Safari Cup - Nathan 2 - Round 1
Beatrice's goal for this round is to figure out your type or find an effective attack.
Stun Spore 1 on Parasect
(4)(1)(3)(2)(4)(5)
Parasect was paralyzed!
Just a little slower, Parasect is also releasing spores.
Stun Spore 1
(6)(4)(5)(2)
Exeggutor was paralyzed!
Psyshock 2
(3)(6)(4)(4)(6)(1) = 4 successes
Obedience: (6) v (4)(3)(3) I was considering having Parasect evade.
5 Str + 3 power +1 stab -4 vit = 5d6
(4)(6)(3)(4)(6) Delta Parasect takes 4 dmg 4/8hp -2 pain
Obedience: (1) v (5)(4)(6)
Rage Powder 2
(4)(3)(4)(3)
Exeggutor can only target Parasect.
Confusion 3
(5)(3)(2)(6)
(4)(3)(3)(1) Parasect takes 1 dmg 3/8hp -2 pain
CD: (4)
(2) v (4)(5)(6) Parasect decides to wait and evade the next attack... but it never comes because Exeggutor is out of actions.
(5) v (3)(3)(4) Oh ok better attack!
Cross Poison 4
(3)(3) Miss
Really?Â
Another 5 Strength character,
and Parasect didn't manage to inflict any damage at all? Aye yi yi...well, on the bright side, at leastÂ
Delta Parasect's Leftovers restores 1 HP. It's now at 4/8 HP again.
----------------------------------
Nathan sighs after that Round. "...ya know, Parasect, Rage Powder works a lot better when you're facing more than one opponent...and waiting to evade tends to work better when you're moving more quickly than your opponent...just some advice."
He considers something for a moment as he fiddles with one of the Safari Balls. Should he do this, or that? Delta-Parasect's taken some heavy hits, but it could still deal some in return or attempt to cause some more shenanigans...he knew he was playing at a disadvantage using such a potentially disobedient pokemon, but he hadn't quite thought it would go like that...well, at least he knows that D-Parasect is more than happy to spread statuses without complaint, at least...
He then tightly grips the Safari Ball, seemingly having come to a decision, and points it at Delta Parasect. "...alright, I'm pulling you outta there for now, Parasect. Take a breather, but I'd recommend thinking a little about how to improve your strategies, alright? I might need to send ya back in."
A moment later, Doduo C has made his appearance on the battlefield and taken the glowing mushroom pokemon's place! Nathan's chosen his second pokemon for the battle earlier than he would have liked, but if he can play this correctly, it'll probably be less risky than leaving Delta Parasect in to take even more damage against a foe it can't sufficiently cripple to get it a little time to recover...
Doduo C, just like the others, is also obedient with 1 Loyalty and 1 Disobedience.
"Doduo, we'll have to go all out if we're going to best this plant! Don't go easy on it, but watch out for sleep inflicting moves!"
Doduo's interpretation of that: flying into a Rage and pecking at that plant until next week!
Rage 1
Acc: 13 - 4 Actions = 9 D6
Dmg: 1 + 4 + STAB = 6 D6 base
Eff: +1 Strength if Doduo is damaged in this Round after using this move!
Eff 2: Flinch (1) due to FoHR
Peck 2, 3, and 4
Acc: 13 - 5/6/7 = 8/7/6
Dmg: 2 + 4/5 + STAB + SE = 7/8 D6 base + 1 damage
Eff: Flinch (1)
Conditional Evasion: If Exeggutor attempts to use a move that can inflict Sleep, attempt to dodge it! Hopefully.
Evade: 13 base
Here's hoping that this Aroma Lady doesn't have maximum bulk or I get some lucky Flinches, or I might actually be in trouble here...
