Mechanics:
Combat Move:
Winston: Withdraw from fight. If Mankey pursues, evade.
Yeah. Winston is chip damage away from fainting, with wound and fatigue penalties upside the head and no healing options available against a critter with the initiative drop.
Discretion is the better part of valour -Â Time to cash out those chips.
Larry:Â
You're fresh with a pair of Pokemon. I'm all out of contributing options besides shouting "Ganbatte!", so... "GANBATTE!"
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeesh. That got it's attention. No healing items, no spare Pokemon and no options... 'Knock it out and get going.' He snorts in grim amusement. Not going to happen, Doc.
The arrival of a boy with a large snake, on the other hand, is a welcome development.
"Larry. Take the lead. I'm out of resources here."
"Winston, good job! Fall back to me and get the heck out of dodge." Cautiously, Winston backs away, falling back around the newly arrived Ekans, limping slightly while minimizing his profile and reducing his threat profile.
He reaches down and tapping the retrieval button on his belt, lets the Growlithe vanish in a flash of energy.
"Done your part of the heavy lifting today, little guy."

In which case, Ralts is going to do his darned best to open those front doors. Â Considering he's barely over 1 foot tall though, the sensors above the door might not pick him up, and he's definitely not physically strong enough to pry them open. Â He is a psychic type though, and a desperate one at that. Â Maybe that factors in? Well, that's up to you to decide.
Ventus, still sprinting towards the Pokémon center, starts to remember the advice a trainer friend told him, before he left for Chesire. 'Always be alert for opportune moments, good or bad, and never be without your Pokémon at you side! Do these things, and you'll be surrised how far you'll go, Doc!' he said, thumbs sticking up in his direction as he was packing his things for the journey.
"Oh, I made a fool of myself again, haven't I? If I just had waited until my Pokémon were healed before requesting Nathan's time, we wouldn't be running amok in town. I have to learn when to exercise caution with concern, or I'll end up metaphorically worrying myself to death," Ventus mumble to himself, thinking of ways to get his friends out of barrel full of Mankey unharmed. 'We have plenty of Fairy types in our group, and Nathan has a Ralts that is Psychic/Fairy type, so defensively we are par for fighting the furry fiend. Problem is that beside Cottenne, none of our Fairy types know any offensive moves, so actually hurting it will be the hard part. Oh, what I wouldn't do for a TM of Hidden Power...'
Hopefully he'll make to the Center in time. Hopefully.

Someone at the Pokemon Center sneezes. Someone called, or was it just because there's still some Fairy Dust from prior battle on her clothing?
Larry readied ekans and said to himself "we must stay focused" and sent ekans out "ekans lets see what your made of!" as the mankey gets ready to strike, Larry plans to get the first hit on him "lets hope the league would be flexible on that no poison rule cause we're gonna need some poison" Larry said and told ekans " Alright ekans strike him down with poison sting"
ORDER: poison sting
Yes, that rule mostly applies to league-sanctioned matches.
Mankey Round 2
Excited to face such a large opponent, Mankey delivers a kick to the underside of the snake's belly.
Low Kick
Ekans is long but not heavy enough to activate the extra damage from size.
Accuracy: 5 dice
(4)(3)(6)(3)(1) - 2 success, hit
Damage: 2Str+1power -1 intimidate -1 Resist -defense = 1 dice
(1) - no damage
Poison Sting
Acc: 2 dice
(1)(3) - no success, that's a miss.
Mankey's foot connects with Ekans, but the big snake doesn't even flinch. It fires a poison sting, but doesn't account for how close and how fast the Mankey is, so the sting misses.
Mankey Round 3
'Almost there,' Ventus thought, seeing the doors of the Pokémon Center come into vison. It could not have been more than a scant few seconds since he started gunning for there, but it felt like age to him. 'Well, I'm finally here. Time to raise the alarm!' With one last burst of speed, he rushed towards the doors of the Pokémon Center. Nearly slamming into them, he forced them open and staggered inside, his adrenaline supply finally depleted from all of the exercise.
Well, if you call running for you and your friend's life from an angry monkey exercise 'exercise', but people have done more extreme things in the name of fitness (or survival of the fittest...).
Huffing and trying to catch his breath, he craned his head up and looked for Shiva and the Pokémon. Almost instantly he spotted her, and dragged himself over in that direction. "Shiva...danger...Larry and...Vincent.....fighting a....Mankey. Please....we neeed your assistance!" Ventus said, hand on his knees as he was hunched over, trying to get his third wind. Raphael, after so long not seeing his master, toddled over to him quickly, and started making distressed chirping noises at his condition. Maybe he needs to work out a bit more....*Weezh*
(Lolz. I was just about to answer by myself, since Round 3 has begun.)
Okay. So there is indeed danger. Ralts was right. Damn... Still, finally someone familiar arrived. Completely exhausted it seems, but at least he's back. 'Need assistance'? Well, fine, but honestly she wasn't sure how this assitance is supposed to look like...
She needed a moment to even realise what has happened at all... To her, Ven looked like he has been chased around town by a lovesick Tauros on rampage.
"Eh... I hope you have enough breath left, since you have to lead me where they are fighting that Mankey." Better keep the Pokemon outside their balls, ready for a fight... "You take Ralts and Togepi, I'll take Cottonee. Oh, and here's your Ekans." "She handed him the ball containing the snake over, relieved that she could get rid of that creature now, before picking up Cottonee and standing up, ready to head to the dragon's den.

As Ventus enters the building, Ralts bolts out the front doors! Nathan, still on the ground and trying to catch his breath, isn't paying very much attention right now, so he doesn't see the little pokemon coming at all.
WHAM!! Â "OOF!!!"
Nathan suddenly finds himself not sitting on the ground, but laying on it. Â With a 1'04" pokemon on top of him, hugging him as tightly as it can."What the...Ralts? Â Oh my goodness, Ralts! Â How worried did you get, buddy?" Â Nathan attempts to sit up, which isn't hard considering it's just a ralts that's on top of him. Â It's not a geodude, after all. Â As he sits up, he hugs Ralts back. Â "I am, so, so sorry for putting you through that. Â I shouldn't have left you there for so long." Â They just stay there for a moment, enjoying each others' company after what felt like hours apart.

As he was regaining his breath from that vigorous running, he and Shiva saw Nathan's Ralts bolt straight outside the doors. "Where is the little guy go- oh. Ralts must be heading towards Nathan, and given the bond they share and the species' already high empathy, the poor guy must have been frantic with worry. Oh dear," Ventus said, feeling a little better after he had a few seconds to rest. Turning his head back to Shiva, he motion for her to follow him. " While I'm concerned for both Ralts and Nathan's safety, they are not the ones currently battling a raging Monkey. We'll meet them there, bar anything else arriving to make thing more 'interesting.'"
With that said, began to lead Shiva to the battle grounds, keeping pace with her as best he can.
