No clear lies for Kirlia to pick up this time (thank goodness).  Ventus was very, very obviously exhausted (he spent a Will point, after all).  Nathan's still got an annoyed look on his face though...and he's fairly quick to reasonably lash out at this current revelation.
"Ventus, Hypno are not 'prey' pokemon to hunt on a whim. Â And going after a psychic type with an Arbok is a terrible idea in the first place, but this...Ventus, what did I say about theÂ
'big picture' again?  Hypno aren't pokemon you run into every day around here.  Someone probably wants to catch uncommon and rare pokemon like that one, and
you'd rob them of the chance to even find them by eliminating their presence in an area like that.  You're lucky I can sort of tolerate you hunting the common ones as it is since I've studied the other major regions' histories extensively.  You've already seen first hand how most of Creshire will react to such a practice. Â
I'd suggest you use your head a little more. Â You're NOT in Unova, so you can't act like you are. Â
I've told you how much Creshire respects pokemon and practically everything relating to them, and I shouldn't have to tell you again."
He pauses for a moment, staring Ventus down to make sure he got his point across...and then he looks down and sighs...
"...I'm sorry...I shouldn't be almost yelling at you right now...I'm trying to keep myself in check...sticking to the logical conclusions...it's just so...hard to keep it separate from emotions when it's a topic I have a strong opinion on...and you've been out here for three hours as well...
I was starting to worry that the Scimitars had captured you or worse...Shiva insisted that you'd be fine, but if you'd encountered two or even three of them? Â They probably would have overwhelmed you...please, just...consider the bigger picture a little bit more, alright? Â
You could have done this later, when you weren't going to cause us unnecessary worry...let's just get back to the Center, meet up with Shiva and Valder, and start heading to Ginger Town, alright?"
(An expected reaction, and then a rather new one. Â And some coincidental topics that relate to what Ventus has just done...hopefully this gives him some food for thought...)
The researcher was rather annoyed (Both visably and not) at this very topic being brought up AGAIN, especially since he was physically and mentally taxed on top of actively rebalancing his mind from mutlitple ordels , but he kept mum as they reintered their 'Big Picture' idea and Cheshiran customs once more. That general feeling of irritation was soon replaced with his own brand of horror and remorse when Nathan revealed just how much of a frightful panic he almost caused by 'paying his respects' to the Pokémon Contruct, which in turn only intesified that tiny smigen of guilt within him over action (Which they then proceeded to stamp out AGAIN, before Kirlia can pick up on it). Ventus was silent for a moment of time, going over the detail and pulling the last bit of his rampant mental/emotion state back into placing, before they nodded to him, calm acceptance with a hint of resignation in his expression.
"...I understand Nathan. Initially I only desired for Apsis to have a challenging battle with the hypnotist, but since I promised her earlier that we would hunt together, I felt obligated to let her eat it, but that only ended up causing more trouble than it was worth in the long run. I honestly don't care what happens to the wild Pokémon I battle or much about them all in general, as callous as that sound to you, so long as they pose no threat to me or the others that I care deeply about. Still, I hate being wasteful in any capacity or form, so I'll endevour NOT to resort to feeding unwanted but Rare victims to my Arbok/killing them unless the posses a substaintail risk to my safety and health."Â
"In regards to my occasional lack cultural sensitivity, however, that is ultimately up to myself to endure the consequences of thereof. If my foreign beliefs steps on the toes of those with thin skin or a strong sense of tradition, then its up to me to handle the fallout of that situation, not you Nate. I always strive to be kind, caring, and compassionate towards others on a average daily basis, but sometimes I have to be brutal and unforgiving in order to accomplish a task, even my choice(s) offend others in some capacity, so I will accept and own up to all the negativity I inure and react as I see fit. I will try to be respectful to Cheshire belief regardless, but I will not sacrifice or radically change myself just to appease those that do not and/or will not understand my own culture."
Ven then let out a worn out *Sigh* , before rubbing the back of his head and looking morosely apologetic at the young trainer that came out to fetch him. "Sorry about causing you to fret over me and forcing you to make a treack into Fireweed Forest just to search and retrieve me. I should have texted you to confirm that I was fine or just headed back with Shiva initially like you said, and not have delayed our depature to Ginger Town. I'm actually quite eager to get their, as I received a text earlier (He read it sometime either before or after the Guarden Battle) that stated the Running is about to begin, and I greatly desire to participate in it myself, so let us make haste to the Pokémon Center and put Winesberry behind us for now! Oh, and I would have either have killed any Scimitar that tried to abuct me, or release all my Pokémon and kill myself before I let the capture me, so do not worry about that possibility. Onwards we go, my friend!"

Nathan sighs again.  "Ven, trust me, you DON'T want to be on the receiving end of Creshire's cultural dark side in the first place.  If you think I'm bad, multiply that by 100, and you'll have the reaction of pretty much most everyone else in the region.  I'm tame by comparison.  The last time Creshire had a major occurrence of disrespect for pokemon, it overthrew and restructured our governmental system entirely, and then that system spread to the rest of the world afterwards.  An incident involving you wouldn't be nearly that drastic, but you could expect to at least lose your trainer license very, very quickly.  I'm just...trying to help you out here, that's all."
