"Raphael, dance your heart out! Show them the true beauty of your prowess!" Ventus called out them, feeling like he should break out into a dance himself. Seeing how gracefully his little angel moved on the ice...it filled his heart with joy. 'My child, no matter the outcome, I could never be disappointed with you. Dance, my ballerina, dance!' the Natural Sage thought, sending his overflowing positivity toward his Togepi. He might have a chance at victory yet! His friend cheering him on from the stand only increased his good mood!
Order: Keep on Petal Dancing, Raphael! When it end, have them use Charm on them until it procs, then try to hit it with Yawn. It'll be confused, but I have faith in my darling!
Zamboni Redux Round 10
"Swinub, you've seen what that move can do! But also remember that Togepi is a young and fragile creature. Togepi cannot stop dancing, so make sure to evade and time your attack just ri-NOW!!"

Dmg: 6 dice -2 vit
(6)(6)(5)(4) Togepi faints, but Swinub was holding back, so it's not too painful.
Zamboni Redux Round 11
Quickly recalling them to their Pokeball, he handed it off to the waiting Nurse so fast that it made her goggle. He wanted his little angel to get medical attention, now. Beside how quickly he had gotten Raphael out of the field, his countenance belayed nothing besides an eery calm. 'Reshirem damn it. I can't panic now, but that was dirty of him. Why must almost everything he has have priority? That just seem a bit unfair,' Ventus thought, not at all happy with Togepi being gimped like that. Apparently Zamboni prepares for the worst in all cases, it seems.
A snap of the wrist, and Michael was out on the field. At first a bit confused that he was fighting, when he sat out last time, he shook it off and gave the Swinub a pointed look. It may be an Ice type, but its Ground as well. Perfect target for its Absorb!
Order: Shroomish is going to try and power through with Absorb repeatedly. I have a rather good feel you'll just crit on a Ice Shard, though...
The dice giveth, and the dice taketh away.

"Swinub, halt. No sense in knocking out the mushroom just to get wrecked by that Arbok. The victor here is clear, I think you agree, Ventus? Maybe Swinub would take out that tenacious Shroomish or maybe it wouldn't, but it's obvious that little guy wants to grow into a strong fighter, and maybe you have the bond with him to make it happen. Swinub did well against Ekans, but a weakened Swinub against an Arbok with Fire Fang? You've earned this badge fair and square, Ventus! DO A VICTORY LAP! DO A VICTORY LAP!"
The stands erupt with cheering! Plusle and Minun climb atop Porygon's head for a victory routine. Even the strangers from the festival, like Nathan's new friend, are cheering. It's more fun to root for the underdog. For a time, they forget the horror of Arbok's appearance, and relax with their cocoa!
Glaceon was worth 4xp (Togepi with the final blow, Arbok helping), Snorunt was worth 5xp (Togepi again), and Swinub was worth 4xp (Shroomish got the final blow, or you could say Arbok would have). Like Nathan, you can assign each of those XP to any of the Pokemon who were in that particular matchup at any time.
Ventus gains 6xp, and more importantly the Glass Badge (+0.5 Str).
Togepi is so thrilled with its dancing and its fundamental role in the defeat of the gym leader that it gains a point of happiness!
Nathan rushes over to Ventus immediately! "See? I knew ya cold do it! It just took a little more elbow grease, that's all! Creshire isn't going to know what hit it before long!" Porygon seems to having a lot of fun with the rodents as well, flashing multiple colors in time with their cheering! Ralts can't help but laugh at the display in pure delight!
Ralts follows, feeling all the same emotions the trainers are feeling.
He also eyes Arbok's Pokeball thoughtfully (still glimmering with a touch of purple light, quickly fading).
Nathan glances at Aspis's pokeball, picking up Ralts's slight concern. He'd mention it later, though. For now, it was time for congratulations!
