Upon hearing 'incredible rare', the shivering increased. That much, that she struggled to keep herself and her voice calm and concerned. ...Oh, the delrious smile got a little wider as well.
"Tandor... Never heared of such a region. That Tracton which was main prize at Shuckleball appearantly originates from there as well, from what Mr. Pin told me upon asking, doesn't it?" ... "From space, huh? How neat to hear... So 'Comite' is what it is called - hehe, it matches it quite well. Thanks for the info... I'll surely take good care of this alive rock." So she was right wither her feeling that the rock she encountered was somewhat astral... Silently, she thanked the stars for being beneloventtowards her once again and brought lil' Comite to her. Limited Psychic Powers sounds very interesting. Another elusive Pokemon. Not as nice as the highly emotional powers of Fairies, but still will come in very handy~
"Oh, I hope you don't mind that I used the Pokedex to try to call home to Castelia City... But I didn't reached through. Must be the distance..."
She then kept silent for a while. Trying to reduce the shivering by calming herself down mentally, while looking up to the sky... The shivering originates from excitement and delight, not from fear, so it was alright. Cottonee, being her closest companion and a sensitive Fairy-Type, must have picked up the mood of her owner and replied by cuddling up closer to her...
Then, words that were barely more than a whisper broke the silence, but they were surely audible to Nathan. (I hope so, at least...) "Will you battle against the Gym Leader in Corsage? From what I picked up, he's a local hero there... I bet he's an experienced and unforgiving fighter... "
"Yes, that's correct. Â Tracton also originates from Tandor. Â There's actually a little data on it in the Creshire dex since it's a prize pokemon in this region. Â It's more common in its home region, and it's an incredibly unruly and very powerful Steel and Dragon type. Â It's very mechanical in appearance, but I have no idea how much of that is manmade. Â Another Tandorian pokemon we might encounter is Baashaun. Â It's a sheep pokemon, and is sheered for wool much like Mareep is. Â It's not overly common, but you might see a few on some Mareep based farms. Â Those are the only two Tandorian pokemon I know to infrequently appear in Creshire, though. I'm surprised you haven't heard of Tandor, by the way. It was all over the news headlines for a month a year and a half ago."
Nathan scoffs slightly at the question about whether he'd face Corsage's gym leader. Â "Yes, I plan to take him on as well as the remaining 6 after him. Â Those badges aren't just for show, and we'll need all the strength we can muster if those predictions hold true...local hero or not, though, only Corsage sees him in that light. Â You won't find anyone living outside of Corsage praising him, I can assure you of that. Â I'm reserving my judgement for when I actually meet him, though."
"Steel and Dragon Type... Hehe..  Ven would love such a Pokemon." It was a slightly weird combination, but surely an interesting one. But 'it's unruly'... Muste the partial dragon in that creature.
"Ah, suprised? Well... I don't follow the news, do there's that... In fact, I don't do much during day when I'm free than reading all dort of thing, helping out Dad on his job and engaging in what a non-profession might carefully call 'natural magic'... And watching the broadcasts of the Unovian League when that time of the year has come."
That scoffing remains uncommented. It was as she expected... He'll still fight. Regardless of being praised by the citizans or not. Such a fire in him, determination practially in his blood stream. Oh, she surely could learn one or two things from having such a person around... He'll make it to an excellent Trainer once, no doubt. "If that's the case... I wish you best of luck... And if you would not mind, I'd gladly watch your battle then if I happen to be free then." His battle style may vary a lot from her own, but that does not prevent the possibility to pick up a few more tricks. No need to voice the secondary intention to see Kirlia using Double Team a few times... After all, she'll need that if she wishes to tutor Helios in this move.
Silence dwelled again for a while. It was a pleasant, enjoyable one... No negative or worried emotions seem to be present. Shiva remained a little in this state, and her gaze fell up to sky that was decorated with stars by now. It became rather dark meanwhile...
