In that case, Spira meets up with Nathan for the HM learning this IG day (and while he's there, he heals up his party);
-Yanma, even though Spira has some reservations about letting the new catch learn such a move, he's willing to trust it with the responsibility. I kinda envision the wings or tail being the source of the light.
-Azazsga, rather enjoys playing "I've got halogen headlights" okay, quit blinking those.
-Nubi, now his gems will let off an unnatural reflection
-Noire, Of course Spira trusts his longest traveling companion (not including Hida) with the legendary HM! I kinda like the idea of the zipper being one of the sources of light.
-Toya, yellow marking source of light.
others are not taught the move for now.
concerning the surprise:
"So, ehm, what did ya want besides the HM tutoring?"

"Actually...it's more HM teaching! I've got another one that I know at least a few of your pokemon should be able to learn. We found this one on our own, technically. We're keeping it a secret for the most part for now. I think Toya in particular is going to like this one, though. It should be pretty helpful in the Ruins when we're not facing Ghosts, and I'm confident you guys can use it responsibly."
Finally time for some of Spira's pokemon to learn ROCK SMASH if Spira so wishes!
Here's the list of compatible pokemon he has (from what I remember, anyways):
- Dusknoir
- A-Marowak (whenever Spira gets her back)
- Pumpkaboo
- Beedrill
- Magcargo
Double check Bulbapedia if I missed anyone that might be able to learn it!

Out of the list though; Toya and Beedrill are the only ones to learn the move for now.
Now, for some nickname RP'ing;
"Hmm... I do believe this Yanma is deserving of a nickname, how do you feel about 'Neura', like the darners of old?"

Nathan also makes sure to give Spira the general rundown on HM usage if necessary.
- in trainer battles, usage of the moves is only allowed in League supervised battles such as Gym Battles and the Little Cup
- it's generally fine to use the move outside of trainer battles, we're just trying to keep ROCK SMASHÂ a secret for the most part, so be mindful of who you're using it around
- if in a dangerous situation, usage of an HM can be justified for obvious reasons.
- generally recommended that we only teach the moves to pokemon we can trust to use them responsibly since mishandling of them may draw the wrong kind of attention and/or get us in trouble.
All fairly common sense stuff, and that's really the extent of what I have to say on that matter for now! Now just waiting on Spirit to respond.
(I almost forgot , but there IS something I wanted to ask after Spira has opened up towards Shiva! Let's assume it occurs after that talk and before he leaves for the night, okay?)
---------------------------------------
Shiva would (somehow) attempt to hold Spira back after having wished him a good night's rest, if needed by directly getting a hold on his hand. A good portion of concern is in her eyes behind the glasses. "W-wait a moment, please! I, eh, wanted to inquire about something, just in case it'll have a negative effect and to prevent any nasty suprises we'd have to handle...."
As soon as she's got his attention, she takes a deep breath and comes straight to the point. "Do you or your ghosts have anything against Cleanse Tags? Because, you see..." She'll show him the one she has once crafted herself, it's a small piece of wood feat. painted symbols attached to a nice pitchblack leather cord. "I wanted to keep that close to me down the Ruins, it especially wards off Ghosts with Grass or Water as their secondary Type. THAT symbol here...." *points to the upper one* "...It's the symbol of Giratina's shrine." She smiles faintly when gazing at that.

"Actually, no, we don't have anything in particular against them." he rubs his beard, "I've just never actually used 'em myself."

Gotcha! Tubareel was caught!
0/0/5
20 base HP. +1 Str Surprise.
Strong Jaw
Water Gun, Ice Fang, Swagger, Aqua Tail, Crunch, Thrash, Skull Bash
Ooh boy, that thing's a beast. Taming it is probably going to be difficult, even more so than with Onix...
Two questions:
 - is Tubareel capable of fighting on land without any major penalties to Brawl based moves?
 - out of curiosity, how much would it sell for in the event I decided to not keep it?
He'll have the same penalty as Carvanha; however, he has a lot of reach. So on a battlefield adjacent to a body of water he can make Brawl moves at no penalty.Â
Tubareel is so disobedient that most trainers won't take him, like a Gyarados. You'll have to find a special buyer to get anywhere near his full value, but a Telperion researcher would pay $5000 since he's an invader from Tandor.
When Angela gives you the grim smile of battle, and your eyes meet, you figure she wouldn't take on a Pokemon that was less than perfectly beautiful like herself. And you know from her eyes why Poison Pokemon the world over fear her!
Azumarill and Florges begin dancing. Azurill leaves a puddle of water in her footsteps - whenever that water crosses Florges' footsteps, tiny Elanor flowers spring up as if rising from vital seeds.

The dance continues, increasing in intensity, until all those little flowers (and Florges' own flower) are adding their petals to the storm.

Tanuki would order an Evasion, but there's not enough cover to be a good excuse against this strong of an area attack. Especially for a flying Pokemon. Her playgrounds are designed to crumple and rebuild.
