Nurse Joy: "I love it when a young trainer desires to become a breeder! Seems all some people want to do is battle, battle battle. You can take the test on that computer there, in the little privacy booth. Or I have paper copies available."
Question 1: True or False. Parental happiness plays a role in how quickly an Egg might form. True!
Question 2: Name one Pokemon whose presence makes eggs hatch faster. Camerupt!
Question 3: Describe the nutritional content of a Ranc berry (found only in Creshire).....
....Question 25: What role does Pokemon grooming play in Pokemon Breeding? Well-groomed Pokemon are more likely to fall in love, at least in some species!
Nurse Joy signs her approval of the test, and prints out a laminated Breeder's License! There's also a sticker for your Trainer Card. She also gives you a little disc - "This is an upgrade to Mallorn's Pokedex. It can read a little extra data on Pokemon Eggs, mostly concerning the health of the Pokemon inside."
Dual Chop works just like Fury Swipes, except you can use it only two times. This is a great choice for a Pokemon that gets to move three times for every two moves of yours - you'll basically get a free attack in between Breloom's 1st and 2nd actions.
Assuming Axew listens.
Waterfall Mystic Round 7
Koa is male, right? That means he gets +1 Strength from Rivalry!
Breloom lowers his cap and strikes at Axew, hoping to make him waste a turn regaining his feet.
Headbutt
(1)(1)(5)(1)(3) Miss!
Breloom goes past. Heart shouts for Axew to attack with Dual Chop.
Disobedience: 3. (4)(1)(6) Two successes.
Loyalty: 1. (3) No successes.
Axew just wants to show off to impress Monferno! Axew is way stronger than this Breloom, watch!
Axew picks up a boulder and shows it off. Then he tosses it at Breloom, his current rival.
Strike
5 dice, -2 actions = 3 dice
(5)(5)(2) The boulder hits!
4* Str +1 power -2 vit = 3 dice
(4)(5)(5) Breloom takes 3 dmg 1/6hp. What a hilarious way to win a fight.
"Well, that was unorthodox. Be warned, trainer, if your disobedient Axew hurts my Pokemon, I will toss it over this waterfall before you can say 'Ohmmmmmmm....'"
Ready for next Pokemon!

"Sorry about that! Koa! I told you to use Dual Chop! We must work together!" Heart sight then say. "Next time listen to my instructions." At least Koa defeat one of last Pokemon from that monk and for now without any scratch. Perhaps they can win this fight. "Ready when you are sir!"
Eventually, after a brisk series of trades, some light for Shiva, and meeting with Dr. Mallorn to hand off the requested Tauros, Ventus finally made his way back to the Pokémon Center. Flipping open his phone to check the time, he almost swore when it turned out 45 or so minutes had passed, but he managed to restrain himself and settled with frowning. "Dear Reshirim, I hope going over the time limit I set hasn't upset Shiva once more, as that is the last things I want to do currently. Well, I suppose the only way to find out is to reunite with her and see for myself...." he quietly said to himself as he stood outside the Center's doors, before he entered.
To his relief and surprise, his blessed friend was not in fact fuming silently over at one of the lobby tables, but was talking to the resident Nurse Joy and receiving some items from her. Deciding not to intrude on such important business for the time being, Ventus went over to the PC to both teach Michael Façade and withdrew the rest of his team he had stored earlier, before walking over to one of the tables and awaiting Shiva. When she was done, he waved her over and motioned for her to sit beside him, before politely saying to her: "Sorry for running a bit late, but my last trade took longer than I expected. I see you found a way to keep yourself happily occupied, though, judging by what I'm detecting and from what I saw of your conversation with the Nurse. Care to share the details with this poor sociologist, Shiva?"
The Mystic sends out Poliwrath.
"Oh, no, on-screen is all fine!~ It's omnipresent to take on exams and fill out important papers via touchscreen where I come from." Also, she was overjoyed to be welcomed with open arms! "I...too battle, actually... But it's not directly my field."
Studying at the Daycare surely paid out, because it took her merely twenty minutes to sweep through the questions before sending the answers back into the width of the PC and await her result. ...which turned out flawless if overlooking that error on a nasty question concerning the Breeding of a specific type of Hidden Power, something her father hasn't educated her that much yet because 'You'll get to know that too, my dearest, but finish your journey through Chreshire first. Oh, and make sure to collect a wide range of own Pokemon for your own pool!~'
...Bet he would be proud of his only daughter if he'd see her now, feeling like the whole field opened up to her and the path lies ahead, awaiting to be explored.
Oh, and GLADLY accepting the disk containing what Nurse Joy describes as an egg checker! Only problem was that she missed an own Pokedex, and Professor Mallorn likely already left. Eh, nevermind...for now.Â
To Nurse Joy: "That settles my further career, huh? Uhm, but, before that, what were the exact boni about the lisence again? I know it grants me to carry eggs without them taking a slot in the party, but is there actually a limit?" Because Shiva kinda enjoyed the thought of carrying nine Eevee-eggs at once, even if she felt like this goes beyond what is possible. "I'm also not native to Chresire, and will likely return to where I come from if I'll be neither accepted at the Daycare here as trainee or at Telperion University as student, so what about this lisence's validy in, say Unova? You know anything concerning that, Joy...?"

The Mystic sends out Poliwrath.
"Poliwrath huh. Well this seems be cool. Koa! Use Dual Chop!"
(STAB + Rivaly. Also dont forget if Koa get hurt, he can use the Citrus Berry he is holding)

"Hehe...of course. Â A test of some kind, right? To judge if we're really able to help? Â Alright then...Kirlia and I accept your challenge, Absol. Â But one question before we begin: will it be a 1v1 between you and Kirlia with no pokeballs until the battle is over, or you vs my entire team while I try to catch you to end the battle?"
Regardless of Absol's preference, Kirlia's first! Let's see some initiative!

"I couldn't tell you if it's valid in Unova. There is an International Breeders Org, so I imagine they might accept this license. Or perhaps they may make you take the abbreviated version or something. There's no legal limit on how many Eggs you can carry now, but the Eggs must all be in your direct care. This usually means no more than 6 Eggs. That way each Egg can have a Pokemon buddy, too!"
I figured you'd want to save your berries for a battle with money at stake, but it seems like this battle has become rather personal!
Waterfall Mystic Round 8
Disobedience: (5)(5)(6)
Loyalty: (6)
Axew goes into a rage! All these rivals he must face!! He makes a really reckless series of Scratches, trying to gouge at the eyes of Poliwrath!
Scratch
5 dice, -3 actions (which will waste one action).
(6)(3)
4* Str + 2 power -2 vit = 4 dice
(3)(6)(3)(2) Poliwrath takes 1 dmg. 6/7hp.
"I warned you, trainer. Poliwrath."
Poliwrath picks up Axew by the tusks and just tosses him over the waterfall!
Wheee!
(4)(1)(5)(2)
(6)(2)(6) Axew takes 2 dmg.
Heart immediately sends out Clauncher to get revenge on this man who dares hurt his Pokemon!
The Mystic doubles over laughing, breaking his stoic persona. "Hahahaha! You should have seen the look on your face! There is a deep pool at the bottom of the waterfall. Poliwrath and I practice every day throwing pebbles into that pool. That was Poliwrath's Circle Throw! Your Axew will be back up here soon (next round). For now, let's see how you handle Clawncher!"
