Double Mach Punch!
Mach Punch Accuracy: Dex (4) + Fight (4) + Brawl (3) -Â Actions (2/3) - Tangle Feet (2) = 7D6/6D6
Damage: Power (2) + STR (3) + STAB (1) + Black Belt (1) + SE (1) = 7D6+1
Effect: Priority Move. One would be enough, but just in case I not hit, two might do the trick.

"Hey, so, uh...about Pyroar...I was considering adopting him, to be honest...but...there's one problem...he feels a little...insecure about it. He's...afraid he might hurt someone. I decided to go out on a limb and ask him about a playful battle at an earlier point...and, well, he was very reluctant to do so. He seems to like battles, but...I guess his predator instincts get the better of him at times. And that seems to be at least part of the reason why he avoids other pokemon. It might even be one of the reasons he was left here...it'd certainly explain a whole lot..."
Calm, slow breath during a pause, then Nathan continues.
"...I don't really want to force Pyroar into doing something he's uncomfortable with, but I've been trying to get him to come out of his bubble a little. He liked playing with my Rapidash and Houndour, so that was good. He's been receptive to the slow progress, at least, and the more pokemon I introduce him to that he likes, the more likely he is to come out of that shell of his. Problem with that, though...well, I don't have the time to be here every day to work with Pyroar on that, obviously. So...
do you have any suggestions on what could maybe be done?"
Terra Time!
Naturally, the rugged wanderer doesn't pick up on the subtle/somewhat unsubtle signs of the fae lady's wonder and almost flustered astonishment as he candidly spoke about. He's even completely oblivious to the deeper implications of meekness, as by this point Shiva being reserved, coy, and/or whimsy filled was what he'd come to expect from the woman, and so he just shrugged it off.
After all, if he'd offended or hurt her with any of his statement, she would no doubt be rather......upfront about it. Sweet and caring as she was, Shiva could be quite.....frigidly unnerving when offended.

Terra looked mildly relieved by the mystical lass' acceptance of the honoring appellation he'd gave her - as it meant he hadn't committed the rare faux pass of estranging someone else with compliments-, but as she continued he grew confused again....and somewhat worried too, judging by the way his eyebrows bunched/unbunched up together as he listened.
"Thank you, Shiva. *Rubs back of head* Meant no bad calling you Wise Woman. Only wanted to show you.....respect and honor you deserve. *Looks confused* ….What's an archetype, though? *Pauses* ...Ven said you had *Face scrunches up* 'an abnormally high affinity and talent with most things arcane, supernatural, and Fairy type in general.' Said you were....different from most people now too? More.....'special?' But you say you do not? *Shakes head* Very confusing....."

Again, the simple and now merchant monk (an oxymoron combination, no doubt!) didn't pick up on accidently (albeit briefly) Intimidating the Fairy woman, nor get through her subsequent poker face, and instead simply listened to her counter offer with zero change in his own expression. His silence endured for a couple minutes afterwards as he mulled over the details, before finally he abruptly nodded and stuck out a hand forward for a handshake, very nearly jabbing her in the stomach!
"Deal. *Smiles* Glad we could come to an agreement. Will do both of us much good, if we do things right. *Beat, before he rubs the back of his head in a....bashful way?* …Thank you for the.....praise too. Makes me happy to know that Mama and Papa did good job in teaching me their trade."
Genie Time!
Though not fully vocalized/expressed, the 'Fairy' Princess could tell from Shiva's own laughter they were all too pleased with her own unique personality, which prompted her to pull away again to strike a faux haughty pose and glided a claw over her antenna, as if to say 'Yes, I AM specially mischievous AND mischievously special, and you can't help but love and admire me for both, Drzzt!'
Odd as it may be for a Fairy Trainer and a wily dragoness to get along like a house on fire, it didn't diminish the fact that the two of them were, both in the most happily benign and fiendishly dubious of sense! Will Cheshire....nay, the entire world be able to handle the trouble these two women would concoct? Only time would tell.....

Shiva's emotionally dynamic chuckles deeper meaning were mostly lost on the mountain of the man, so they didn't reassure him in the slightest - in fact, he'd looked more dreadfully resigned to 'what is to come'' from his Dragonfly Djiinni and their playdate. Still, he didn't raise much more of a fuss and seemed to be recovering into a more grimly serious state of mind to better prepare himself for 'what is to come' , so all was well between the monk and the maiden.

When Cottenee made the motions of perching themselves on her head, Genie deftly plucked them out of the air with their free claw and easily redirected them onto their master's instead, waggling her finger at them in playful admonishment. Just because she was comfortable and friendly with them and their partner didn't mean she wanted to be used as a literally headrest by the fluffball, even if it could be oh so comfortable. She still had her pride and preferences as a Dragoness, and beyond that she did NOT want her antenna to be messed with in any way! They were sensitive AND important for her to detect all sorts of stuff correctly, you know!
(…)
Genie appeared to be amenable to all the suggested plans (the Wild Pokémon Scare in particular caused her eyes to light up wickedly), but their wager for a hide and seek match really got their attention, as she seized the fae lady up like a Meowth with a Rattatta, before giving them a positively devilish smile as she nodded. A game of guile and cunning ,and a hunting one at them, hmm? Well, how could she, a clever and predatory dragon, resist such a challenge?
Oh, the poor girl doesn't know what they are in for. Which, for the mischievous dragoness, was a extremely fine thing indeed. Te he he he ha.
(The Hide and Seek Game can be done with a Stealth vs. Alertness Roll (DEX + Survival + Stealth vs Insight + Survival + Alert respectively), with Genie getting + 1 Dice Bonus due to being a natural hunter, and we can out play the results of it! That is, if you want to dear!)

