Oh... While the mouse seemingly appreciated the gift and thanks with showing a dance to her new Master, Shiva missed something in it... the dance looked rather forced than delighted: The joy in it was missing. Yeah, most likely. It had a complete different feeling that the dancing Kirlia was showing yesterday. Feels like... this Azurill had a past as a performer or player ...was it been toosed for not being good enough?
"Hey there, calm down. Your skills are surely neat!" It'll look much more pleasant without the sad face, though - better not say this. It'll only hurt the Azurill. "Glad you like the bell. It's yours for now, dear one!"
"Oh, you know, ONCE YOU EVOLVE, your Water Gun will receive a nice boost as well. Until then, we'll just have to work harder, a little." Adorable too see how the Azurill was still putting effort in his moves.

Nathan recalls Porygon, sorely disappointed in the pokemon's unexpected disobedience. Â He quickly strides over to Ventus. Â His ankles are cut, sweater is torn, he's bleeding in multiple places. Â "Here, let me help you up. Â You okay there, Ven?"
Chuckling weakly at his friend's concern, he waves it off politely as he can. "Do not worry about me, Nathan. The slashes are not severe as they appear to be, so I am not too pained. Then again, nothing puts 'Pain' into context like being Slashed by a Stunktank, so my perspective may be a bit skewed on this matter," Ventus says, a smile on his face as he lied straight through his teeth. Truth be told, being treated like a Pinap Berry on the chopping block left him in
exquisite agony, but he knew how to shoulder it and lock it away.
'One does not work near and around dangerous Pokémon without a high Pain Tolerance, or techniques to lessen it,' the researcher though, being extremely careful not to broadcoast any thoughts or emotions that might tip of Kirlia of his façade. He didn't want to unecessarily worry his friends, after all. Standing up straight, he walked over and picked up Scyther's Pokémon, looking a bit ruefully at it as it shine in the morning light. "You sure conducted yourself like an vengeful spirit, so I believe your name will be Uriel. Hopefully we will be able to cooperate fully in the future, but not now."
Stowing away his new addition, he returned to Nathan's side, he pointed to the direction of the campsite. "While I am in relatively stable condition, I believe battling Scyther was enough adventure for me today. Let's head back to the camp, my friend. There should still be enough time left in the day for us to conduct some training for our Pokémon if we start heading back now." As he got ready to move out, however, Apsis burst out of her Pokeball from somewhere on his person, and gave her master a stern look. They knew her master was in pain, and while she knew he was strong, they were not a might snake like her! So, with a surprising amount of gentleness, the Arbok pick up Ventus by the scruff of his shirt, and began to carry him back to camp.
The expression on the researcher face was priceless.
Order: Head back to campsite with Nathan and hold a training session with Togepi, Shroomish, and Ariel. After that is done, Ventus is off to get some healing rest!
The expression on Nathan's face was priceless too. And as much as Ventus didn't want to admit it, he was obviously in a lot of pain, hiding those feelings or not. Trying to walk with slashed ankles was not a good idea, and completely masking the resulting pain from a psychic pokemon was near impossible. Particularly when the snake started carrying him and the surprise dropped the facade slightly. "Maybe we need to teach you Heal Pulse in the future, Kirlia...if we end up in more situations like that one, we're probably going to need it...I don't care if he's been on the wrong end of a Skuntank's poisonous claws. Scyther blades are sharper, and he could have very well lost his limbs..."
On the way back to camp, they run into Shiva! And she looks...VERY worried. "Scyther got the drop on us, and attacked before Ventus had any pokemon out. He insists he's fine, but he's not going anywhere in that state. I'll make sure of that. If he tries to go anywhere, Kirlia's going to Teleport him back to our campsite. Come help me set up the tent so I can get those wounds properly dressed. He'll be fine after some rest, as long as he doesn't exert himself." That last part was aimed primarily at Ventus.
After setting up the tent and dressing the wounds as best he can, Nathan makes sure to set up a seat for Ventus to rest in. "Remember, Ventus. Rest. Kirlia's gonna make sure you stay right here. Train your pokemon if you must, but stay seated. You're in no condition to go anywhere right now. I'll be training my pokemon nearby, so just holler or tell Kirlia if you need anything."
Being carted around like a Litten by an Arbok was a unique experience, to say the least. Still, while it did make him feel a bit invalidated in front of his friends, he did appreciate greatly Apsis gesture. Walking with weeping cuts was excruciating, in his experience. Hearing Nathan retort about his encounter Stunktank took the look of surprise of his face as he frowned at the boy (Well, as much one can front at someone while being carried by a giant snake).
"Nathan, I understand that first contact with Uriel left me worse off than before, and that things could have gotten worse, but please don't make light of my near death experience. I am not trying to be rude, but that was a harrowing moment of my life, while this was just a spot of misfortune. Maybe I should have used Honey Coated Poffins instead of straight Honey..." Ventus said, his voice trailing off as he though of better methods to employ diplomacy against Pokémon.
Eventually, they all made it back to camp. Shiva, upon looking at her friend state of distress, immedianlty started to help set up the tent, while Kirlia and Apsis stood watch over him to make sure he didn't aggravate his wounds. The researcher look quite unhappy to be treated like a total invalid, but a quick glare by Apsis and a discrete show of power from Kirlia keep him from getting up to help them (Still would tried, If Apsis didn't immedianlty curl up around him to prevent his movement). "I am not going to leave the campsite, Reshirem forbid, but would you please let me help? I don't like being idle now!" he said, receiving a firm negative from everyone. Drat.
When Nathan set about to tend to his wounds, he did his best to wince or show any obvious sigh of pain, as while he knew that Nathan knew that he was beat up and was worse off for it, he didn't want to aggravate that worry anymore. "Oh Reshirem, Nathan, I may be injured, but I can still move around. Is all of this quite necessary? If you insist, I'll stay here and train my Pokémon, but someone has to take Apsis out for hunting tonight. I don't want her to go hungry, you know."

