"Besides, I'd enjoy spending the evening... alone... with you... been awile." She couldn't help but to lean into his shoulder again at this point, and mutter the last few words into his green tweed. Who thought this fabric was so cozy? Besides this, Shiva was overly delighted that things between them did not fall apart because of some bad phrasing in some words, and trusted that things will become better/the group's bond would become stronger due to surviving such issues.
It looks like in the end, Corsage did had quite an impact on her apart from the sleep issues.
With a flick of his wrist , Ventus presented a single rose to Shiva placing it into her hands as stood , pulling her up with them . "Then I formally invite you to a dinner between just you and I. A rose by any other name is just as sweet , but it pales when placed in your kind , caring hands. We will tell Nathan of our plans , and leave to enjoy the rest of the evening by ourselves . You are right that we give him dpace , so lets not wrap him up in our night together ," he said , giving a subtle nod to Azu , before leading Shiva into the lobby to await Nathan .
He didn't expect the blue mouse 's assurance in this matter , but he appreciates it greatly . After all , what better way to start a evening outing then to say it with roses ? They are getting a Honey Dipped Ranc Berry for this ...
The boy doesn't seem to understand what the paper and pencil is for. He tosses both his Pokeballs!
From the flashing Pokeball comes a Machoke! From the Pokeball around his neck comes a Sandile. The Sandile slithers over his feet and cuddles his ankles. Machoke blinks stupidly in the half-light from Fennekin's fire. The ragged boy mimes a boxing match at Shiva! Sandile bares his fangs, too.
It's clear to Shiva the boy is offering a Pokemon battle for the items.

Couldn't help but to connect the beautiful rose with her blue mouse..."Wait, WAIT, what has Azurill to do with that? When... How do you even know about that? She only showed some magic trick to me and the Fortune Hunter back then..."
Shiva wasn't mad, not at all, rather...stunned and curious, both about Ventus and Azurill. What other secrets does the blue mouse hold...

Oh... OH! Now it was clear to her, as Shiva packed away the Journal, yet a little disppointed... However, a battle down in a ship's bottom for some items and lightened by a faint lamp and the torch of Fennekin's basswood stick... What a nice thought.
Machoke were surely strong, and Sandile could be dangrous, but too bad Shiva owned both Psychic and Fairy Types. Azurill could appreciate a battle against an intimidating opponent such a Machoke while she actually had barely a thing to fear due to typing, neither from Sandile. Blue mouse will be accompanied by Helios. Neither he or Kyuu were able to directly use their psychic power in battle, but Shiva was all eager to change that.
(Battle Start!~ Awaiting Initiatives before giving orders. Will use Helios and Azurill.)
Azurill: (6) + 4 = 10
Machoke: (1) + 4 Dex + 4 Survival = 9, the only result Shiva can beat
Sandile: (1) + 8 = 9
Helios: (4) +4 = 8

