Ventus gave her but a kind smile to her response, and extended his hand to meet her own, gripping it with such delicate, gentle affection that is seemed to be like only a pleasant dream connected them. "We are all allowed to forget ourselves, Shiva. So long as we endeavor not to lose sight of our goal in the mindst of battle, a little bit of cold temper here or their will do nobody any true harm. Now..." he said, staring in her eyes, before turning his gaze towards his other dear friend. A truly happy grin was displayed to them, as he converyed his jollity to them on this day. No anger. No fear. No sorrow. Just a feeling of happiness that he wished to share with everyone, now and after the battle.
"Let's have a good fight, everyone!"
Ventus Passonate Battle Theme:
Emiya : Crow's Claw
Heart almost fall from the ground he was when Absol apear from nowear. He try to calm himself and reconize that Absol is the Absol who belong to Nathan. "Man, dont need to scare people like that!" Heart then try to remember his name. "Its....Calam isnt? I remember Nathan calling you that when he capture you. Thanks Arceus its not too much hight here, because it could be a huge CALAMity fall from here. And that would be a ABSOLute trouble to handle." Even with this atmosfere, Heart couldnt resist to make bad puns. Its kinda a defence system to handle this situation. "They say the Absols have the power to know the calamities who going to happen. If you are here, and not beside your trainer, that means this awful feeling is real. Something will happen. And its not going to be a good thing."
Heart look again and heard the shout comming from Shiva, and feel again that tension in the air. He hug leg worried. "I just hope this ends soon....this weather is so much....cold." Then he observe to everything.
(Iroh, can I roll a perception to see if I can see something strange?)
Calam chuckles at Heart's first remark.  Never gets old, startling unexpecting victims.  He outright ignores the puns, though.  He's heard that second one way too many times, and both of them are way too painfully easy to make.
He shakes his head at the coming disaster remark.  This wasn't a crisis.  Not yet, anyways.  Things were tense, but Calam doesn't currently have a feeling this will go badly.

2 Insight + 1 Survival +0 Empathy/Alert
*rolls dice*
You don't notice anything strange, unless someone wants to PM me anything their character is hiding that might be revealed.
However, you can tell that these trainers have traveled farrrr together, and their relationships are complex.
Did you decide to use Spread Moves or no? Taunt?
4v4, no fainting, no items, no Lucky Chant.
Initiatives:
Kirlia (5) +6 = 11
Porygon Z (3) +6 = 9, higher dex
Raphael (4) +5 = 9
Grid (2) +6 = 8
Starmie (1) +6 = 7
Michael (4) +5 -2 paralyze = 7

(Spread moves are limited usage (so I probably will only use them once or twice at most, if at all.), Calam won't be participating, so there's no taunt users at all. Â Not that Shiva and Ventus know that right now.)
What color do you guys want to be?