"Hehe! Gotta move faster than that to keep up with Tanuki! (・ω<)☆"
North: "Yes, we've always figured he had a bad run in with a wild or poorly trained Pokemon, and thus learned his distrust of other Pokemon. We all though it was impressive how you got him to play with Rapidash, a potential prey animal for him. But he's had problems with predator animals and even other felines."
"Pyroar operate mostly with their sense of hearing, then smell, then sight up close. Perhaps you could try leaving some sensory stimuli to get him used to your Pokemon and you. Our staff would be happy to bring them in for slightly longer each day in the hopes Pyroar would become accustomed to those things. We really want Pyroar to be adopted - he's expensive to take care of but he could be such a majestic creature. He'd be much healthier on a journey than in the Shelter."
I'll make some rolls for you, and when Phantom comes online she can describe what caused those rolls, kind of like she did with the Berry Hunting. That seemed fun.
Shiva seeking: (6)(4)(3)(4)(3)(2) (3)(3)(5) = 4 successes

For Shiva, it was some sort of new and to a degree even
refreshing that Terra didn't react in any visible way to her growing meek and coy - in fact, when daring to concentrate her empathic senses on him, she couldn't really 'detect' any changes in there, causing her to mentally blink in suprise. Guess she hasn't so far met anyone who's being that dense and oblivious!~ Doesn't seem to be a bad thing at all though, especially since from the look of it, that mountainous monk does get along just fine, even with her right now. All was well... Though Shiva would certainly need a bit of time to get used to that - the obvious plus side of that was a minimalized chance of receiving weird looks for acting so 'mystical', which was a decent thing on its own! Shiva also got the feeling that Terra was relatively 'easy' to read, wonder if that's still true if he's deliberately trying to hide something...?
Any thoughts in that direction were quickly swept away when he got slightly embarassed? and confused for some reason again, causing Shiva to give him a curious look from the side as soon as he thanked her for her allowance to be called a wise woman. "*hand gesture of 'It's no big deal'* It's fine, really!"
Mental Note: Maybe try to not use too many foreign words when speaking with Terra.
Noted.
She let him finish speaking before raising her own voice, let him accidently dwell in that confusion for a little as she thought about what he shared in peaceful silence, now mustering the surroundings again instead of facing Terra. Cottonee chirping and playfully messing up a few strands of her Master's hair brought her eventually back to the current planet when the silence grew too awkward, emphasizing her antics with a satisfied expression of 'Sucessfully prevented Master from drifting away in her thoughts!' "Oh... Eh, that Ven would call me 'special' is no wonder I guess, don't think about it too much! ^^; But I, well... I guess it's not too false to say that I tend to get along well with the things he fears, hold some mentionable interest in these....things." *mildly shrugs* "We still grew pretty close with time." That's all she says concerning that topic. Enough said!
"Ah... An archetype is nothing more than some sort of 'role model', a 'pattern' that tends to be reused to arise certain feelings and exceptations towards something."
When Terra was very graphically mulling over the counter-arguments/offers she brought up for the tiny blue gemstones from his Milotic, Shiva did a fine job to keep that mercantile posture and no-nonsense expression up, beginning to enjoy this playing along with him. Due to that, she ALMOST ended up flinching when he suddenly nodded and offered his huge hand to shake for the deal! That was the moment she couldn't prevent herself from breaking the facade she held up, with a shared handshake
the deal was made! "M-my pleasure to do business with ya!" Chuckles emphasized these words. :>
Now that this has been literally and figuratively dealt with, Shiva does feel fine to relax a little, eventually to follow up with what she wanted to say before he stopped mid-way to display his skill in commerce, refering to the following:
Quote:At this juncture in the conversation, the rugged wanderer starts to frown, looking and feeling almost....chagrined at what he's about to say.
"…I....never been good at.....convincing Pokémon to join me. Unless they want to, though. Not.....charismatic and smart enough for that. *Shrugs* So I Faint and catch most Pokemon. Easier for me, and sell most Pokémon I get, so it is not problem most of the time. Duskull and Anubi are......exceptions *Expression become DETERMINED*... but will work hard to earn their full respect, and become true partners and friends with them. That, I promise. To myself....and to them."
She mostly listened only, naturally understood why he prefers to get his Pokemon Partners the way he does. Selling and trading caught ones is nothing wrong at all either, she has done a few times as well, so no hard feelings in that direction! His obvious determination on earning the trust and loyalty of the aura dog and that... Huh, what? She had no idea that he owned a Duskull, must be newly caught somewhere. Cool, but at the same time it brought her a bit of a cold shiver due to reminding on the ominous chill in Chuckle's Gym. Ugh... Now though, the displayed eager to make them proper friends and partners earned him a praising smile from the fae enthusiast alongside a playful punch in the side. "No doubt in you making it eventually, even with Ghost Types being naturally a bit harder to train if one believes what people tell. Speaking about that... You actually having a favorite or prefered Pokemon Type? ...Fighting, maybe?"
(Thanks for the Rolls, Iron! I'll try to make something out of them in a seperate post.)
