No one had a steller performance during today's training session, but that was perfectly alright with Ventus; after all the battles his Pokémon had undergone recently. 'Pushing my family member to their utmost limits is always an ideal situation, but doing that without pause or rest will wear them down to the nub. There is always room for improvement, and their is plenty of time for that on this long, arduous journey of mine!' the researcher though, whipping off the sweat from his own brow after the vigorous exercise he conducted himself. His body was regaining its former condition, but that didn't mean he could slack off on his personal regimine!
The empath wrapped up today's training and returned everyone to their Pokeball, and headed to the lobby in order to check and see if anyone else had arrived by now. To his delight, Nathan was there, feeding his Porygon 2 some honey! At the smell of food being served, Apsis Pokeball shoot out of Ven's sleve at his own accord, shocking him somewhat as the giant snake slither over to Nathan side and stared him down, pouting at them in their own special way (Which is to say, slightly terrifying!) . Some inorganic block of stuff was getting a treat first while she didn't get her meat yet? No fair, hmpt! The researcher could only shake his head in amusement at his Arbok's determined efforts to get her treat, before he walked up and address his friend. "Hello Nathan! I presume you got my message and nothing particularly ruinous happen while I was away, hmm?"
I thought Dream Stones were for Hidden Abilities, which would be a good item but not really relevant to Gengar's evolution. (They're a pretty common fangame addition).
Gastly is raring to battle after watching that gym session. The other two would be content just training together when you get back from Gastly's battle. Since you didn't participate in the gym battle, you aren't tired and you can still squeeze in two encounter slots.
Theo and Froakie each gain 1Xp.
You find two challengers, and you can battle either of your choice.
A man named Clyde wants to battle, not for money, but for Pokemon! He has a freshly netted Pansage who was trying to steal his fish. He'll give you that if you win. If Clyde wins, however, you have to go catch him a Finneon from Murkrow Cove.
There's also a little girl named Sawwy (or is she saying Sally?) who wants to test out her brave Teddiursa against a scary Ghost. She'll battle you for a small $50 bet, but double experience.
Sailor Nightshade Round 5
"I found Helioptile as an egg in the Camas Desert! Mamma Heliolisks lay their eggs in the sands of Bromeliad Bay, where their dry skin drinks up the precious water and gives them a good start in life. This one was a runt, though - a much smaller egg for some reason!"
"As for Kalso, we only go there once every 5 years or so. It's a long trip and we only go if a wealthy patron wants to host a party."

Sailor Nightshade Round 6
Nighshade sends Charmander back out! (You're also entitled to a switch if you need one).
Sailor Nightshade Round 6
"Thank you! Camas Desert? I think I heard that name before... Isn't that a place somewhere west in Chreshire?" She'll check that in the Guidebook Professor Mallorn gifted her later at some more quiet place. At the mentioning of a weathhy patron, Shiva also remembered where they actually are currently - on deck of a luxury cruise under the bright sun summoned by a bunch of Bellossom. Modeled after a Mantine. And they're holding a Pokemon battle that included performances rather found in Contests, one that rather quickly became a real challenge... Wonder if she'll later tell this to the others, they will believe her.
However, Victreebel has been defeated, yay! Success. And from what Shiva could tell, the bright sun was empowering Helioptile, but also paid its tribute occassionally. Charmander was also back on stage on battlefield, but the lizard looked exhausted... In fact, both lizards looked exhausted. Fennekin looked not that well either, but Shiva trusted in the fox's internal fire now. If we go out, we go out with a blast!~
"Very well done, both of you! Rewards will follow. Sorry, dear Nightshade, but I fear this battle has turned to our favour... But I'll tell you that before time - I GREATLY enjoyed the challenge of yours. Therefore, thank you." ... "So be it then. Fennekin, end things for Helioptile with a mighty single Ember; you, Kyuu, keep on making good use of your claws."
Orders for this round: Hopefully defeating Helioptile with a single Ember, before Espurr will (as well hopefully) finish off Charmander. If Ember misses or otherwise fails, Espurr will target Helioptile instead.
Effect: Still raw damage...
Secondary Effect: Whoever wins, I hope the audience cheers on the winner. C:
Pain Penalization: 0 on Kyuu, - 2 on Fennekin.
Accuracy Roll Ember on Helioptile: 3 Dext + 2 Fight + 2 Channel - 2 Pain = 5 D6, can crit.
Damage Roll: 2 Strenght + 2 power of move + 1 STAB + 1 due to Sunny Weather + 2 due to Balze-ability triggered = 8 D6, nice.
Additional notes: 1 CD to inflict Burn1.
Accuracy Roll Scratch 1: 3 Dext + 2 Fight + 0 Brawl - 2 Actions = 3 D6
Accuracy Roll Scratch 2: 3 Dext + 2 Fight + 0 Brawl - 3 Actions = 2 D6
Damage Roll: 2 Strength + 2 power of move = 4 D6, not bad.
Summary:
Fennekin is at -2 Pain but powered up by Sunny Weather and Blaze, Kyuu is fresh.
Charmander is on 2/5Hp from the previous battle, Helioptile is at 3/5HP and powered up by his/her ability.

 "Okay
Sally, here's a ghost, it's a Ghastly. Ghosts are special, have you tried using a normal-type attack at them, you should probably try and see what happens if you don't know it yet.
Ghastly will use Hypnosis until it hits and then go with Dream Eater. When teddiursa is at 1 or 2hp, Ghastly will not use Hypnosis and instead use strike, if it's not asleep of course.
