Even using killing methods. Thats problably why that pokeball its tight seal, to not free such vengeful and dangerous pokemon. Humanity sometimes it's the worse. Its times like this I agree with "N". Maybe the pokemon race would be better without us."
This discussion is probably before Nathan tries strapping on the gemstone, I imagine.
"...Linkite...look like Substitute dolls? And they're...dangerous Ghost types?"
Nathan looks to Gallade, who's still eyeing that sealed pokeball warily...he can feel that Gallade is...tense. Not really afraid at the moment, but...definitely tense. Whatever's in that pokeball, Gallade would prefer it stays in there.
Something about Heart's description of Linkite rings a few bells for Nathan, however...
"...that...sounds like some stories I've heard, thinking about it again..."
Still a few bells ringing, though...Nathan has to think about that for a few minutes, but he HAS seen a pokemon that sorta fits Heart's description before...
Kind of.
'...hang on...a substitute doll...hmmm...wait a second...that...also sounds familiar...'
Nathan looks at Gallade to see if he's thinking the same thing.
Gallade nods.
"...Juliet...when we first met her, she disguised herself as a pokemon that looked like a Substitute doll that had been chained to its pokeball. It was...unsettling, but also...really, really sad...thinking back on it, seeing a pokemon like that so far underground is just as weird as it is unsettling, but Gallade was getting along so well with Juliet that I just didn't think about that much at the time..."
It's hard for Nathan to imagine such an innocent looking pokemon being violent. Impossible, though? No.
Not if the pokemon felt it was abandoned or killed in cold blood. Or similar.
He's not 100% convinced there's a vengeful Ghost in that pokeball yet, but he's reasonably certain there might be, based on where Spira went and how Gallade is reacting...he just need some confirmation for his suspicions...
"...you found that pokeball in the wreck, Spira? Did you...see any dates listed anywhere while you were over there?"
"Thats...actually make sense. If I recall right, the Masking species have special powers. They one of the few pokemon who have two powerfull abilities: The Ilusion powers who only the Zoroark species can. And access to the move Transform, who only a few pokemon can have it: Ditto, Mew and another Tandor Pokemon called Duplicat."
Now that everything concerning that special Medicham has been cleared and they even agreed to come along under the mountainous man's care, Shiva does take a step back to let the others handle any more things that'd need to be taken care of before they can eventually travel onwards. She herself doesn't feel like having anything to add that'd need to be spoken out aloud and is fine with simply watching and listening until the journey finally continues or being adressed directly, all while staying close to Lilith, Raphael and naturally Dizzy.
She does have a small grateful smile for Terra though upon Medi is successfully registered by him, not only because she feels this Pokemon matches him well (positively) but also because she can't help but to be curious what this Medi's intentions and interests were, especially what it had to do with these Deyo Flowers and why they're so interested in the prophecies of Lilith and Gallade... Time will tell she'd believe, she doesn't have any reasons to be wary towards Medi for now. Cautious yes, but not wary of 'em.
Particularily curious for her was what Heart shared about some more Pokemon from distant Tandor, she takes care to memorise the names of those he mentioned to look them up in her Almanac later. A species combining traits of Grass and Fire Types sounds neat and cool, reminds her a bit of her smol dragonfairy combining two actually opposite Types! This 'Linkite' suppossingly being born from a Pokemon that died within its Ball makes Shiva WAY more sad than fearful, she gifts Spira a meaningful look and even faintly lays her hand on his shoulder for a moment if he allows: All to display that if this sealed Ball DOES contain such a creature, he as an expert for Ghosts is the right person to handle it properly.
Heart's mentionings of N soon followed by Zoroark cause Shiva to be befallen by tender sentimentality, despite her trying hard to hide that from showing Cottonee swiftly summons herself and cuddles up to her Master before faintly glowing in that telling crimson. It soothes Shiva well and she reciprocates the affection of her fluffball.

"Yeah, the wreck happened in 2012, and the people killed are now resting in Botanville. There was 3 names on the memorial, Freddy, Eliza, and Rebecca, last name of Mayberry."

Between leaving the car and returning to the group, Spira uses a potion on the A-Marowak and sees how she feels about him.
As soon as Marowak is released and spritzed down with Potion, Spira is forced to recall her as the Marowak tries to attack. It's ready to make war on you.
It's dusk and you haven't slept for 3 Encounters, so I expect you can take a calm moment as you make camp. If you guys aren't making camp, let me know. There are modern campsites available with electricity and water.
There's no change in the Rainbow Relic when Nathan puts it on. It's not even flashing any quicker compared to him holding it. Still purple.
Dizzy and Calam approach Medicham. Medicham gives them the narrowed eyes too, but cannot read the Dark types at all. They smirk in unison and turn away. The secrets of the Absol will remain in their own heads.

