This is a brilliant play I had never thought of. Very dramatic! +2 XP.
Safari Cup - Nathan 3 Round 1
Thunder Wave 1
(1)(1)(1)(4)(2)(6) (1)(1)(5) Horrible, but Nathan is skilled enough to pull off the move even with rotten luck.
Poliwrath was paralyzed.
Mind Reader 1
13 dice, -5 actions, -2 prlz
(6)(6)(5)(5)(3)(5)
"Mwahaha...This is why Poliwrath was so hard to catch! He can predict your every move..."
Dragon Rage 2
(3)(1)(6)(6)(6)(6) (6)(6)
Poliwrath takes 2 dmg 10/12hp -1 pain
Hypnosis 2
14 Allure -6 -2 +2 -4 -1 = 3d6
(5)(6)(5) = 3 successes
Evade 3
(3)(3)(3)(3)(1)(6) (6)
Dratini falls asleep!
"Take a risk while she's asleep, then wake her up, then get rid of her!"
Poliwrath cannonballs into the water. For this first impact, Dratini has 1 point of cover.
Insight 3
(4)(6)(4) 3 collected!
Body Slam 3
13 -7 -1 pain -2 paralysis = 3d6
(6)(1)(3)

(1)(3) The water and Eviolite protects Dratini.Â
CD: (6)(4)(5) Dratini was paralyzed but is still going first.
Insight 4
(5)(6)(3)
Dratini wakes up!
Wake Up Slap 4 - jussst after Dratini wakes up.
(5)(2)
(6) Dratini takes 1 dmg 9/10hp
Body Slam 5 - not enough dice!
(1)
Shed Skin: (4)(1)(5) Still paralyzed for now.
That round was mostly a whole lotta nothin'! Both combatants are in the water now.
Lol. This is actually the second time I've used it, too. Third time if you technically count something that happened in the Celadon City campaignÂ
The catch is that it's impossible for me to do it again in this campaign at this point unless Nathan's natural cap for Dex ends up getting raised to 6 eventually. *shrug* Ah well.
In any case...Mizu still has the drop on this Poliwrath! Things are going surprisingly well so far, actually.
"Keep stretching them thin, Mizu. You're doing well. We're gonna have to burn 'em down a little more quickly, though. Keep 'em right where you want 'em, and make sure to avoid Hypnosis as best as you can!"
Mizu, meanwhile, is staring angrily at the Poliwrath. Oh, he did
not just slap her after she just woke up. How
rude of him! Electricity crackles between her ears again as she
stares at the large frog. She's going to make sure to teach him a lesson he'll
never forget! Let's see how
he likes getting smacked around!
Knockdown 1
Acc: 13 - 2 Paralysis - 4 Actions = 7 D6
Dmg: 0 + 4 = 4 D6 base (odds are it'll just be 1 D6 if it doesn't crit, though)
Eff: -1 Accuracy for Poli until it spends an action to get back up/rebalance itself!
Note for Mika's reference: Knockdowns and Strikes count as unique moves for League purposes, so this would be Mizu's third unique move. Evasions do not count as unique moves, however. Not sure about Grapples.
Wrap 2
Acc: 13 - 1 Accuracy -Â 2 Paralysis - 5 Actions = 5 D6
Dmg: 1 + 4 = 5 D6 base (still don't actually know exactly how much vitality he has yet, lol)
Eff: Blocks the target for 4 Rounds and deals 2 D6 of typeless damage at the end of every Round they're Blocked!
Note: and this would be Mizu's fourth unique move if both it and the Knockdown are used this Round.
Dragon Rage 3 and 4
Acc: 13 - 2 - 5/6/7 = 6/5/4 D6
Dmg: Exactly 2
Conditional Evasion Order: Attempt to Evade again if Hypnosis is used
Evade: 13 - 2 = 11 base
Note: In addition, Mind Reader doesn't add additional dice to the next move's accuracy pool according to the book, it just adds two successes. However, going by Will Point mechanics, that means the move it adds successes to still fails if it doesn't have enough dice in its accuracy pool to start with.
Unlike Poli, her damage is consistently maximal and she's fighting a little dirty, so she should be able to win this war in theory if she can avoid being put to sleep for too long! Let's see how this Round goes...
