When they reached the lab Valder immediately saw that gauntlets. He's having Theo out, (I believe) steel types are their favourite...
*Tiny Flashback!*
Ventus gave him a concise but informative statement on Shiva's current location: "She's currently at [Insert Name of Location I Forgot] , participating in the Little Cup," followed by the question "Why do you ask, my friend?"
When his mercenary thanks him, the empath gave him a friendly clasp on the shoulder (Since he should be in Full Disguise by now), and simply said: "We are a team, Valder. You support me, and I shall do my the best to my ability to reciprocate."
*End of Tiny Flashback!*
Yes, that was my sentiment too - even if there's only 1 point difference in Base Speed and my foe has higher Dexterity, a Shellos is resembled after a sea slug, so a tie on Init Roll would feel scenically natural to be to my favour. I'm not too inclinged to level-up Dext or Survival for quite a while, but an upcoming +1 in Vitality should make up for my Pokemon going last in important battles!~ Or so I hope.
Scientist Carmen Round 2
Espurr/Kyuu withdrawn from battle, nullifying his -1 Accuracy, he's at 2/6hp (-2 Pain) He's holding an Oran Berry though, doesn't he want to consume it?
Special Shellos is first in Init order and has only suffered 1 damage so far.
Cherubi/Nightshade is fresh, her Held Item is that special stone from the eremit's cave - it doesn't have any battle-relevant mechanics though.
Rainy Weather is still active, so is my Light Screen. Second Round for that one.
Huh, that Shellos has proven itself some tough shell indeed. All that effort and care her foe has brought up into this small Pokemon felt totally worth it in Shiva's view, but that doesn't prevent her from silently giving her best to crack that shell!
"Nightshade, listen: We'll change the plan a little. Forget about the rain for now, can you see how your foe is preparing to strike before you? We better end this fast, so cast some rainbow-coloured leaves through the mist and sparkling sand. They'll find their aim. Up you go!"
----------------
Accuracy Roll Magical Leaf 1: 3 Dext + 2 Fight + 3 Channel - 3 Actions =Â 5 d6
Accuracy Roll Magical Leaf 2: 3 Dext + 2 Fight + 3 Channel - 4 Actions = 4 d6
Accuracy Roll Magical Leaf 3: 3 Dext + 2 Fight + 3 Channel - 5 Actions = 3 d6
Damage Roll: 3 Strength + 2 Power of the move + 1 STAB = 6d6 + 2 autodamage due to Double-SE on a Water/Ground Type!
Additional notes: Magical Leaf hits even is the Accuracy Roll fails. Nightshade receives -2 damage from any Water and Ground Type move from Shellos: -1 due to these Types not being very effective on Grass, another -1 due to all a Shellos naturally learns are Special, which triggers my Light Screen.

Valder had just shrugged to it, "It's not important".
The 'sandstorm' hurts. Nathan has to throw up an arm to cover his face as the flecks of metal sting it. And while that's happening, he's only thinking two things...
They're after Shiva.
And calling him a weak fool.
...
That does it. He was going to obliterate these Scimitars and make fools of THEM.
"Calam, keep up the pressure. Â Kirlia, back to me."
Out comes Grid as Kirlia retreats back to Nathan's side! Â
"Grid, make sure our opponents don't go anywhere. The ones that actually get stuck in the webbing are your targets."
Night Slash x3 again! Â (Still non-lethal, targeting Scimitar B first)
Accuracy: 5* Dex + 3 Fight + 2 Brawl - 1 Pain - 3/4/5 Actions = 6/5/4 D6
Damage:Â 10Â D6 base - 5 Defense = 5 D6
Effect: Still crits with only 3 successes
Spider Web!  (Going to spend one of those precious Will Points here to add a success! Meaning the move hits guaranteed thanks to Lucky Chant!)
Accuracy: 4 Dex + 3 Survival + 0 Stealth - 4 Actions + 1 Will = 3 D6 + 1 Success
Effect: This is a battlefield move, so it can't be evaded. It blocks ALL foes from fleeing until Grid leaves the battlefield!
Electroweb on Scimitars A and B
Accuracy: 4 Dex + 3 Fight + 3 Canalize - 1 Accuracy + 2 Compound Eyes - 5 Actions = 6 D6
Damage: 2 Power + 3 Strength + STAB - 5 Defense = 1 D6
Effect: -1 Dex for all hit by the move
Elctroball x2 (targeting Scimitar B first if Calam hasn't KOed him by this point)!
Accuracy: 10 base - 6/7 Actions = 4/3 D6
Damage: 2 Power + 1-2 Dex advantage + STAB + 3 Strength - 5 Defense = 2/3 D6
Effect: If Grid has higher Dex than his target, add damage dice equal to the difference in the Dex stats (up to 4 dice max)
Nathan's still got a Sweetroot and a Potion ready, one for each pokemon again (using the Sweetroot first) should either reach -2/-3 Pain.

