"Well, only in the most impersonal of sense, really. You see, when I took my Pokémon Handling classes in college, we had several lectures going over utility moves, and HMs came up fairly often. Fly was touted only second best to Surf in terms of transportation, and had distinct advantage as a impromptu form of Protect. The fact that it could be breeded was also another boon contributed to it, but I learned that learning the move in such a way weakens it from generation to generation. Pokémon with Thunder could still strike Flyers down, but those individuals who have that move are few, and fewer are those that know its sniping feature," Ventus chatted to him, getting quite comfortable from the top of the roof.
He did promise to answer his inquries as best he could, and talking about the HM Fly was a good way as any to fufill that promise. "Besides that, I don't know too much about the HM. I don't know anyone who had access to the move personally, but I wish I did. Soaring through the open skies...what a fine dream, isn't it?" he said, sighy wistfully at the thought. He did wish that he had access to it, so that Raphael could reach its fullest potential as a flyer.

Nathan chimes in at this point, eager to talk about something he's familiar with.
"Fly, huh. Heh, I read about that one once. Everyone seems to forget three other moves capable of striking a soaring pokemon, even. Twister, Hurricane, and Sky Uppercut. Gravity will ground 'em too. I've read about several instances of clever trainers using that to their advantage."
"Anyways, I think Ralts and I might ride Swiftfire here. She needs some exercise, and we're the only ones I know she won't burn. I can always just yell if we need help, right?"
Swiftfire snuffs, but she doesn't really object to the proposed plan.
Mechanics:
Let's go with Blacksmith Fearowfeather. I've got some stuff I've been thinking about testing mechanically before we rock over into Ginger to meet Zamboni.

Riding in the back of an RV beats walking, honestly. It's been a rough trip on foot, all things considered.
With the assurance of a safe space to retreat to, maybe it's time to kick this training regime up a notch.
As the RV rumbles to a halt, Vincent steps off, making a bee line for a trainer.
Mechanics:
Going hunting for that valuable item first, then going over to check out that Shroomish. Might as well expand my party, and round out the weakness in my team.

"Ah...the breeze feels rather nice up here," Ventus said, serenely sitting on top of the van. During the ride, he was getting to know the Miltanks quite well, taking some note her interactions with him while occanisonally petting her. When the drivers called for a rest stop, Ventus untangled himself from the cow and hoped down from the car. Stretching his legs a bit, he looks around his surroundings, and notices something peculiar in the distance. He also spots what looks like a Shroomish sitting rather docilely among by some leaf litter.
"Hmm, well, I do need a Pokémon capable of dealing with Ground and Water types, and I heard its evolution is quite versitle. Its decided then; time to make a new friend!" With that being said, he sets out to investigate the percular item he spoted (Valuble one), and to try and capture a brand new friend!
Nathan and Ralts ride alongside the van on Swiftfire. As the RV owners had said, she was easily able to keep up with them. Probably because it was completely full. And had a rather large Miltank on top of it. Nathan's the first to spot what's happening up ahead as a result. In fact, he spotted something rather interesting...but he didn't get a good enough look at it from so far away. (Nathan's going to go check out the hold item). He also spotted a trainer, so he figured some training for Swiftfire wouldn't hurt either. (He'll go battle Kierkegaard after getting the item) The sounds of the wild pokemon in the area are making him just a tiny bit nervous, but the security of full recoveries after every stop helps ease that nervousness. He's still making sure that Staryu's pokeball isn't facing outwards though.
A rest stop... Acccepted. Thanks. A lot...
Shiva couldn't overhear the others talking about Fly... So, HMs seemed to be very rare in Creshire? How very interesting... Maybe she'll get a chance to ask the driver more about this later.
Upon looking around the area a little - and a glimpse to the sky, but there were no Hoppip this time - she spotted what seemed to be a berry bush growing in a nearby clearing... From the distance, she couldn't figure out which berries it held, neither if it held any. Time to investigate that! Maybe she'll be lucky this time.

Mechanics:
Going for a particular negatively charged Electric mouse first, get the berries, and move on to repeat that with the positively charged Electric mouse. Or have them both dimulaneously in a Double Battle.Iron, feel free to bring up Round 1 right away! If none suddenly decides to snatch this and starts with XP bidding with me. Don't do that.
Larry heard about the fly hm "eh not so common but if you know the right people a.k.a a professor or a skilled trainer then you could get one, but my attempts at cloning hm and tm and now there's a tm in my bag that's corrupt it was the tm for work up but now I'm not sure what it is" Larry replied.
Larry then saw his team was missing something "let's see what's going on here we got a water type and two poison types" "well I'm going to fight the ice guy for you Oshawott" Larry said to his oshawott as he smiled he walked up to the trainer "hey iceclimber I challenge you to a battle!" Larry said to the trainer
READY FOR BATTLE AGAINST ICECLIMBER
(Larry, you can also choose another encounter to do, since everything is happening in double time right now.)

(Whoops, I completely forgot about that as well! If that'the case though -
please let me have the Plusle-Encounter as well! How would I dare ripping those two rodents apart...)
