Heart finds a native Mamo, Mannawhehi, who does not speak Common, but when your eyes meet, you immediately understand that there is to be a battle!!
You both place your money on the ground. His money will be in the form of items that you can freely exchange for money.

"You don't have to decide right away. Come by my lab, such as it is, any time before you head back to, well, civilization. And tell your friends, if they have any spare Pokemon."
Well, she somewhat expected and therefor was able to prepare herself for a positive reaction from Ven, but the reaction she eventually received was pretty hard to top. Actually, it was about to reach the same level of joy, content and happiness that she went through as Azurill was shining with that precious PRECIOUS blue light... Hehe... If she wasn't already blushing from that intense/sweet/overjoyed/*more adjectives* smile of him, she certainly and obviously was to an intense degree as he lifted her up and congratulated her, practically bereaving her of any ability to say a word or move as she simply returned his gaze and took all his praise. It didn't matter though, as she was enjoying sharing such a moment with him if she was and remained honest with herself, as she could sense these joyful-anxious feelings coming up again... Only a matter of time, indeed.
Therefor, she was unable to give him a proper reply on his plans to re-celebrate and simply gave him an appreciating and thankful look to this idea of his while her mind and emotions practically screamed 'Splendid idea! Cake!! Peace!!! What more could you want, my dear?! ' at full volume, causing Shiva left to smile faintly and look forward to this... Things are dire, but who would deny them a moment of not-worrying-and-desperately-search-for-a-solution? Such moments reenergize, and energy to move on was more valuable than gold at the moment...
After having now HIM gratulated on his success of Potion-Brewing (she couldn't help but to chuckle to herself at the thought of Ven brewing stuff with a kettle and an open fire, carefully adding ingredient after ingredient before an Eureka!-moment occures), she simply listened as to what he himself experienced yesterday's night, and the more the told her, the more her smile and warmth and joy got lost into the haze that pestered the swamp outside of village, making room for a feeling of being...exhausted. Sad, maybe worried. Yes, actually kinda worried. A very very bit of impatience as well, as Nathan clearly told her he's doing fine, when he seemingy was not and again decided to shoulder everything on his own without even having to do so... It took a while until she replied to Ventus in a lower, more serious tone. "...Yes, we can and should pay him a visit once we conducted our business here and found a trader for our Pokemon. We all need to discuss what to do next now that we arrived at the village anyway. *sigh, she didn't even cared to hold it back* Is it just me, or has he not really learned from the last time a similar thing occured? My, my..."

Whoops, from all that asking questions and pondering about the Southern Wind she must have accidently forgotten that Professor/Reverend Cottonwood was offering them trades of known and popular Starter Pokemon for their Carnivine and Pineco.
 Good thing Ventus brought her back to earth by asking her a question, which she only realized after having stared at him for a few moments in suprise. "Huh, excuse me? Ehm , which one...caught my interest... .... ...I'd actually enjoy to have one of your bred Chikorita. You coincidently have a spare female exemplar on hand? I enjoy how this Pokemon can calm others by the sweet scent and probably taste of its leaf...Females are known to do better on this, yet unintentially, presumably due to natural pheromones they emit during the warm seasons. A Bayleef' shed spicy leaves are incredibly valuable for brewing, but I sadly am unsure what an be brewed how with them, as I only found half-truths and rumors on this. A Meganium is such a beautiful Pokemon, Ven, isn't? Calm, yet proud and being able to both restore deceased plants and health... It'll certainly be helpful if I start growing my own arrangement of herbs, flowers and berries."

"Well then, lets begin! Go Phantump!" Then Heart bring his little ghost pokemon, always ready to fight!

