There's no kind of portable electronic Dex in this time period. There's a giant one that takes up an entire room though!

The two swimmers look at each other. Then Paul-David addresses the two breeders. "I think we're going to forfeit. 2 v 1 is not a winnable fight for us. But if you want to play with Pelipper, you are welcome to do so!"
He sends out Pelipper, who opens his mouth and sends a cascade of beach balls everywhere!
"He likes to chase them, smack them out of the air, catch them, whatever! He's a very creative Pokemon. The only problem is he sometimes gets caught in the net and Cocoran has to free him."
Each of you get 10XP to divide among the Pokemon in your party. Each trainer gets 5XP, and a cut of the prize money!

"...attracted to the lights of civilization...hmmm..."
Waaait a second...I just thought of something...Nathan can name another pokemon that seemingly came from space. In fact, according to the pokedex, it appeared a little over 50 years ago relative to the present time, too...and in a desert, no less...they're not usually found living in those deserts afterwards, strangely, but that's where they were first discovered all around the world...
"...are they calling it a Little Green Man because that's how people who claim to have seen it are describing it? A small, sorta green colored, humanoid pokemon?"
"Yes, that is it! That's the LGM! Half the people I've talked to say it can't possibly exist, and the other half swear they've seen it personally. Seems excessive!"
He shows you his survey data.Â
"Hitmonchan thinks it's real, though. No clue why." Hitmonchan shrugs.
(I'll give 5xp to both participants; spend 10/12 of Noire's exp to have her learn Spite)
, 50/50 split sound good?)
"Whoo! that was fun!" He gives Shiva a high-5 and shakes the hands of both swimmers.

That's not a thing. All Pokemon have the same Vitality as their trainer. XP is only used for moves in this campaign.

Side Note: its pokedex color actually says it's Blue. (though it's definitely more of a blue-green, tbh)
"I have no reason to doubt it exists either, if I'm being honest. Pokemon are strange things at times, no? I'm certain we're still nowhere near to discovering all of the pokemon that are out there. I don't think it'll be long before somebody will come across one and attempt to capture it instead of simply just spreading more rumors. That'd be definitive proof that it exists if nothing else, right?"
Well, that's one mystery solved.Â
The alien pokemon mentioned on the news is NOT Deoxys, but Elgyem! Phew! Nathan will have to tell Shiva, Terra, Heart, and Spira later that there's no need to worry.
Related Question: Does Nathan know if his dad has a Beheeyem in 2017? Because that'd be incredibly ironic.
(and also on that note, are there any other pokemon of Marco's that Nathan knows his dad has?)
(As an OOC reference, Luxray and Skarmory were the only two specific pokemon I originally said that Marco had. Obviously, he has at least 6, though, and they're all very well trained. I just left the remaining ones up to Iron)

"Meowth... one of the proudest Pokemon! Beloved of king and street-orphan alike! I shall bring out the strangest Pokemon you have ever seen."
His Tangela is wrapped in sheets of papyrus. Many are covered in writing.
"This horror came from the darkest depths of Earthstar Forest. It is said a more terrible, more monstrous, more ravenous version lurked in the Skull Ruins before coming to Earthstar and raising a family of Tangela like this one I have captured."
Tangela: (6)
Meowth: (3)
"Tangela huh? This one looks like very strange. Don't know if it is a normal Tangela with a different appearance or if is a Deltamon. Earthstar Forest correct? I going to take a look there when got the chance."
Heart then bring his orders to this round. "Meowth! Use Fake Out! Then use Charm and go with Pay Day 2x!"
Fake Out Accuracy: Dex (4) + Fight (4) + Brawl (3) - Actions (4) = 7D6
Effect: Priority. Flinch the foe.
Charm Accuracy: Dex (4) + Fight (4) + Allure (2) - Actions (5) = 5D6
Effect: Reduce foe STR by 2.
Pay Day Accuracy: Dex (4) + Fight (4) + Brawl (3)Â - Actions (6/7) = 5D6/4D6
Damage = Power (2) + STR (3) = 5D6
Effect: Everytime this move generate money who can be scatered around the battlefield equal to the user Level (don't know how it gonna work...). The money can be pick up as part of the battle reward.

