Then the Egg starts shaking and cracking!
More purple fluid oozes out - Shiva is careful to take it out of the Incubator and avoid the fluid, but it's only a little bit. Then the Egg splits, and writhing in the puddle is a baby Skrelp! It's so tiny!!!
Skrelp has Poison Touch, 2 Happiness, 3 Loyalty.
Tackle, Smokescreen, Water Gun, Feint Attack.
It will struggle to fight on land at least until it learns Camoflauge.
This is one of the most poisonous Pokemon known to man, and Shiva just hatched it.

While Shiva's attention is on the Egg, Ventus notices Heart has vanished. Ventus' instincts make him reach out just in time, steadying Shiva as Heart pops up behind her! Viktor cutely stalks Heart's shadow in turn.
When Heart appear behind Shiva he came a little close and say: "Boo!"Â After that Heart chuckle a bit. "Sorry for that Shiva and Ventus. I was training my stealth abilities. I was training together with my pokemon and was testing my stealth skills. Sorry for that."
(The extra action I have mention? A test of my new Stealth abilities. I have ask that in private with Iron to try a stealth roll when Ventus and Shiva come to the Shellter. Guess it work very well I guess.)
Throughout the trip to the Ruins and back to the Shelter, Ventus opted to remain silent and focused on his task at hand, as while normally he was quite the sociable (if eccentric) man, he would rather not be distracted just in case his/Shiva's Pokémon alert them to any threats. 'It pays to be vigilant, and costs you dearly if you are not!' he thought/reasoned to himself, before clearing his mind and resuming alertness. Once it became clear Unknown ! had an adverse reaction to the idea of reclaiming the dead place as its home - a feeling that the empath wholeheartedly agreed with, as the ghostly aura and clouds deeply unnerved him ..... - he promptly turned right back around and march right on back to the Shelter with his most blessed friend in tow.
During the trip back, he noticed Shiva checking her own Egg (And internally frown when he detected her negatively reacting to touching the strange fluid it was seeping; 'Odd....very odd indeed. Is it some form of embryotic yolk seeping through the shell, or something more......foul? Hmm....') , and decided
now would be a good time for him to do so as well! It had been only a couple of days since he received it back into his care and subsequently transferred it into the Fast Incubator lined with Primal Alternia fluff , so now more than ever it would be wise to see how his own child to be progressing! Practicing due diligence was always a great idea, in his opinion!
After returning , he followed Shiva around and let her do the talking/conduct her own business while he made sure the egnimatic punctuation mark was alert from the brief scare. Spotting Heart at the entrance, he gain them a nod of his head and a smile, before his attention was abruptly yanked away when his fae friend's Egg started to hatch, and nary a moment later a Skelp was born into the world! "By Reshirim, its a Skelp! I thought they were only native to the Kalos region, but its difficult to doubt its presence in Cheshire when the newborn is right here! How in the world did the Shelter receive such an relatively rare species into their care and not being able to verify its identity.....? Ah well, no matter at all, in the end! Please don't let my ramblings prevent you from tending to your child, my dear!" Ventus said in short order, a wide excited grin on his face as he looked over to the mystical lass in question...............before he noticed the previously rare collector had
vanished.
In an instant, the hairs on the back of his neck rose, and he did what Iron described when Heart suddenly re-appeared and startled her. The researcher had to restrain his automatic reflex to
punch the man in the face, and so instead settled for a scathing, flinty eyed glare, his grin now replaced with a thin lipped frown. "I don't appreciate me or my friends being used as ambush practice in
any capacity,
Heart. Its not a laughing matter in to be taken by surprise, as the worst possible things happen to those caught unaware. Or have you already forgotten the time we were almost caught off guard by the eremit's guards on the Tusk? You would do well to remember that, as if you pull anything like this on me or mine own again,
we will have a conflict of interests."
Ventus clenches his fist and shakes his head as he says this, clearly disappointed and
infurated with the stunt they pulled, before they took their leave of their presence. Years of working with Team Plasma and maintaining his presence in the criminal underworld, in addition to his frequent field research expedition, his more.....negative encounters with Pokémon AND his natural paranioa had left the empath with a
severe distaste and adversion to being stalked/snuck up on/spied on/badly surprised. Add in his own draconian reactions to threats towards himself/his love ones, and it was no surprise in retrospect that he was more than a bit peeved with Heart's Ambush despite it being in jest. Of course, to the Pokemon Collector it just seemed like Ventus reacted super poorly for no real good reason, but thems the breaks!
Soon enough the sociologist put that event out of his mind, and proceed to start his next shift of diligently working through the backlog of paperwork the Shelter has built up,
expending a Willpoint to help him power through with expedience, efficiency, and excellence! Then, once he completed his shift (And hopefully filed away most of the backlog) , he reported to Director North (if he was still here) , and gave them a friendly yet formal bow to them. "Sir, I have just finished my second shift of the day, and with that I have I have completed my volunteering term with the Shelter,
so per our agreement I would request we get started on the adoption of Kingdra into my care. I wish to fulfill my promise to him and take him on my travels through Cheshire, granting them the freedom and thrills they crave while provide a firm, disciplining hand to curb their more.......unruly behavior. I'll be returning here tomorrow to continue volunteering, however, as I still need to make arrangments between the Shelter and Dr. Mallorn in adopting that odd Beautifly in your care for his research, among other things, and I desire to continue lending my aid to this institution while I am in Stair. Is that acceptable to you, sir?"
