though, something still isn't sitting right with Nathan. Â He thinks for a moment, and decides he needs to talk with Ventus the first chance he gets. Â He needs some answers, and Ventus probably needs some too. Â If this didn't take place soon, it could be blown way out of proportion and fracture the group, after all...he heads to the Center's lobby and waits for Ventus to show up, Ralts by his side, as usual. The empathetic pokemon was still a little out of sorts from last night. They both look rather...gloomy and subdued, but not unapproachable.
The undersized Combee will go where the princess goes. He'll need a ball. In the morning, he is cheerful about leaving his abusive hive and exploring the bright festival.