Once all this have calmed her down somewhat- luckily, the shivering has stopped or at least became not noticable on the outside - she finally got up from her place, Cottonee, Azurill and the fainted Spearow still in her arms. Fennekin was munching on a stick he found randomly... or was hiding inside his fur all the time. "Well then... I'll head to bed then... Might need the sleep." (She'll withdraw her Pokemon right before actually going to sleep, leaving only Azurill outside her Pokeball during night, as well the Spearow.)
However, she turned around one last tine before entering the tent. "Unless there is something else you need to ask or elaborate with me...? Now's the ideal time to do so."
Nathan looks over at Kirlia as Shiva turns to go. It's been great to see him so happy, but...he sighs. "Yeah...if you have any ideas about why he evolved, could you please let me know? Last time I'll ask, I promise. I know you probably have your reasons for not telling me, but...I just want to do my best to look out for him after..."
It's on the tip of his tongue. He doesn't know if he wants to tell Shiva anything about how he first met Ralts, though...not at this time, anyways. He might spill the beans with a little nudging, though.
Interesting note: Azurill doesn't give a Hoothoot about those Deyo flowers. She's never cared about any flowers, except you notice she is interested in wild roses.
Fennekin is a bit interested - they remind Fennekin of crystals.. Helios won't even open his eyes to observe them; he's just apathetic about them.
Togepi thinks they are pretty and likes the smell, but isn't quite as interested as Cottonee. Noibat likes how shiny they are, and tears one to pieces while "frisking" it! He seems almost like a dog with a prey animal.
Shiva stops midway upon hearing him sigh and voicing those few words... Oh, she should have known. She should have damn well known that. He's a fierely fighter, so he would most likely struggle with that matter.... For longer than she actually expected him. It didn't felt like his pride was wounded by the fact that, well... She unknowingly overtrumped him without the intention to do so, which resulted in triggering his closest companion to evolve. But it clearly gave him things to mull over. Maybe there even was a hint of sadness, but she couldn't tell for sure.
Looks like bedtime will be postponed a little more...
Well , we're down with that, dear, are we?
Hmm...
She turned around on her path and placed the Pokemon she was currently holding in her arms carefully down, before telling them to head inside the tent already if they wished to do so. And if, to please take the fainted Spearow with them. Master will follow as soon as possible.
Next, she gave Nathan a compasionate expression for a while, saying nothing... Only the wind howling in the tops of the tree was audible, occassionally the chittering of a Bug Type being added.
Before she slowly walked towards Kirlia, and slightly petting the Pokemon's head, taking care not to touch the red horns. As expected, Kirlia seemed to enjoy the care as well as her presence, and replied with a slight smile and a chirp towards Shiva.
" ...Nathan, there is nothing to worry about. Everything's fine. I'm glad you don't blame me for what has happened, nor turned hostile towards me just because it weren't, I'm sorry to speak it out so directly, you who triggered dear Ralts' evolution. The thing is, however, I'm suprised over it just as you are..."
She took a short break before continueing. "Maybe you picked up by now that I'm somewhat good with Fairy-Types. Cottonee became my closest and favorite companion within almost two weeks, while others might need a whole month to come that far. Azurill, who didn't replied to your effort cheering it up, almost immediately grew fond of me instead. I have a liking for members of this Type, and they seem to return this favour. Fairies are selective over who they decide to like and trust, and every single one has a personality. Sure, every Pokemon has a slightly different personallity which distinguishes it from other members of its species... But this trait is most prominent in the Type of Fairies. Â Remember, the evolution-family of Ralts is part Fairy, beside Gallade. By the way, that arises the question in me... Is your Kirlia a male or a female exemplar?. Both look and behave the same way, so it's hard to distinguish unless bringing up direct breeding partners to it."
"There's also that fact that while you and Ven were out in the woods in Trillium - without Pokemon on hand - it was me who cared and watched over lil' Ralts. Lil' one was pretty upset once it has picked up that something with you was wrong, and it was me who was there for it at this time."
Let's not mention the more vicious and dangerous nature of selected Fairy-Types, neither the issue with F.A.E.S. ... It'd only upset him right now.
