Shiva's standing a little in front of Ventus, obscuring the important parts of the journal from view. But that gives her an excellent angle.

(Holy moly. I was looking for 2+ successes, btw, with more being better, so...oh, and I'll also give Shiva a little bonus since Ventus's view got blocked.)
Shiva actually sees some interesting words peeking out from under Nathan's arm.Â
Krane is one of them. She also catches the words
Purify Chamber.
And at the bottom of the page, where Nathan couldn't quite cover it up entirely since it's between his fingers...
Maybe...could...helpful...need...investigate...further.
Ventus, of course, doesn't see any of this, probably much to his frustration.
(01-28-2018, 06:07 PM)Lord Windos Wrote: [ -> ]Ventus does indeed catch Kirlia acting furitively, but does nothing about it for the moment, as his attention was squarely focused on their master as they began to divulge what they know of the ever elusive Time Traveler Celebi. He was mostly silent throughout the young scholar's lecture, he did pipe in with his own comments from time to time, either to ask for clarification or voice his own interest in certain pieces of information they brought up.
"Intriguing... The distinction between Legend and Mythical is more of a classification thing to help sort the myriad powerful beings into more easily catagorizable and researchable sources, but it also signifies the power difference between the two group. I find it most fascinating and odd that the Legendaries here are so distinguished, powerful, and present in this region in contrast to the rest of the world, but I digress. Please, continue on."
(...)
"Vaguely. The bulk of my knowledge concerning Legendary and Mythical come from the ones 'Native' or 'Most widely known' in my region, but I have researched a little into Celebi origins and powers. What you say conflicts with some of the accounts I've read, given the Time Traveler's extreme obscurity and elusiveness, I wouldn't discount that what's been said is more myth than truth."
(...)
"That fits with what their so far thought of its secluded nature, as does its preference for Pokémon company, but I haven't heard of any Celebi willing visiting human cities. Usually Celebi's power and affinity for nature shines more strongly in the scant historical sources than its powers over time, but that seems to be the reverse case in Cheshire. The Old King's interest in them is not surprising, but it is disconcerting. Hmm...."
Once the boy wrapped up his lecture, Ventus looked ponderously up towards the air while stepling his fingers together in a sort of meditative/though processing gesture, until he turns his gaze back towards Nathan and gives them a respectful nod of his head, and uttered his thanks as previously stated. However, their was one more thing he added, almost as if in an afterthought: "If you desire, I could tell you more about what I know of my region's views and lore concering its Legendary Pokémon sometime in the future. Its the least I can do for informing what you know about Celebi, so don't feel shy in asking me."
When he caught a glimpse of what was unmistakenly the Relic Stone of Orre , the empath suspicion and apprehension sharply spike, though unlike his new found.......feelings towards the boy he kept this well hidden from the prying senses of Kirlia or Shiva. There was no doubt about in Ventus' mind: they definitely aware of certain and more.....concealed aspects of the desert's region's recent tragedies. The only question remains if he is aware of the existence of Shadow Pokémon......and all the unfortunately implications thereof.
'No matter how much I loathe initiating a confrontation over anything with him given his willful stubbornness and aggressively defensive nature, I have to know to what extent his knowledge goes regarding Orre and its crises. If he knows of Shadow Pokémon and their designs......then I must uncover all I can and that is possible. Information on those unfortunate and tragic creatures are scarce and well hidden for great reason, so if he's somehow aware.....I have to wonder how, why, and what....'
Thankfully the young trainer's next statement distract the empath's thoughts from growing anymore dire, and he pauses to reflect on how to answer it...before he just shrugs.
"I can not say how either Pyroar and Charmeleon will react or feel about you potentially becoming their master until I see you interact with each of them.  I can say that the loin will very much appreciate your company, but will most definitely react poorly if he's forced to interact with any Pokémon, while Charmeleon's is insolent and defiant, and has been said by the Director to be close in evolving into its even more aggressive evolution. The choice in which one you want to add to your team, if any, is up to you and which responsibilities you are willing to undertake."
Ventus then nods his head, and gestures towards the entrance/exit to the Center.
"Now with everything said, shall we all get going to complete our respective tasks for the day? I wish to accompany Shiva to the Department Store and do a bit of searching myself, but I'll be swift to attend your Gym Match once that errand is completed!"
Flashing forward to the end of the conversation!
(Neither Nathan nor Kirlia noticed Shiva glancing at those notes, btw. Make of that what you will. Journal is put away at this point.)
"...I'll, uh...keep that offer to compare notes in mind...knowledge is power and all that, right? Not now, though..."
...
"...that's...not quite what I was asking but...that obvious, huh? I...can't deny that I like Fire types, though...and if I could give one of them a good home that they can appreciate..."
...
"I'll meet you at the gym after I purchased some supplies then, Ventus...I'd...rather not do my shopping at the Department Store..."
Once everything is said and done, Nathan packs up everything and heads out to the markets for a quick restock on healing supplies!
Selling that Nugget for that sweet, sweet $5000. Then purchasing...4 Potions and 1 Paralyz Heal. Brings Nathan's on-hand cash to $5620.
Nathan's waiting outside the gym for Ventus to show up not long afterwards. Forthright still refuses to stay in her ball (and looks just a tad sad that the rain has stopped) and Kirlia is there as always, though trying to stand as faaaarrr away from the gym's walls as possible while still staying next to Nathan.