Breed Cameron Round 2
Endeavor 1
4 Dex + 3 Fight + 2 Perform -2 pain -3 actions = 4d6
(4)(3)(6)(2)
Evasion 1: (4)(6)(2)(5)(1)
Koa's nostrils erupt in a trail of dragonflame and dragonsmoke as Taillow swoops in on him again and again, using its speed to the maximum. Koa's face is screwed up in concentration as he shakes off the attack! Koa will gain +1 Happiness if he defeats this hated foe!
Air Slash 2
(6)(6)(5)
(2)(6)(6)(6) Koa takes 3 dmg 3/6hp -2 pain
Flinch: (5)(3)(4)
Slash 1
(6)(6)(4)(6)
That's 9d6 dice with a Rivalry boosted crit, -3 vit = 6d6 dice
(3)(2)(3)(4)(4)(1) Taillow faints. Koa gains that point of Happiness!
The rain hasn't slowed, so your opponent reaches to a different Pokeball.
Out comes Surskit, a big one! It skates around on the thin layer of water pooling on the field.
Surskit: (3) + 6* Dex + Survival, going first again.
Koa was able to defeat that Taillow, but now the situation its a bit more complicated. Koa receive serious damage with that air slash, and Gustav was defeated. With that, the only pokemon allowed to fight now is Koa and the oponent still have a flesh pokemon. Yeah, talking about disavantages. "We both screwed my friend. There might a chance we gonna loose Koa." Koa and Heart gaze each other for a few seconds. "This kind remind me the battle against Nathan and in the cavern. We have in dificult situations before my friend. But...even if we loose, we gonna loose fighting, doing our 100% of our strengh!" (Reaction of Koa about Heart words). "I only wish it have the chance to fight against Shiva. But lets focus in this fight!" Then Heart make a serious look almost like he having intimidade ability. "Koa, Surskit problably going to use Bubble Beam to take the opportunity in use that rain and increase their powers. Or perhaps he will use Quick Attack or Aqua Jet to increase their speed and cause damage. You have to focus in dodge any type of damage possible my friend or we will be in trouble! Then use Slash to cause damage against the foe! But hold your Lethal Damage!" (Gonna increase Evasion from 1 to 2 for 6 XP Iron. Also I gonna use 1 Will point to ignored Pain during this round)
Dodge: Dex (3) + Fight (3) + Evasion (2)Â - Pain (2)Â - Actions (2) = 6d6
Slash Acuracy: Dex (3) + Fight (3) + Brawl (3) - Actions (3) = 6d6
Notes: Critical Chance. Lethal (Hold)
The gauntlets are a match, Valder is sure, and Ventus is pretty sure too.
The man speaking to you doesn't seem to care specifically about the mask now that he knows you don't have a gauntlet on. He says "This is a secure laboratory. How did you get in here?" It's clear they are not going to let you any further into the lab, but they are also not yet acting as if you're an enemy. Seems they buy your Skuntank story, though it in no way grants you access to the lab.
The guy at the computer does look longingly at Theo. Valder catches him at it and knows his guess was right.
Yeah, Kyuu eats his Oran Berry to reach 3/6hp.
"Oh, we've got a slightly interesting matchup here. The Shellos line and the Cherubi line are neighbors in the Pokedex. Carmen's Shellos is known to photosynthesize, and now it is facing a photosynthetic plant Pokemon. It's obvious which Pokemon is the cuter though!"
She unfurls a pink and green ribbon. It immediately gets soaked.
Scientist Carmen Round 2
Hidden Power 1
8 dice -3 actions = 5d6
(5)(5)(2)(3)(4)
3 Str + 1 power -3 vit = 1d6+1 (poison type)
(2) Cherubi takes 0 dmg 6/6hp thanks to light screen.
Something else happens, too, as Shellos touches Cherubi with slime. It forms a thin coating over Cherubi, shrinking to fit perfectly like a second skin!
Magical Leaf 1
(5)(3)(4)(3)(5)
(5) Shellos takes 3 dmg 2/6hp -2 pain.
Hm, that attack did less than it should have. Wait a moment, is Cherubi POISON type now?
Mud Slap 2
(1)(5)
(5)(4)(5)+1/-1 Cherubi takes 3 dmg 3/6hp -2 pain.
-1 accuracy for Cherubi
Oh, that sure confirms it! Cherubi's grass type has been REPLACED with Poison type.
Magical Leaf 2
(2)(2) It still swerves to hit Shellos.
(3) Shellos takes 2 dmg and faints. Lucky for Cherubi, that super effective power is still there!
"I don't mind telling you. Shellos' carefully altered Hidden Power is a poison type move of very little strength, but it is a bit like the move Soak! Good job defeating her anyway. And don't worry, that Poison will wear off very soon."
Switching, or keeping?
