The Nidoran female you corner seems a little taken aback that a tiny little thing like you would dare to challenge their mighty King. But she scurries off.
You're kept waiting a long time, but there is suddenly a great to-do from a certain large warren. The earth explodes around the small entrance, and a troop of especially large Nido emerge, covered in mud. Two Nidorino and two large Nidorina lead the way as smaller Nidoran run on ahead, clearing a path. Behind them, the most overgrown Pokemon yet - a huge, greyish-purple Nidoking with a forest of mossy horns on his head. Every step he takes makes the moss turn to mud and the ground sink around his feet. At his side is a rather smaller Nidoqueen, wearing a load of silver jewelry on her limbs.
They approach, about a hundred feet from the Sword. Nidoking settles down to his haunches and casually rests his hands on his paunchy belly. The ground shakes again, and you all struggle to keep your balance. Nidoking's courtiers remain standing.
Shiva gets the impression that only when faced with a great threat does Nidoking draw the Sword, allowing this relatively peaceful warren to exist within the Silver Caverns.

Nathan gives the Nido royalty a bow, formally greeting them before posing his explanation of the situation. "Greetings, your majesties. My apologies for disturbing you so suddenly, but we direly need your assistance. The surface world is in danger of being overrun by a Legendary Psychic type, and to save it, we need to acquire the various Artifacts made from the remains of Keenglaive that were hidden deep underground by various means. Unfortunately, this means that we require the use of the Sword that is lodged in that rock over there. As none of us are qualified already, we obviously cannot dislodge it ourselves, but we require it nonetheless. Perhaps we could arrange something?"
Nidoking looks amenable to discussion. But he seems worried about something, which is where Shiva's near-mind-reading skills come in handy. The big King is worried he won't be able to defend his kingdom from the giant Pokemon without the Sword. That knowledge might come in handy in your negotiations.
Nidoqueen gives you a gift, the smallest silver jewelry from her collection. (Only worth about 800$). Then the royal family looks expectantly to see what you will offer in exchange for this Sword that is so critical to their way of life.
He ask the Nido around him. "Excuse me mighty king. I have under my care a Nidorina and a Nidorino who I promise I would evolve to their final forms. You by chance don't have at least two Moon Stones left with you?"
Since I loose the bide I don't want to go empty hand from this place .

Nathan gives Nidoqueen a bow in thanks.
Hmmmm...something equal in value to the Sword, an item that grants offensive prowess that has no peer...it's a tough sell...but I think I have an idea.
"It is understandable for a King to be worried about his Kingdom. What if I were to teach you and your followers a secret technique in exchange, one able to crush massive boulders instantaneously and greatly speed the construction and destruction of tunnels, even through solid rock if given enough time? I am capable of doing it as many times as required, so long as we have enough time to continue deeper down and find the fourth and final Artifact and return to the surface to eliminate the threat of the coming danger. If you wish to see the technique in action, my close companion, Gallade, would be more than happy to demonstrate it for you. It is a very powerful technique with utility beyond battle, one that is capable of being used by others besides royalty. What it lacks in sheer power could be made up for in numbers."
He doesn't know what that is at first. But when you explain, he gives you the location of the cavern where he evolved. You can spend the first Encounter tomorrow searching that place for moonstones or shards.
Gallade shows off the Rock Smash move, to much interest. A Nidorino steps forward to receive the gift.
Upon seeing that it's some form of mechanism which grants a new move, Nidoking demands more such machines that can enable his massive family to better defend their home. He'll also be getting you to spend a while using the Hidden Machine to teach all his top warriors and diggers to use Rock Smash.

Yup, no problems with teaching that Nidorino ROCK SMASH.
"If any among your ranks are capable of producing light, we do have another mechanism that can make such skills almost blinding, and those affected by it will be unable to fight back as effectively. It is the only other mechanism we have on hand at the moment to my knowledge, unfortunately, and not one a typical member of the Nidoran family can utilize as far as I know, but very useful if there are those among your ranks who can. My companions and I have used it to fell several of the large pokemon that we encountered on our way here, even despite our smaller statures. Gallade can also demonstrate this technique for you."
"And it would be my pleasure to teach those you require how to use ROCK SMASH as part of the exchange. That should not pose any difficulties."
He wants more, even if it's a something only he can use. He, wielding the Sword, normally defended against the worst threats all on his own.

Shiva's got a nice TM of Dazzling Gleam and Toxic she got from Angela, but she doesn't want to part with those so she won't even mention them towards this ultrabulky version of a Nido.
The group found three ancient TMs of Aqua Jet though, maybe one can be spared if he'd like to learn this nice attack AND he's technically able to do so regardless his ?-move list in the book? One copy went to Arachnautilus, Heart took another, Nathan took the third for his Dratini to teach but they already know this move upon hatching. So, maybe that's an option? Shiva will attempt to sweet-talk Nidoking by praising how useful Aqua Jet is to defend his kin from fellow Ground Types and lets Azu proudly demonstrate this attack if so, all to discreetly make this move come off as more worthy and important than it is.
What she does however, is hand something to Yena and whisper a request to him, her special darkdoggo nods and boldly approaches the poisonous king to place a lavender pouch of velvet by his big feet. Then, he makes a gesture that'd be interpreted as submissive at first glance and cautious-but-determined-to-bring-that-king-down-if he-tries-something-funny at second glance, lets out a yip of 'Please accept this gift' and leaps back to Shiva's side to receive strokes and pets for his given task completed. "Noble King of a Nidos", Shiva will adress him while still hiding behind the Shield but peeking at him from the edge of it,
"Inside this pouch you'll find sand, but not just any sand as THIS sand is so full of Earthpower that you'll feel your moves that channel the energy of the earth itself becoming stronger just by keeping this sand with you. Do you accept it, is it to your liking? I took this from a Trapinch whose yaws could close around your whole head, so big it was." She shudders massively to demonstrate how scary this encounter of hers was, though only for the show-effect as it technically wasn't at all. (¬‿¬ )
She also discreetly turns towards Cosh to discuss something privately with him = so that none of the Nidos catch on it, but the others of the group can listen in and give their opinion on the following if they like.
Shiva does not wish for Nidoking himself be aware of this option unless it's certain that it can be done and the others agree, as it involves spending Encounter Slots. "So, Cosh, listen..." She waves him a little closer for more hush-hush-dramatic, "You know a spell that will open a crack in the ground itself, one so deep that it's life-threatening to get close too and that'll bring down every opponent that's so unlucky to fall down, do you? We Trainer would call this 'Fissure', a Pokemon Move.
If I were to offer this Nidoking this move to know as I can teach it to him via tutoring, would you be able to aid in that? Please? Nono, not your Pokemon, you yourself. ...Well?" (Read, I'd want him to help in such a manner that it'll grant that 1 autosuccess to a Tutor Roll.)
