The hiker replies: "No, I didn't see anything like that. Just lots of weird grass types - Exeggcute and so forth. Being around all that psychic energy kinda felt weird, especially in the mist."
Psychic energy? Â Hmmm...."Ralts, are you picking up anything from farther down the road? Â That'd have to be a lot of psychic power to engulf an entire section of a route..."
Ralts picks up just a hint of fear. Probably not enough to be the source of the mysterious section of road.
The Pokedex says that Exeggcute psychic energy is a bit random and undirected, like a Slowpoke or Psyduck. It gets more organized in Exeggcutor.
After thanking the hiker for his time, Nathan returns to the RV. So it's not linked to the Deyo Flowers, but there seems to be a problem with Exeggcute and maybe even Exeggutor in that area...a little bit of fear is in that direction though? What was going on there?
"We'll probably just have to go around. Unless we want to try clearing that section of road. My best guess right now is that there's a lot of Exeggcute and maybe an Exeggutor or two in that area. Hiker said he felt some strong psychic energy and saw some exeggcute when he got too close. If we neutralized the wild pokemon there, that section of the route might return to normal."
To himself, Nathan adds, 'Gah, if Vincent and Winston were here, that would be so much easier...'
"So, opinions? I'd personally be up for training against an exeggcute or two if needed. Swiftfire would probably enjoy that. We've been feeling a little bit tougher since our training earlier." (Nathan's Vitality increases by 1!) He doesn't mention the fear Ralts felt in that direction though...it worries him, but it's small.
When Nathan more or less avoided answering his questions during the short ride, Ventus knew his suspicions were on to something. 'Nathan is clearly keeping something from me about Vincent's investigations, but why is he doing this? He should well know that I all wanted to do was just help track Vince down and make sure he's fine, but he still avoids all my inquiries. What information is so crucial that he would bar me from it,' Ventus though, growing increasingly irate with the total lack of communication on display in front of him. He's tired of it, and just wants to know more about what the hell is going on around him.
When he saw  Nathan get out of the van and approach the hiker, Ventus decided to discretely follow after him. While he normally wouldn't stalk after his companions, Ventus felt that at this point, he needed to keep tabs on his estranged friends. 'They won't talk to me except when they absolutely have to, hold vital information and refuse to share it, and are beginning to outright ignore my existence. If they continue their refusal to communicate, then I have not choice but to use alternative methods to gather intel,' he thought, tired of being in the Snubull house.
Being sure to keep out of sight but close enough to pick up on what Nathan was saying, Ventus listen in to their conversation. When the young trainer asked about the flowers, he skin crawled as he shuddered at the knowledge. Incensed, he furiously thought, ' Damn it! Even after my stunt, he still is foolish enough to chase after those wretched flowers! Perhaps that was the information he was keeping from me!' Just as he was about rush over to Nathan and confront him, he wrestled his emotions in place and stopped himself.
'No... I promised Shiva I wouldn't react like I did last time. Besides, I would only strain the connection I have with the group even more if I tried to prevent their idiotic actions without evidence backing me up. I'll bide my time until I have more ground to stand on before calling out their recklessness,' Ventus brainstormed, silently sighing in frustration at the position he was trapped in. Fortunately for everyone, the hiker said he didn't see any of those blasted flowers, but that their was something strange going on in the mists. Something about it affecting the Pokémon oddly?
'Either its as he says and its Psychic interference of some sort that making the Pokémon act strange, or some malicious Fairies are causing a riot with the mist. Both events are not very desireable, for obvious reasons,' he thought.
Ok, from now on when you do something like try to sneak up undetected, that needs to be a roll, remember? No godmodding. It's really important that your character's actions not tread on other characters actions without a roll.

I didn't know, honestly. I can delete the post right now, and just ask do the roll for that. I don't want to cause you unnecessary trouble, Iron! I just thought that something spying was not treading on someone elses actions, since Ventus was not actively getting in their way or baring their actions.
Dragonstrike specifically said he was doing it quietly, then you made a post saying you heard it anyway. So an easy way to tell that it would require a roll is that it is in opposition to what another character has reasonably done.
We'll let Dragonstrike decide if he wants a roll, or if you'd prefer you can just edit the post right off the bat.
Ventus would notice that Nathan leave the Van (or go up and talk to the hiker) and would follow after him in suspicion. I can concede that I would have to roll for whether or not I heard the conversation at all, and the stealth in the first place (Since he has a Ralts that can detect my presence).
I'll just wait for Dragon's response. What he says will dictate how much my post gets scraped and recycled. I don't mean all this aggressively, by the way. I'm just trying to rationalize from my point of view, but its your call as to what happens in game, Iron.
Yep I gotcha. Go ahead and keep it.
Nathan, Ralts notices another person and alerts you to his presence by tugging on your hand and glancing in his direction. Ralts senses that the intruder feels jealousy and feels left out, not malicious.
I just keep causing problems for people, don't I? Maybe I need to take a break from the game for a few days, and try to come up with a better way of piloting my character.
If Ralts noticed me, I might as well edit the part about me going back to the van, though. Have to see how Nathan reacts to Ralts first before I can make a stealthly get away.