The day has only started and yet Shiva felt a tab bit closer to what seemed to progress the group in saving the far away Stair City from those blasted vines. Given that she was on the right path, that is! In fact, somewhere deep she was still unsure about whether it was, but the will to follow this path and at least give it a try where a tiny little bit stronger than any ever-present doubts within her. To her very own suprise, she didn't feel bad or worried about that plan - situation was dire (how dire, she only knew from the latest vision), yes, didn't this only mean one should try harder? Was there any other choice available within time apart from journeying to the ends of the earth?
"Hmm... That's what I already suspected. It sounds like this Incarnate is an overall generous and friendly 'creature' contrary to her orderer, able to fly us anywhere yet only northward and without return anymore. Earlier, she seemingly did. I feel that something might have...enraged or infected her enough to cause her loose faith and reason such a change." ... "Oh, and a Cottonwood Tree sounds funny, I like that! Do any of these grow nearby the village?" ( = can they be encountered?)
No more questions after this.
"Yes, they grow fairly commonly in the swamps. They are easy to pick out, because they are the only tree to grow over 40' tall. They shed their cotton in Summer, when the Nincada evolve."
"If you are interested in summoning the Southern Wind, you will have to spend time preparing yourself. She only comes to one who can clear their mind and feel the energy of the earth. Grass Pokemon can be helpful in this. Musical Pokemon are good too. I've heard of some using Psychic types to help calm them, too. Allow the music of the Southern Wind to enter you. Learn the music until you have it down so well that you cannot make a mistake. Well, I don't mean a wrong note, I mean a wrong feeling. The music will carry you as much as the Southern Wind does." He smiles.
"Ah, I saw her once, the Southern Wind. A beautiful streamlined elder spirit, she was to me, Flying on the wings of wind...high above the haze...it was the finest moment of my life when we completed that ritual."
The finest moment of life for him... Well, that sounded incredibly pleasant and calming, it seems the Southern Wind Incarnate is a skittish one, yet generous and friendly if summoned with the true feeling and heart. Shiva couldn't help but to coyly return that smile for a moment, before looking away and pondering about what he said.
Well graze she already had, an interest and intention as well, her already-present closeness to nature can be strenghtened and Grass and Psychi Pokemon she owns, and a Musical Pokemon - Braixen felt suited for this in her view, given his howling and lucky chanting. The latter and everthing combined should do it, she'd just need to practice now... Probably a lot until it all feels natural.
"I'll...look into all what you told and adviced me here. Maybe search for a cottonwood tree to make this my point of practice. So, many thanks for your insight on the matter..."
Out pops a Mamoswine, towering over the little ghost Pokemon! The trainer laughs and laughs. It's on!
Mamoswine: (3) + 2 Dex + 3 Survival = 8
Phantump: (3)
"Well, you're quite welcome! And indeed, the Chikorita I have is female."

"*Sigh* My patience and tolerance for his inclusivity and stubbornish is even thinner than yours Shiva, believe it for not, but let's remember that, despite how mature he acts, he's still just an socially awkard adolescent boy at heart. One with almost
unimaginable amounts of pressure and stress to solve this prophecy before those Vines engulf Stair City in their entirety, and has demostratively poor control over his emotions without Kirlia assisting him. *Sighs even harder* Like it or not, this is something we just have accept about him in the end if we are to be able to provide the support he'll need. But that is for another time; let's worry about trading our Pokémon away for now."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hearing Shiva's suggestion and fascination with the Chikorita's line's natural medicinal qualities/capabilities , he suddenly and inexplictly recalled the fact that he didn't give her
anything from his Running spoils waaaay back in Ginger Town, and felt a little ashamed of himself for not doing anything about that. Then, he recalled his recent promise to re-celebrate Maril's evolution with her, and connected it to his prior recent recollections/revelations, and in had a
brilliant flash of inspiration.
"In that case, Reverand,
would you accept my Carnivine in exchange for your Chikorita.....and give it to this charming young lady here? I owe quite a lot to her, and her trust companion Maril just evolved the prior night, so what better way to show my appreciate for both events than gifting her with a Pokémon that has caught her interest" Ventus said with a affable smile, motioning towards his friend and holding out the poisonous flytrap's Pokeball out in front of the man. Well, he sure hopes she enjoys this surprise of his!