At the mention of the Running, Nathan murmurs to himself..."Ugh...dang it...why is everyone so willing to risk life and limb in the middle of town? Â First Kory, and now Ventus...bah...I'm going to have to stick around to make sure they get through it okay, aren't I? Â Great..."
That comment about the Scimitars startles him out of that train of thought, though. Â "Whoa whoa whoa, hold up. Â Stop. Â No. Â Don't even
joke about that. Â Whether its you or the Scimitars. Â Just...
DON'T. Okay?"
"If something drastic enough occurs that I risk losing my Trainer's License over it, I either thought it would be worth it in the first place and forearmed myself for that possibility, or my action(s) caused such a chaotic mess that my License being revoke is the least worst option for punishment available. I'm no going to seek out ways to offend Cheshire's people or deliberately break their norms and morays in front of them unless I have no choice, thought, so worry not about those remote possibilities Nate. Besides, I know how to 'disappear' when my personal situation gets dicey and thoroughly clean up and/or destroy evidence of any wrong doing on my part, so its likely won't be around to suffer the wrath of my more 'serious' action," Ventus calmly said, a slight note of positivity in his voice as he tried to cheer his friend up and distract him from the especially touchy subject, and it (the note) only increased when they heard their annoyed realization of his own future activities.
When Nathan aburtly stop his mutterings and lectured him about his plan regarding the Scimitars, the researcher simply smiled and told him this: "I'm not joking, Nathan. If it my life or freedom on the line, or more importantly my family and friend's, I'm willing to anything to safeguard them from any that would scheme to take them away. Even if it means eradicating someone else's life....or my own if need be. Let's depart to the Center, Nathan, and depart from Winesberry ASAP. I've already wasted enough of the group's time with this pursuit of my, so let's make double speed now."
Shiva just stayed there in the Center as Nathan left to search for the researcher. If he wanted to go, then he is free to do so, but he wouldn't make it to get her join him searching if he'd asked. Luckily he didn't.
What remained, was her being alone with her mind again. Hah... How often will this happen again? Not that she minded, she just shruged any surpressed feelings concerning this away. Nathan said he's sorry for his actions, but Shiva was actually pretty sure that he only said this because Kirlia made him to, now to think about it. While that was fine, it felt a little like the apology was half-hearted when it actually was not at all... However, they managed to speak relatively normal with one another. Little does Nathan know how horribly resentful Fairies can be... Shiva was maybe half as resentful in sensitive spots. She'll speak and interact normally with him, but her he crack in trust will only mend itself over a little time.
After getting another cup of coffee from the Center's Cafeteria - and restocking on food supplies for the traveling ahead - she placed herself at the same table in Lobby she resided with Nathan before and summoned Azuriil by her side, before placing her and her top hat onto the table to have the blue mouse around eye level wit her Master. It's been a while, and what better could be done than trying to get Azurill to play with her while they were waiting for either Nathan or Ven (or both) return?~ Subliminally Shiva alos hoped to prevent thinking about Braixen too much. She was confident that her fox will return, never would he just leave her! Just when she'll be able to welcome him again in her arms... She used the same slightly ragged Minccino's Tail with the faded Soothe Bell attatched to its base with a purple ribbon that she already used to persuade her Electric Rodents to join her. It wasn't much more than carefully(!) stroking it over Azurill's right cheek, trying to get her to snatch after the item. Probably by either Tail Whip or some non-damaging bubbles from Bubble Beam due to the lack of arms until evolution. (, does Azurill feel confident enough to play with her Master? ^^ If not, playing session will be a cuddling session instead.)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
At the sliding door of the Pokemon Center opening and two familiar figurines stepped in, nothing held her on the table anymore! Telling Azurill that she'll be back in a little - which was actually relucant to say, since from the table Azurill too could see the entrance of the Center and her Master - she was right there, and the first thing she did was was cuddling up to Ventus' side similar like she did in the morning. Doesn't matter whether Nathan or anyone else would see, doesn't matter where he was and what he did, she was just overly delighted to have him back in one piece! Tweed was rather enjoyable to the touch as well.
Before he could get too uncomfortable (or not) or flustered though, she let go of him only to look at him from the side. With a constant coy smile on her expression. "How wonderful that you're back...after quite a while. Thank you for retriving him, Nathan. Though..." Her delighted expression faded a little, " ...you're not looking that good, Ven. Injuries? Or just exhaustion? You'd need anything before we finally departure to Ginger Town? Or feeling strong enough to make it on your own?" Her voice wasn't worried, and there was no worry in her emotions that Ventus might pick up. Just silent care, mixed up with a warm feeling. Oh, how drastically different it would be if she'd hear about JUST WHAT he was doing meanwhile... Luckily, she never will. It's better this way.