Making camp is fine with Nathan. He's certainly ready to turn in for the day.
"...hmmm...must be some kind of trigger or something that we're missing or something...mind if I hold on to this item, Heart?" (
)
Nathan's not quite sure if the Absol poking a little fun at Medicham for not being able to read them is necessarily a good thing or not, but it is still good to see at least some of them still have some privacy for their thoughts.

"Whoa. That was crazy." Spira then speaks to A-Marowak in her Pokeball: "I don't want to hurt you anymore, in fact, I hope we can be friends soon." He then puts her pokeball back and heads to the group. *Flashback End*

"...2 years...that's a long time for a pokemon to be sealed away..."
Well, there's not really much room left for doubt. If that pokeball does contain a dangerous pokemon of some kind...it's almost certainly a Ghost type.
Nathan shudders, definitely seeing why Gallade doesn't want to be anywhere near that pokeball unless he absolutely has to be.
"...be extra careful if you break that seal, Spira...if something's been locked up like that for that long...it's probably with good reason."
----------------------------------
A little bit later, when there's some downtime, Nathan's flipping through his journal again, trying to relax, not really doing too much. If Spira (or anyone else) wants to talk with Nathan or ask him some questions (Spira might have a few about these future times, I imagine. Nathan did also say he'd explain what the PC system is if Spira has questions about that), then they are free to do so.
Nathan's probably also sent another message to Bill by this point.
Quote:Freddy, Eliza, and Rebecca Mayberry. Spira found a memorial with those names on it. Family apparently died in a car crash in 2012. Any further information on them and that crash that you might be able to dig up?

"I'll keep that in mind, knew someone who got on the bad side of a Spiritomb after unsealing it. She was a fellow trainee at the Gym." Spira thinks for a moment then says "Do you have any advice for dealing with the Marowak I picked up? Never handled one like this before, much less a normal one."

It's dusk already? Ah, that's fine then as well - for some reason Shiva wasn't really paying attention to the time; too distracted by enjoying good fries, trying-to-enjoying bad coffee and being involved in some quality battle with the spectral Breeder and some quality time with her Pokemon before the pack of traveling Baby Pokemon, a Medicham with a believed secret agenda and whatelse made her forget about any worries and fears about still being in the past. Seeing that it became darker and darker, she was all up for camping, definitely prefering a modern campsite with gender-segregated showers and available electricity.
When Nathan airs his concern about what was sealed within that Pokeball Spira has found, Shiva does feel like finally speaking up, but she'll do so later when they're already walking towards the camp to make sure that only he hears: "If there's indeed one of these... 'Linkite' within the Ball and if it's indeed a Ghost type, then I'm, ehm... sure you'll be able to handle it." *small smile* She's all silently scared of that creature indeed, but 1. he was an expert for Ghosts who even got trained at a real Gym, 2. she has Pokemon trained to defend her from malicious ghosts: Means, she doesn't feel endangered or similar.
Moving on, Shiva will eventually return to the build-up camp with a towel still around her shoulders, Vaporeon took a short break from nibbling at the umbrella from Electruxo to greet her and collect her portion of kind strokes. Dizzy got so as well upon he returns to Shiva, she has to hold back a chuckle as it was simply amusing to see how he was able to hide his intentions from the nosy Medicham: "Well done", she'd whisper to him.
Deep inside though, this makes her sentimental again: Ventus left the group before he was able to aid her in the art of concealing one's thoughts and emotions from those being able to read them, now Shiva's a bit worried about being 'an open book' for Medi.... Before a mental headshake blew these worries away. Partly she already WAS able to close her mind, simply not well enough in her view: What this means towards Medicham, she'll see.
She herself hasn't much to do and enjoys some casual time here in 2014 among the group and her most dear Pokemon before it will become time to turn in for the night.
Cottonee found joy in playing 'I'm a nightlight that changes colors!' by switching between glowing pink for Dazzling Gleam, crimson for Night Daze and not glowing at all to mimic being turned off, while Shiva checked on both Eggs she was carrying, brushing through Primal Glaceon's fine fur while he's on her lap hoping he accepts and enjoys this affection, letting Rapidash graze freely on the campsite and, if she gets a moment of alone time, checking what her Almanac tells about this Linkite. Just in case and for the biggest part out of curiosity.