 Hypnosis: 3dex + 3surv
(does it get brawl, cana or something else?) -4 =2acc
 Dream Eater: 3 + 4 + 0 = 7pwr | 3 + 3 + 1 =7acc
 Strike: 1 + 3 =4pwr | 7acc
Sailor Nightshade Round 6
"We can't let Espurr get off scot free! Solarpowered Ember on the cat! Use our precise strike strategy!"
Ember on Espurr
2 Dex +3 Fight -2 pain +2 canalize = 5 dice
(4)(6)(3)(1)(4) "Ah, you're in too much pain to land the blow required. But it's still a good hit!"
4* Str +2 power +1 stab +1 Sunny Day -2 vit = 6 dice
(3)(1)(5)(2)(2)(4) Espurr takes 2 damage.
Burn: (1)
The audience waits with bated breath as Fennekin winds up for his attack. They've seen how much that inner fire can do, and it will be even stronger now.
Ember on Helioptile
(3)(1)(6)(1)(2)
But the attack misses entirely as Helioptile leaps right over the flames! For a moment, he tries to run on the air, absorbing the sunshine and powering up his Thundershock. Before he's finished, Kyuu is trying to land that final blow on Charmander.
Scratch
(5)(1)(3) All he needs is one damage out of two chances. Kyuu must hold back just in case.
(6)(4) Charmander is out of the fight! Nightshade takes him by the hand and makes a bow to the audience, who clap politely at Charmander's excellent efforts.
Thundershock
Was 5 dice, now 1 less from pain
(5)(1)(4)(4) Hit
Helioptile retaliates, certain he can take Fennekin out of the fight. He's holding back just a touch, but the sheer amount of energy crackling along his energy beam is startling.
(4)(1)(4)(4)(6) Fennekin takes 2 damage and faints in a halo of red and yellow energy.
"Oh, I'm sorry Shiva! There's only so much Helioptile can hold back when he's soaking in the sun. You, bring Fennekin a nice fuzzy blanket to recover on, and some sweet-smelling sassafras twigs. Hop to it!"
The crewman hops to it.
This makes the audience gather in closer. Almost everyone on the ship is now here, watching - it's 1 on 1, both Pokemon wounded. Either could deal the final blow.
Scratch
(6)
(4)(5) Helioptile is out of the fight!!!
Shiva is victorious, by a hair!
Nightshade immediately doses her solar powered Pokemon with potions to prevent passing out. Meanwhile, the assembled crew members are going insane, yelling and grabbing Bellossom by the hands and dancing around with them. Shiva sees money change hands between a few of the crew members, but even the ones grumbling look pleased to have witnessed such a spectacle. Kyuu looks around at them, blinking in the sunlight, not quite sure why everyone is so excited. He totters over to Shiva for pets.
But Shiva's attention is diverted from the cat, for the fox is still glowing with red light. His body is stretching, elongating, and his eyes are blinking open! As the glow fades, flamelike tufts have sprung from his ears, and his posture is different as he rests on his haunches (with just 1hp). The sassafrass stick has been sheathed in his bushy tail, looking a bit like a broom. The fur along his waist droops down, forming a robelike shape, a bit lower than the skirtlike shape of the females.
Wow! Fennekin has evolved into Braixen!
That fight was nearly as hard as the gym leader, but divided among four Pokemon instead of 3. Shiva gains 7XP, and has 14XP to divide among her involved Pokemon.
Raphael also gains 3XP.
The captain of the cruise ship comes over to Shiva. "What a battle! Nightshade's offense is hardly beatable by anyone! We're always surprised; she always turns out harder to beat than expected! I have a gift for your Fennekin, if I may...we found this in the ship's engine room!"
Shiva obtains Charcoal!
After relaxing on the ship (which has an infirmary btw), Shiva will regain a Will Point.
"Aspis, you weren't brought from full health to unconsciousness in an instant, so have a little patience. Â Give me a moment, and then you'll get what I promised you. Â You cover me in drool and slobber again, no matter the method, and you're going to have to wait even longer. Â Got it?"
After a brief staring contest with the snake, Nathan reaches into his bag and pulls out one of the bags of meat, depositing it on a plate he'd pulled out along with it...and then setting it on the floor FAR away from the table. Â He sighs again on the way back to the table. Â At least Orthros was rather respectful...
"Yes, I got your message. Â I was here the whole time, so nothing of particular note occurred. Â Just chilling with my pokemon for now."
Letting out a delighted *Hiiisss!*, she pats Nathan's head with the tip of her tail with a remarkable amount of restraint , before slithering over to the plate of meat scraps and tripe, and begans to caw down on her meal. It didn't take long for the giant snake to finish the small meal, but it was rather tasty regardless; it couldn't beat the flavor and sensation of devouring live prey, but it was nice treat to tide her over until the next time her master hunted with them! Once finished, Apsis gently picked up the plate and deposited in front on the young trainer, before curling around their seat and resting her head on his shoulder, nice and relaxed. Aww...she does like him! Even if she hold his orders in the same regard she treats the ground beneath her body, she's comfortable enough to do this with him!
Faintly surprised at Apsis passive treatment toward Nathan, he couldn't help the caring smile gracing his face. "Well, looks like Apsis has made another friend. How delightful! She'd been slightly bummed out ever since Sage left to tend to his own business, as his Giant Poliwhirl got along with her remarkably well. Hope you don't mind the attention, since she doesn't let her guard down for just anyone."
His next comment is fairly quiet. Â "...just so long as she stops covering me in slobber..."
Back to other topics, though...yeesh, Aspis's head was HEAVY...
"So, first question: How in Giratina's name did your contact list end up on my pokedex?"