Lunatone and Solrock go take up opposite positions on two of the towers. It's pretty hard to figure out what they're thinking, but they have the slightest aura of satisfaction.
"I think it's a hit," says Director North. "I think."
"I think they love the place." Heart smile. "You know, I really should come here again when got the chance." Then Heart look in his clock about the hour. "Hmm almost done with everything. I think the others will going to the Gym challenge Dagny. Perhaps I should join them too. Perhaps I will join tomorrow when got the chance."Â
After finishing his bussiness in the Shellte, Heart decided to make a quick stop in the Departament store to buy a few items to the journey: Two potions and see again the TMs who still have in store. Them after the buying Heart decided to go to the gym and watch the pokemon battle!Â
(Also Iron, what TMs is store? Also any chance to have Leftlovers and a Moon Stone in the Departament?)
The TM list is the same as last time I posted it.

They pretty rarely get new shipments.
"Moon Stones and Leftovers are items that we cannot create by man, unfortunately, so they are both very rare. No one knows what makes a Leftovers acquire such potency!"
......'Krane'? That sounds like a name. An important one likely, maybe something like a Professor? Does Orre have these as well? Eh, if they have Pokepsychologists, why actually not...? 'Purify Chamber' sounds rather elusive, somewhat dangerous and secret, what may it have to do with a Pokemon's heart or Relic Stones? And what was there to 'investigate further'? Questions over questions, and so little answers.... She was VERY undisclosed whether it was a good or a horrible idea to ask Nathan more about this, and it was certain that even if it'd be a good idea she won't mention a thing about that now. For various reasons. She casts a meaningful glance over to Ven though.......

The weather outside was indeed nice, finally being outside brought some of Shiva's spirits back and put these worries and questions-with-no-answers aside for now. She's also visibly remaining close to the dear/dark oddball of researcher and keeping a few more Pokemon outside than she usually does:
Vaporeon is lazily trotting beside her, eying the skyscrappers and buildings of Stair City in wonder. "Get used to such a sight, dear one... Where I'm coming from, such a sight is daily life."
Yena is walking a few steps in front of his Master, leaving a trail of Shield dust behind and following any thrown frisbees with curiosity.
Nightshade enjoys her place on her Master's shoulder, hiding between some strands of her hair, nuzzling that stone from the Tusk and generally feeling delighted over the sunshine.
Cottonee is practically floating alongside them, occasionally placing herself on various spots for breaks. Including on Ventus' left shoulder, if he allows the fluffball so close to him.
Once having agreed with Ventus to meet again after they have finished their respective business - or having hugged him goodbye right away so that she can head to the Shelter and he to the Gym right away afterwards - Shiva uncommonly determined, maybe even a tad bit confident about what she wanted to do, took the elevator up to... The Almanac's Sales Floor. In it, she already counted the right amount of money.
Nothing has changed about all that steel on this floor as it seems - she draws Cottonee closer to herself and places her Almanac'Dex' on the counter of the respective boot. "Hello... I've been here already not too long ago, asking about something - in fact about the Upgrade of my Dex with Information about Pokemon from Tandor. You still have that available? Here are 2500$, which I was told is the prize."

"Ah no problem. I would like to look a few Tms."
(What is the price of Sunny Day, Smack Down, Bulk Up, Calm Mind and Honey Claws? Since that the only ones with no price showing)

"Yes Ma'am!! May I see your Almanac?" He stresses this word ever so slightly, politely, as they prefer not to call it a 'dex.' He slides the Almanac into a device that looks a bit like a microwave, and pushes a long series of buttons. It hums.Â
"This will take about three minutes. Feel free to browse our other wares in the meantime."
Ding!
"Hear you are, Ma'am! Your Almanac now has exclusive data on Tandor Pokemon! Come back soon! There's always more upgrades!"
Ventus, when shopping for sales, let me know what sorts of things you're interested in, or if it's just anything.

Indeed, what other stuff do they actually have - any more specific Pokeballs with exclusive uses, like that Beast Ball the last time?
And out of pure curiosity, how much does one of these Vitamins that work on humans cost, as Shiva's still having lots of money?