Ventus gives a wink to Shiva , a rougish smile gracing his face as he pulled her up . " My friend , don't you know a magician never reveals his secrets ? Azu assisted me in this Flower Gift , but that ' s all I can reveal , " he said , giving a slight folrish as he handed her the rose. In truth he was not much of a magician , but he is very skilled with tricks like these !
( Lets head to the lobby now , so that we can inform Nathan and start our not date ! )
Nathan hung out at that campsite for another hour before heading back. Â He'd spent the time just...thinking. Â Watching Kirlia dance in happiness that things were looking up again.
Was everything better? Â No. Â
Were the things that weren't improving? Â A little.
How was he going to take on the gym leader's ghosts?  Hmmm....well, at least he was going in aware that there would be surprises in store...it couldn't be as bad as what he'd seen of that dreamscape last night, right?
How much did Shiva remember of last night's nightmare? Â He had no idea...she hadn't really reacted in any significant way to his brief comment...Kirlia just told him she was...confused? Â He wasn't sure if she'd believe him if he were to tell her what had happened...but he had Orthros and that Flash Ball's picture as a bit of...semi-proof if needed.
Why had Orthros decided to come with him? Â He didn't really know, but the hellhound at least seemed content enough with being there that he wasn't going to leave. Â Like it or not, he'd accepted responsibility for it, and there wasn't any going back now unless he were to release it. Â While he didn't want to put Orthros and Ventus at risk of killing each other...his curiosity was just getting the better of him, and he couldn't have asked for a better opportunity to train and learn about such a unique subspecies. Â Besides, Delta Houndour is just another pokemon in the end, after all. Â Isn't too much different from a normal Houndour from what he could tell. Â He was going to have to keep the dog happy, though...it might not be entirely satisfied with Dry and Canned Food...hmmm...
All this and more, he contemplated with a sad smile on his face. Â Things were...dicey, sure, but he'd find a way through. Â Nothing like that had ever stopped him before.
It was getting darker and darker though...Nathan could practically feel a pair of eyes staring at him from the direction of that game trail he'd scouted out earlier...Absol or not, it was rather unnerving...welp, time to get back to the Center for the night...before anything dangerous occurred...
Kirlia was more than happy to Teleport them back to Corsage.
Neither of them were expecting to find Ventus and Shiva waiting for them in the Pokemon Center's lobby, though...
Nathan has to stop and blink a few times.  He's not sure what to say...he hadn't been expecting BOTH of them to be waiting there...he hadn't been expecting Ventus to be waiting for him at all...

Ventus clearly picked up Nathan stunned disbelief and the hint of uncertatity/wariness at thier presence , and gave him an apologetic smile . " Sorry for the surprise , but Shiva informed me that you were arriving soon , so we decided to await you here . We are going out for dinner tonight to spend some quality time together , and we just wanted to inform you on the off chance something happens that delays meeting up with you Tomarrow. If you need is , just give Shiva a call , as I don't imaginet you want to speak with me at the moment . Not after our ... discussion. "
??? Battle Round 1?
So be it then. Let's hope this all will go well... But in the end, it was a nice opportunity for training.
Azurill already had a battle in this ship, so she hopefully wasn't too afraid of the dark. Helisos should know that he has nothig to fear from a pure Fighting-Type, and for the partial darkness in the reptile, Azu was there.
"Azurill, the foe might be big and intimidating, but fear not, he cannot hurt you too much! You know what to do, we already performed this combo several times before. Aim for the sandy reptile, please. As for you, Helios... Too bad we're not done with Tutoring yet, huh? Doesn't matter, evade any dangrous moves, please."
Orders for this round: Azu will use Tail Whip, followed by a Bubble Beam on Sandile. As for Abra, he'll evade for now (especially any Dark-Type move), and use Strike on Sandile if no move was targeted on him.
Accuracy Roll Tail Whip: 3 Dext + 2 Fight + 1 Perform - 2 Actions =4 d6
Effect: Lowers both foe's Vitality by 1.
Accuracy Roll Bubble Beam: 3 Dext + 2 Fight + 2 Channel - 3 Actions = 4 d6
Damage Roll: 2 Strenght + 3 Power of move, no STAB yet = 5 d6 + 1 autodamage due to SE
Additional notes: 1 CD to reduce foe's Dexterity by 1.
Accuracy Evading: 3 Dext + 2 Fight + yet 0 Evasion = 5 d6
Possible Accuracy Roll Strike: 3 Dext + 2 Fight + 0 Brawl = 5 d6
Possible Damage Roll: 2 Strength + 1 Power of 'move' = 3 d6
Additional notes: Azurill would receive normal damage from Fighting moves, while Hlios would receive not very effective from them. He's weak to Dark, though.
At 'not after our discussion', Shiva could not help but to gave both Nathan and Ventus a somewhat confused glimpse. There was a little curiosity in it as well, same with some worry that things between them could become difficult again.
But, as she said before, it may be better to give some space if needed. Cornering a person was no good, in no case...
Going out for dinner... Now to think about it, she began to be nervous. Just as little bit, though.