"The last thing you should be doing is walking with two slashed ankles. Â Doctor's orders. Â Yes, I know I'm not a doctor. Â I'm the most qualified here though, so we'll just have to deal with it for now. Â And while I can understand your concern for Aspis, unless she feels like taking orders from someone besides you, I'm not sure if she'll get a suitable hunt in. Â I don't think we want to set an Arbok loose in this forest without a trainer to keep an eye on her, do we? Â Besides, probably not a whole lot for her to eat besides bugs and pidgey. Â Not exactly a varied diet. Â I'm sure she needs to get at least a little used to eating standard pokemon food, anyways. Â
"Kirlia, just to reiterate, I don't want him moving from this spot for now. Â Make sure he stays there."
He turns back to Ventus.  "The only way this is going to properly heal is if you don't exert yourself.  If you try moving around, the wounds might reopen and scar.  And I don't think you want scars on your ankles.  You've lost a lot of blood to that scyther, and need to stay put."
He turns to go do that training he'd planned, but before he goes..."Oh, and I don't think I have to say it, but do NOT let that Scyther out of its pokeball without backup. Â It is not going to be happy at all when it realizes it's been captured."
Staryu gets a training roll then.
(1)(1)(5)(4)(2) That's 1 bonus XP, and 1 Xp to the rest of your Pokemon that train.
New rule: only 3 Pokemon can train effectively at a time. Per trainer.
Shroomish also gets a training roll.
(3)(3)(6)(5) 2 bonus XP. 1 xp for Shroomish, Ariel, and Togepi.
Lightly scoffing at Nathan's admonishment, Ventus none of the less aquatinted to the young trainer's demands. "Oh, very well then. If it enables you to stop fretting over me unnecessarily, I'll stay put here and mend while my Pokémon train with yours. Michael, Raphael, and Ariel should head your instructions, so I trust you will do right by them. As for Apsis meal, I believe you are correct in your assessment. I doubt she'll eat Dry Food, though, since I have discouraged such a notion with every single wild Pokémon I let her eat. I guess I'll have to spend twice as much time tomorrow feeding her then..." he replied, letting out a slightly frustrated sigh. He was beginning to resent Uriel a little (Not really) for the damage he delt, if only because of everyone's Kruyem's damn worry!
Apsis, at the mention of eating Dry Food, gave an unamused stare at Nathan while she hover over Ventus, keeping a watchful eye on him. She was not going to eat such drivel, unless she absolutely had to! Besides, she has gotten plenty to eat yesterday to tide her over for a couple of days.
Looking over to Apsis and raising his eyebrow at her, she just huffed and settled down beside him. "When I get ready to greet Uriel, I'll have Apsis and your help keeping him in check. A Ponyta and Arbok staring you down should do wonders for his attitude, I believe," the researcher said, now smiling at Nathan despite his frustration. He knew that the boy would help him out in his time of need (Despite his protests, at times). [Raphael was soon returned to their Pokeball after Scyther's capture and training, since he didn't want his angel seeing him in that state]
Nathan had set Staryu and the combee on training their STAB moves again. Â It looked like Staryu was improving...but it wasn't quite there yet. Â Just a little bit more before it could learn its next move. Â (dang it, 1 exp away from it! Â grrr...). Â The combee were working as hard as ever. Â Particularly Zippy. Â "Good work, everyone. Â We'll continue this later. Â Or maybe we'll do something different. Â We'll see what I come up with."
He also monitored a separate training session as well for Ventus's Corsola, Shroomish, and Togepi, using some basic instructions Ventus had given him. Â It took awhile to run the two sessions, but both their teams needed the training and Ventus wasn't in any shape to properly manage it right now. Â He had the combee do some honey gathering in the meantime, as well.
He returns to the tent with Ventus's pokemon to find him still in the chair, as ordered. Â Kirlia nods his head when Nathan walks in, letting Nathan know that Ventus had stayed there the whole time. Â "Feeling a little better now? Â The day's coming to a close. Â I think you'll be able to walk tomorrow morning as long as you're careful. Â As you said, the cuts weren't too bad, but they could have become a lot worse."

Giving Nathan a winning smile (and an almost imperceptible wince), Ventus nodded at them. It was about the only thing he could do, without Apsis Wrapping around him protectively. "Yes yes, I'm fine. Though, I still believe that I could have moved around a little without being watched like a prisoner. Hard as it is to believe, laying and resting on injuries is more harmful in the long run than keeping active. As long as you can still function, you should try to work through the pain and continue on with your activates. Helps accelerate the healing process, or so I studied about. Of course, while I am a doctor, I'm not that kind of docter," Ventus said, chuckling a bit at his own humor. You know what they say : 'Laughter is the best medicine!'
"Though, if its alright with you, I wish to turn into bed for the night. I would love to continue our conversation from last night, I rather get some rest if I can. Or if I am able to, for that matter."