Before she continued and/or Ven was able to answer at all, she leaned carefully into the side of his right shoulder, making the next words only audible for him. "...You wouldn't have to to lie to me about 'wanting to pay your own respect to the place'. Wouldn't tell anyway. However, Braixen was rather upset and decided to go back to the spot, he seemingly was uncomfortable with the thought of you staying there and hunting the close area wth Apsis." ... ... ... "Anyway, it's good to have you back in one piece at last... I began to feel lonely when you were not around and I didn't know when you'll return." That feeling was new. It's actually a good sign. IF Ventus knows how to seemingly interpret it.
Kirlia picks up on those emotions pretty easily. Â He frowns a little. Â He doesn't inform Nathan, but...
Nathan's shoulders do droop a little regardless...
They're both pretty quick to slip away from that and sit down at a different table, both of them looking rather glum still...

Almost as soon as he stepped into the Pokémon, Shiva was pressed up against his side like a Persain looking for affection, and the researcher couldn't help but a tad bit guilty once more about destroying Braixen's former home, but he soon dispelled that linging sentiment once more. 'It was for the best that horrendous place was wiped from the face of the earth, despite that Stranger's objections and my dear friend's and fox's sentiments regarding the place. One less place of magic in the world in always a boon, no matter what how smal or impactful its destruction may be in the grand order of all things on earth. Shiva will hate me if she ever finds out about it, that I know , so I can only hope see never finds out about it, and deflect all suspicion regarding that Pokémon Construct. Reshirim be with me on this,' Ventus thought, his cheerful yet tired expression completely covering up any and all his inner conflict regarding his most recent 'activities'. It wouldn't do for either her or Nathan to start becoming curious and wary over his somewhat discombobulated emotions right now, now would it?
Shiva's first question about his apparent weariness earned her a slight laugh and a gentle squeeze to return the hug she was giving him, shaking his head gently at her. "Thank you, Shiva. I happened to run across a Hypno and tried to hunt it for food and sport with Apsis, but it turned out that I had bitten of more than both of us could chew, as it had a group of Pokémon either backing it up or under its control. I manage to walk away the victor of that battle somehow, but it was a costly experience that exhausted the both of us and resulted in my precious queen sustaining quite the number of injuries. Running her and the rest of my Pokémon through the Center's healing machines should treat the worst of her injuries, though, and I'm not found wanting of any supplies right now, so I'm ready to depart from Winesberry once my Pokémon are healed my friend," he said to her, before they leaned in closer and whispered back to them the following : "Sorry for lying to you, but I just wanted to spend more time my Arbok then I currently have been lately, so I hope you can forgive me for this. I'm glad to return to your side once more, since leaving you alone make me uncomfortable as well, since I don't know if something bad happens to you and/or I am unable to protect you..."
At hearing that he encountered a Hypno in the forest, awe flooded her. First a Fennekin, and now this? She couldn't help but to wonder whatelse may live there in Fireweed Forest. "You indeed met a Hypno, famous for it's nasty habit to put people to sleep with relative ease? Neat... However, please don't feed such a rare Pokemon to your Arbok... While it'd be quite a haul, someonelse might want appreciate the chance to see and possibly catch it. Not me, I have enough Psychic Type for now, but it'd be quite a waste to kill it just for hunger when there are likely enough other less rarer Pokemon around. Okay?" Somewhat, she felt that Nathan would rant enough on him about that if he haven't already, so there was no need to repeat it or get angry over it. How right she was.
At the decleration that he's down to leave town as well, anticipation emerged in her for bare moments for obvious reasons. "That's good to hear, I'm down to leave Wineberry as well once you got them healed up. Will wait for you with Nathan over there then." Ven was so close on his own will, not nervous at all... Before it got awkward, she eventually let go of Ven for both their sake. "Your apology is accepted. So is your protectiveness, but I feel like I shouldn't have dragged you to the elusive spot. I must have been so concentrated on it that I didn't thought that you might dislike the spot or not feel comfortable there like I did... Next time I should properly warn you, should I?"
Regardless of his reaction and words, she will now let him have his Pokemon healed up as desired, while she'll pick up Azurill from the table and come over to Nathan. Rather carefully, but not directly shying away. In fact, she gave him a very obervantly smile. "Again, thank you that you found him eventually. So... You still haven't told me what that it is that Professor Mallorn missed to tell us and told your mother instead, but I feel you can do that along the way then. If you're doing okay, we can FINALLY leave Wineberry, just as you desire. Braixen is...still in the forest, but I'm confident he'll meet up with me/us on the way."
(, Valder does not have a cell phone)
Valder looked at Ventus. 'he's nervous... or, he's trying to pull of something. Same feeling' Valder thought quietly as he tried to understand all the social patterns flying around him.
But, seeing that his boss was back, Valder decided to get his attention back to his one true friend, Theo. "Theo, the boss is back, we should go find ourselves a battle. I want you to show me more of your power and your fantastic Claw.
Â
(I'll take a battle as my slot. If Ventus or someone else wants to stop Valder the time is now.)