I haven't picked them all yet. I know he didn't have a Baltoy or an Elgyem. For a Psychic type on his core team, I am thinking either Grumpig or Meowstic, since Marco likes somewhat intimidating or aggressive Pokemon. Naturally, he would have had more than six Pokemon in his collection, but he'd have the six he used to challenge the E4.
Elgyem definitely looks more blue than green, but his name only makes sense if you consider him at least a little green.
5XP for Cottonee, 5XP x2 for Primal Glaceon thanks to his held Lucky Egg.
50/50 on the prize money sounds indeed good, means 1400$ for each!~
Shiva decides to look up the data about Cocaran in her Almanac later - maybe it'll even state how this adorable coconut-crabmon evolves? She keeps a close eye on how it behaves in battle however, becomes certain that it must have traits of a Grass Type due to it being able to drain vitality as well. But not as well as her dear Cottonee, she makes a confident and pleased huffing noise upon both the huge hippo and smol crab are unable to continue fighting properly before making a u-turn back into Shiva's arms for well-earned praise and cuddles. Aww! <3 Ah, and to collect her beloved Miracle Seed again.

She does reciprocate the high-5 with eager, and one moment later Spira finds himself enveloped in a hug of hers. ...It doesn't last for long though as she rather swiftly lets go of him as well because this was awkward: Not bad, but nevertheless embarassing! >//< "Eh... I'm sorry! But that was indeed fun, yes! Thanks for agreeing to that battle.~ What will you do now...? I'll stay here for a bit longer, then go back to eating things from the menu... Sure you can stay and we can stick together for a bit more, but you, well, of course don't have too!" She seems super-coy when saying all that, but generally delighted and in a good mood. Cottonee can't seem to stop chuckling mischievously and playfully©.
Regardless what the answer will be/was, Shiva does stay within this sandy battle room for a bit longer for one enjoyable game of volleyball with Pelipper, Cottonee and Raphael; with her 2 points in Atheltics Speciality she'll probably do rather well (contrary to me who sucks badly as it) while Cottonee tosses the ball around via a well-placed Fairy Wind, Raphael never misses to catch a ball thanks to accelerating with Extreme Speed. Sometimes, he would even glow a bit in preparation for Sky Attack! If Dizzy's so bored in the current time, he's very welcome to join as well if he likes.
This got tirering rather soon though despite it a fun change of pace and enjoyable break after all these happenings across time and space, so eventually Shiva bid a friendly farewell to the tow swimmers and made her way to the dining area of the diner. She quickly finds a free table and outright slumps on the chair, after having ordered she summons Primal Glaceon once more: The fluffy huskylike Glaceon didn't look very well, how he was wheezing and barely able to keep standing caused a sharp pain within Shiva's sensitive heart... After a bit of rummaging in her belongings one bottle of MooMoo Milk from the Miltank on Route 13 is offered to him with soft pets on the head and the words "Here, please drink that. It's full of nutrients and rather healthy, you'll feel much better afterwards! Ah, and please don't worry - next time, you'll gonna
WIN a battle!
( ÒωÓ)و☆"
Primal Glaceon comes back to 8/9HP. Shiva has no idea whether Healing Machines are a thing in 1960 already, least of all where the next Pokemon Center was - most likely in Cress City? (Does Primal Glaceon as the wolf/huskylike creature enjoy the milk at all,
? I don't know whether real dogs do...)
That wasn't all however, as once the waitress arrives with Shiva's order, he receives another treat: A super-tasty Apricorn Luau Drink just for him! That was what Shiva was so desiring of since an Eevee can also evolve once it was happy enough. Since she's also having a loyal and reliable sunbringer, she might... The 400$ are paid with the cash she earned in the battle against the Swimmers so there's no need to hide a mint date. Shiva herself mostly watches how Primal Glaceon digs into his food while enjoying a Gold Berry Shake herself. Oh, and more string fries of course!