Kirlia's Report for this round: Worry, fear, security, camaraderie, a very small amount of surprise, seriousness, calm, a pinch of happiness
You've put Shiva on edge. Â She's barely able to hold herself back.
'I know.'
Ventus is on edge too. Â He's just not showing it.
'I know. Â Stop telling me the obvious.'
And yet you're missing the obvious. Â They're worried. Â About you. Â They're working together despite whatever difficulties they have with each other.
'And your point is?'
How do you plan to overcome their teamwork, their bond that they've forged through their interactions, the bond they've actively worked to forge?  They're closer to each other than they are with you.
'I have a plan. Â This is tough, but it's not unmanageable.'
And that plan is? Â You can't unleash everything.
'I think there's a little wiggle room here considering how brutally powerful that Facade was.'
One Facade.
'And that Breloom isn't going down any time soon if I don't do something. You saw how quickly he healed off most of the damage done to him.'
You could lose this, you know.
'I don't intend to.'
But you could. What will you do if you do?
'It's too early in the battle to think about that now.'
If not now though, when?
'Just...be quiet. You're not helping me.'
Are you so sure about that?
'I said be quiet.'
Nathan's got a hand on his forehead. He's still apathetic, but his head's starting to hurt a little now. This just doesn't make any sense to him. Â
How could those two be so close in such a short time? Why were they still hanging around him? Â
He hadn't found the answers he needed yet.
He shakes his head. He needs to refocus. There's a battle going on. Grid had let out some of that static charge he'd accumulated last battle, Starmie had done a great job standing up to what would otherwise be a disadvantageous situation for it. He could still gain the upper hand. And he was determined to.
(Survival leveled from 2 to 3 for 16 exp! Nathan wasn't kidding when he told Shiva he was feeling a little more connected to the natural 'magics')
Unbeknowest to Nathan (Perhaps), Ventus was just as intently scrutinizing over their mental state as well, using almost his complete and undivided attention on making sure that the boy's self induced apathy and the bizaare dual emotional conflict were not undermining his mental intergrety. Michael was more or less just following the will of his master at the moment, but given the researcher empathy and the strong familial bonds he's forged with his Pokémon, the kick boxing shroom more or less knows exactly what to do! That, and they were extremely competent at fighting against lopsided odds, whether with a partner or alone; the fact that he was able to solo a Garaydos for a few Rounds with only Absorb show just how tenacious he can be in any fight!
'Hmm...more muted frustrations between the two sides of feeling, one trying to be....'reasonable', while the other has a feeling of trepidation and a slightest hint of....desperation? And beneath it all, a churning vortex of stress, distress, and a deep loaming pit of doubt.... What in Reshirim's is going on within him? My recent transgression towards him is certainly the spark that put him in such dour straights, and the party's history together can be charitably described as 'hectic at times', but it can't just be those things at this point, not with how deeply disturbed he feels to my senses. Oh dear, now he's in actual pain from his inner turmoil, judging from his facial and body language, and that throbbing sensation in his head is only bound to get worse as this battle drags on. This is supposed to be a good, friendly fight, but if its literally inflicting suffering onto him instead...' the researcher thought to himself, smile still present of his face and that air of serene calm clinging to him like syrane wrap. He has to stay in control, he must be strong, and be the pillar of support everyone needs, whether they know it or not...
He gives Shiva's hand a gentle squeeze, gracing her with kind, caring smile to ease any feelings of discontent she might be having right now, before he re-focuses his attention on the fight unfolding in front of him, both within and without.
"Taking advantage of no Item usage to inflict Paralysis on both our Pokémon, I see! I thought inflicting status and deleterious effects was my domain, but I suppose I don't mind ceading it over to you for just this fight. Let remember not to get carried away in the fevor of battle, though, as this battle is already too shockingly serious as it is now! This is a Heart Swap battle, not a life or death Struggle my friend!" he said, trying to point out and simultaneously lighten the already buzzing tension that lay between them and Nate. Maybe a couple of terrible puns would help Freeze over his Confusion...

Kirlia knows for sure. He only informs Nathan of Ventus's worry, though...for now.
"Grid's not like my other pokemon, if you've not noticed, and he had to let off some static charge anyways. Plus, I'd say the Paralysis was more than called for considering just how much damage that Facade could have dealt. Or how much damage Starmie could have taken from Helping Hand boosted Absorbs. I wasn't actively trying to remove two pokemon from the fight in one round, just so you know. Looks like I might have to up the ante just a tad."
Nathan doesn't react to the puns since he's currently apathetic.
Ventus shrugs in a relaxed manner, seemly unbothered by how Nate completely missed the jesting tone in his earlier comment, his smile still as bright and peppy as ever. "Oh, I'm not judging you for using Thunder Wave, as its only fair for Grid and Starmie to push every advantage they have against my champion fighter. He's quite formidable even when he's holding back the brunt of his blows, and his passive regeneration makes him almost as bulky as his sister Apsis as a fight persists onward, so focusing him down and cutting off his support is only the logical thing to do, honestly. If you need to fortify you offense, then by all means do so, and I'll do my best to counter that show of force. After all, we can't just let you win, as that wouldn't really accomplish much of anything for all us in the short and long term; a fight is hardly fun if their is no challenge too it, my friend."