"There's also... the fact that I'm a somewhat highly emotional person. No, not directly 'empathic' like dear Ventus is.It's on a different level. Mostly I stay calm on the outside, but you saw by yourself how quick and unexpected my mood can change as you questioned me about the egg that was formerly in Vincent's possession. It's a gift as well a curse to be sensitive to emotions. They're practically speaking nothing else than energy, but I'm drifting apart here... Thing is, I feel like this is a trait 'magical' or 'elusive' Pokemon including most Fairy-Types find interesting and appealing. They don't seem to fear approaching me, especiall once seeing that I pose no harm by not being a natural fighter and encouraged to outright attack and capture them. Fennekin is a great example for this." ... "So, in short, I strongly believe Ralts must have picked up a happy and delighted mood in me that originates from the work at the Daycare in Ginger Town, and enjoyed it that much, that it randomly decided to evolve."
"... You can be proud of you, having such a wonderful Pokemon as companion."
'I just want to do my best AFTER...' Oh, was this the day Shiva would get to know Nathan's backstory as well? Ven's was still fresh in her mind... However, she greatly appreciated the fact that he seemingly has gained some sort of trust in her to mention into that direction at all. Good job here, you're fine to entrust her things... She'll gladly listen. Hoever, she clearly saw that he was still hesitating.
"Nathan... I give you the same thing I already gave Ven: That I will absolutely not pressure you to tell me anything about your past. Such a thing is highly disrespectful in my view. I will glady listen once you feel like revealing things to me, but feel all free to take as much time as you wish. I'll surely wait, and will make sure not to miss a single word of yours."
She stayed a little longer, still carefully stroking Kirlia's head, before... "For now, I wish you a good night's sleep. Stay safe."
Seeing Lucifer bear down on one of those blasted flowers and utterly eviscerate it brought a very notable smile on Ventus's face. 'It appears that my Niobat desires the same thing I do, regarding those fell plants: there complete and utter destruction. I can't outright encourage him right now for his actions now, but the little devil is going to start obtaining extra apples for this form of behavior,' he thought, letting out a low chuckle at the thought of a Noivern wiping out whole swath of those flowers with Boomburst. He promised he wouldn't destroy them, but if any of his own Pokémon holds scorn for those vile weeds...well, he won't discourage such animosity at all.
Ohhh, there they were, those blasted flowers. Hehe... damn.
They were so lovely to Shiva... there must be something magical about them... Something that made her curious to investigate more in this matter. Cottonee was thrilled to bits by these flowers once she called the fluffball out of her Pokeball - Master found more of these flowers! Hooray!! - and from what she could pick up, Fennekin was somewhat 'silently interested in them'. Interested enough to sniff on one. What a nice smell they give...
Azurill though, didn't cared about those. Hmm... It must have a different effect on every Pokemon, keeping its natural traits in mind. Not all Fairy-Types seem to be outright fond of these elusive flowers.
About what Shiva did next... Well, she was HIGHLY INSECURE whether this was the right decision while Ventus was still around. But Shiva just could not help it... It may be a unique change, last time he clearly prevented her from interacting with these plants... Regardless of the fact they splitted the party formerly, causing only trouble and issues...However, Ven's reaction upon encountering the flowers again was WAY less aggressive and intimidating, so... maybe...
She could not endure this anymore. She picked up two of these Deyo Flowers, very carefully, and placed them inside the empty crate she found back then in Fireweed Forest. (that one that formerly contained Soothe Bell and stuff) This time, we'll take them with us.
Ventus, who was currently standing as far away from those blightening flowers as he could without losing sight of his friend, immedianlty noticed when Shiva snatch a couple of flowers and stored them away. He briskly closed the distance between him and the young lass, and placed a firm hand on her shoulder. "Shiva, it would for the best if you left the Deyo collection to Nathan, as he knows how to process them into a 'less' malicious form. He made swear not to raze these these Kuyrem damn flowers in Ginger Town, but that doesn't mean I distrust these deyos any less. Remember, they can still bewitch you and your Pokémon, so if you would..." Ventus said in a low, stern voice, looking her straight in the eyes while his other hand (Which was already gloved...somehow) was held out open to her. Even if he allow Nathan to collect those flowers against his better judgement, he does not want Shiva to start up that habit...