Grid: (4) + 7 = 11, basically replacing Kirlia
I had a typo earlier, it should have been Scimitar B who took the damage from Razor Wind. So they have lost 3 and 9hp (still -1/-2 pain!) To be clear, Scimitar A takes no damage from Razor Wind and took slightly reduced damage from Future Sight. Scimitar B takes normal damage from Night Slash and reduced damage from Razor Wind. That made a little of the math wrong but we're just going to leave it.
Scimitars Round 2
Night Slash 1
(4)(3)(1)(6)(4)(2) 3 successes
Evasion1: (5)(3)(3)(4) It's a critical.
(5)(3)(3)(4)(3)(1)(5) The man faints, and half the clones disappear. Something else happens, too: His gauntlet KERSPLODES in sparks and hissing! Even more interesting, though you probably won't notice it until after the battle: a couple shards of curved red or white fall from his robes. He falls to the ground, unconscious.
Spider Web 1
(3)(5)(4) +1 It tangles everyone up. Grid also manages to get some over the door and manhole cover, effectively keeping people out, too.
Night Slash 2
(1)(2)(5)(1)(4) Not a critical hit for once.
(4)(1)(5)(5)(2) Scimitar A takes 4 dmg. That attack was very effective. He's sustained 7 dmg now. -2 pain.
Electroweb 2
(3)(5)(3)(1)(2)(3) Barely hits, just as the man is recovering from the other attack.
But whoa, he shrugs off the webs with complete ease! He is not slowed by them nor damaged.
The surviving Scimitar clenches his fist, and steam rises from it. Where the steam passes, his body goes incorporeal, moving right through those spider webs.
Night Slash 3
Electroweb 3
both pass harmlessly through him, though he flinches visibly at the Night Slash. Not a real Flinch though.
Now Grid is the one moving like a puppet, his eyes rolling back into his head as he is lifted into the air.
Puppetry 3
(5)(1)
(5)(2)(5)(5) Grid takes 3 dmg. Again Nathan must rush onto the battlefield to help his Pokemon to 6/6hp. This time he kinda sees what's coming and is able to catch Grid out of the air as he falls. Nathan shivers as he passes through the space where Grid hung. The hair on the back of their necks is rising.
From Nathan's arms, Grid launches another electric attack, but it fails to impact him at all. The Scimitar is definitely looking weary, though. Drained. Definitely feeling outnumbered now.
Oh, you also notice that when corporeal, the Spider Webs sort of affect him.
So that's one defeated Scimitar and one at -2 pain with 7 hp missing.

The disguised researcher lets out an airy, throaty chuckle at the 'gentleman's' question, saying to them "AÂ mutual.....
friend of ours told us how to get......here, though nothing about
why or
what this place is......."Â before (With a gloved hand, mind you) reaching into his satchel and drawing out
his Metal Gauntlet in their plain view. "Sorry for not......
wearing this when I came in, but I draw......
enough attention thanks to my wardrobe. I don't like.....the way it feels against my........skin too, so I tend to......
avoid wearing it unless I.....need to use it." While he's holding 'his' Metal Guantlet, his other hand is loosely hanging by his side, ready to flick out Michael's and Apsis Pokeball should the situation go 'Loud'.
Order: Try to bluff them AGAIN with that short story in order to get them to loosen up and let them explore the lab. If success, he'll ask simply to be told about the place/what's in it, since he's never been here before, and be allowed in it. If not success/they get their panties up in a bunch, proceed with the assumption that Ventus and Valder are going to soon be having violent times with them.
Bluff one successful, time to see if he passes another.....
Breeder Cameron Round 3
Quick Attack 1
6* Dex + 3 Fight +2 -3 actions = 8 dice
(6)(5)(3)(6)(4)(2)(4)(5) Critical hit, potentially. 6 successes.
Evasion 1: (5)(4)(3)(2)(1)(6) Surskit is just wayyyy too fast on that film of water. Koa had a chance against him otherwise.
2* Str + 2 power + 2 crit -3 vit = 3d6
(3)(1)(6) Koa takes 1 dmg 2/6hp
"You like how fast my Surskit is? When I saw rain in the forecast I knew today would be his day! He was a bit wasted on yesterday's opponent."
Quick Attack 2
(6)(2)(5)(6)(3)(6)(3)
(4) Koa takes 1 dmg 1/6hp -3 pain
Koa's reaction to Heart's words is just to grit his teeth and attack without feeling the pain!
Slash 2
(5)(2)(3)(1)(1)(6) It hits but no crit.
(5)(3)(4)(5) Surskit takes 3 dmg 2/5hp -2 pain
Quick Attack 3
(3)(4)(1)(6)
(5) Koa faints.
"Heart is out of the match. Don't be sad, though - you were in the Top 32 of the Little Cup in the biggest city in Creshire! We up here in the tower salute you and your brave little dragon."
Heart defeated one of the Pokemon so he can split 6XP among his fighters in this match. He gains 3 for himself.
This is an official League event, so Heart gets a stamp on his holographic Trainer Card stating that he was in the Top 32!
Koa looks pretty happy in his faint - he agrees that you should go down fighting if you go down!
