To not cause trouble, or make Chespin and the wood pokemon upset, Heart decide to play along with the others, making the gestures and medidate like the other Pokemon. Maybe that way he may learn a bit of the magestic of the Eartpower since Chespin it's some kind of Spiritual Leader? If not at least this might please Chespin and make him more volunteer to join with Heart.
Did Heart need to do some kind of medidation roll Iron?

When Heart makes the gestures, he doesn't feel any answering surge of Earthpower. He can conclude that either you have to be a Pokemon, or you have to understand what Chespin is saying. Chespin doesn't seem to mind that he can see Heart playing along on the sidelines, but they don't make any room for you in the circle of woodland creatures.
At one point, however, Chespin makes a gesture you've heard of in your travels - the Opening of the Third Eye. It's just a hand signal, there's no visible third eye, but it's supposed to let a mystic see more than is visible in light. After doing that, and looking at Heart for a while, Chespin's eyebrows shoot up into his hat and he spares you a smile before continuing his lesson.

Heart accompany for a while the lesson, shooting a eyebrow when Chespin looks to him in the Opening of the Third Eye. He did remember hearing something in his travels. Maybe Chespin have something around Heart mission in guard a Moltres Egg? Or maybe his power he get from Jirachi Wish Tags?
After what appears be a long time, Heart approach Chespin and bow in respect when the meditation session have ended. "I sorry I have interrupt your lesson noble Mystic Leader. My name is Heart and this Trevenant is my companion Viktor. It's nice to meet you. You seen like a strong and also wise Pokemon. I could also be consider a pilgrimage, doing my best to learn more and become a more wise leader. I want to rebuild my long destroyed clan and I want to learn to be a more wise and mercy leader. Your help both in the battles and in teaching me could help me become a better leader."

(5K? unless I haven't properly been keeping track of Spira's money, that would put Spira at -$1875, ouch)
Spira leafs through his wallet and realizes he don't have enough money. "Um, I only have $3,125, is it alright if I put the remainder on a tab?" If the attendant doesn't let him open a tab, he'll go around town, finding a way to make some quick dough.
Brazen: "Good advice. I'm very thankful for the battle and the chance to talk to someone so interesting. Ever thought of working for the League? See, I'm a Shieldmaiden, the traditional warriors of the League. Our job is to defend and protect Trainers and Pokemon in the region. The Shieldmaidens are a ceremonial order, women only, but there are men with our exact same job description and resources. They just aren't decked out in the same ceremonial regalia."
"The most dangerous part of the Safari is called Area Six. It's a smaller area, toward the rear, and contains some higher elevations and denser vegetation. All kinds of dangerous Pokemon in there, from Bouffalant to Nidoking. There are even said to be dragon Pokemon hiding in the waters of Area Six! The dangerous Pokemon correspond to rarer Pokemon, too, because very few trainers ever go there. Most who do are Gym Leaders or trainers with a lot of badges, or high level League authorities."
I won't bother rolling the Pidgey capture, yeah.
Digging Gear: $500.
Super Rod: $10,000. This can catch rare things like Gyarados and Dratini. That price comes with some basic bait, but you can get better bait for $500 per roll.
Food is 0$ still.

Chespin gestures, indicating that you may ask him any questions you have.

Did you bring anything from the past that could be sold as an antique?
Also, there is a pawn shop (Trading Post) in Teazel Valley. You can create a tab there if you leave something as collateral. You could leave your entire collection of Pokeballs (useless in the Safari Zone) as collateral for the $1875, then sell something you catch in the Safari Zone to get them back.
You could also leave a Pokemon as collateral, but that's not very nice and could cost Happiness or Loyalty.

(would the salvaged Scimitar gear work for collateral? If not, I'll go with the Pokeballs)