Walking forward to meet Zamboni, he carefully took his well fought for Glass Badge, and humbly thanked him. "Thank you for the opportunity to face off against you. If you were not such a tenacious opponent, my Pokémon would never have gained the experience they needed for further advancement and growth. I know Apsis would not have evolved without the adversity, that is for certain! May fortune favor you in the future, as it did for me now," Ventus calmly but happily said, not wishing to rub in his victory to the man. He was a gentleman and empathetic soul, and while he could get a little wild at time (to put it nicely), he's not the type of person for showboating. Still, he took the skates from Zamboni and put them on, lacing them up carefully.
"While I don't believe I'll do a victory lap, how about I repay your generosity with a dance? It has been a while since I have done this, but I believe it'll turn out alright." With that said, Ventus skated far away from the Gym leader, and began his dance. And dance he did. Gliding across the surface of the ice, his form was excellent despite being out of practice, as he twirled on the ice, showing a remarkable amount of flexibility for a stuffy old scientist. The man even propelled himself into the air one, leg splayed outwards, before he nimbly touched upon the ice, never once losing momentum of his balance. If one didn't know better, they might have thought Ventus had the ability Serene Grace! The fact that Raphael quickly ran out on the ice and joined him only made the specitcle that much more amazing.
Finishing his performance with one last twirl, he skated back to Zamboni, and returned the Ice skate. "Thank you, Zamboni. Perhaps we can keep in touch? I am a Pokémon Researcher here on a research visa, and I would certainly like to know more about the Ice types in your gym!" he said, giving one last thanks to him, before he walked over to the stand, scooping up Michael and his little angel in his arms. Michael, how had been hopping up and down in pure elation from overcoming that daunting Swinub, now shared Ventus' good spirits, hopping up to his place on the man's shoulder. Raphael just chittered happily, extremely glad that their efforts helped net their master victory. It wasn't a weak anymore; far from it! Apsis was in her Pokeball for the time being, for, as much as Ventus wanted to celebrate there recent achievements with her, didn't want to unleash them while still in the gym. He needed to have another talk with her about not eating other trainer's Pokémon- the hunger he felt from the Arbok was unmistakable.
Reaching Nathan, he just gave the young trainer a great big hug. "My deepest thanks, my friend. If it was not for your helpful advice, I surely would not have stood a chance against him in my second go." Then, turning to face Shiva, he bowed to her for her support. While he didn't hear her cheering, her Mice certainly made up for it! That, and he could feel the hope she held for him while he was on the ice. Looking at everyone, he let out a hearty laugh, enjoying everything that has happened today. "Well, now that my business he is settled, let us make haste to the Pokémon Center! Tomarrow is a new day, and our journey awaits us!"
... Quite a performance, indeed. His batte style was determined, but somewhat...caring. Similar like he was.
Shiva was also thankful that he understood that she wasn't much a type who would engage in active cheering. Her Electric rodents were gladly taking this role. She was more...calm support. In fact, this rematch would not have taken place if she would not have handed him her CarnyCoin... Now say again that the people who prefer to stay in the background to pull the strings - may it be with good or bad intentions - are unimportant.
Still, she had the most appreciating and delighted smile for him as she congratulated him for his victory. And for the great and enjoyable show he pulled through.
Her own Pokemon - actually just Cottonee and Helios - were fully healed up by now from Nurse Joy (I assume they are by now?), so thankfully she accepted them back. While she had no battle against Zamboni himself, that one against the tanky Lapras was just as awesome and educational to her.
Hearing Ventus express his thought returning to the Pokemon Center, she remembered something... "Oh, eh, Ven, mind if we pay the Festival another visit? Just for short, I...would like to trade the CarnyCoin I gave you for something. And maybe catch up a Paralyze Heal while we're there."
Valder walked into the gym in time to see Ventus' glorious victory. 'I guess they're not entirely kids...' he thought grudgingly to himself.
Vader spotted Nathan as well as Shiva standing not far away from himself.
Valder's just observing atm and can converse if wanted.
