That was a consideration...
No sense rushing things anyway. It wasn't as if he needed a new 'Mon immediately. Besides, though he hoped it wouldn't come to that and the kid would see reason, he realized Ventus had thought things through and that like-it-or-not, that foolhardy kid's safety was a genuine concern.
"Fair enough point, Ventus. I suppose we'll head back and get things patched first."
"Splendid! I'll certainly feel safer having you at my side, Vince. A weakened Togepi and ornery snake don't make for much of a safeguard, hmm?" He turned to Larry, looking expectantly at him. "Let's go, Larry. We all have had enough excitement for one day, and I for one would like to get my Raphael some more treatment besides field medicine."
Before he headed out, though, he turned towards the officer Wake, and digging into his pocket, pulled out his share of the money he got from the battle. "Here, Officer. It doesn't feel right for me to scavenge this off...well, what remains of that unfortunate trainer. You stuck you both your and your Growlith's neck out for our safely, so if anyone deserve this, its you." Handing over the cash to the Wake, Ventus began his treack back into Trillum, hoping to reach the Pokémon Center before it starts raining again... or another mob of Pokémon ambushes them.
Wake conscientiously donates the $18 to the Trainer Orphan Charities In Creshire (T.O.R.C.H.I.C) Foundation.
Professor Mallorn has decided to make the bounty $50 for each Pokemon species recorded by your party, so Lord Windos and Larry each receive $50 since they would submit their new Pokemon at the same time.
(I assume that I went to Mallorn to get the reward, so I'm going to talk with him now.)
"Before I head to the Pokémon Center, Dr. Mallorn, do you happen to have some camping equipment for sale? Me and my group will eventually have to leave Trillum to accomplish our goals, and I think they would be grateful for the shelter. I would also like a couple of Repels too, just in case. What else was there..." Ventus was tapping his chin in thought, when he snapped his fingers. "Oh! Is there if anyone here in Trillum was looking for an Ekans? While I don't doubt I can handle it myself, with due time, if I can find it a comfortable home with someone who truly desire them, then all the better,"
"Camping gear is expensive, hm... I have a few old tarps that you can have for free. A top of the line tent big enough for all of you would be $2,300 if you buy it from me. It actually has Pokemon repellent in the fabric.
Ekans is a somewhat desirable Pokemon for its size, but I tell you honestly Trillium isn't the place to sell one, since this is a Newbie Zone where poison attacks are not allowed. I'll give you $300 for it, but you can get a much better deal for that Ekans elsewhere. I heard there's a carnival coming up next week in Ginger Town, maybe you could try there? Or there are people who will buy ANYTHING in Stair City. Also make sure no one else in your group of friends wants it!"
After handing Ralts over to Nurse Joy for healing, Nathan waits for Shiva to do the same with Cottonee, and then sits down right next to her once again at one of the tables in the P.C., hoping he can actually manage to strike up a conversation of some kind this time without getting interrupted one sentence in.
"Okay, Shiva, I need a little help on this.  As I said, Ralts doesn't know a move other than Growl currently.  That's a bit of a problem.  After that battle though, I think he's ready to try and learn Confusion.  Well, almost.  He'll have to go through a training session, maybe two, before he'll be able to learn the move.  The problem therein lies in teaching it how to use psychic power...and I'm a little stumped on how to do that.  I mean, I guess I have an idea or two...but how do you teach something how to use psychic power in the first place if you can't really demonstrate it yourself in some way?  Any ideas? I wouldn't mind having a little help with the actual training either, to be honest..."
"Groundsheet'll do, Prof. Thanks."
Not like we can afford the tent after your Pokedex sales pitch... He wants to add, but keeps the snark to himself.
He neatly rolls the offered tarp, lashing across the top of his backpack using a securing strap.
"Keeping an eye on this group should come with hazard pay, Prof." He manages a chuckle. "Mallorn, given you did promise the 'Dex came with a phone function, we should probably register your number. If nothing else, we might end up calling you for resupplies."
"Same for you, Doc." He adds, glancing at Ventus while fiddling with Pokedex's abominably small dial screen. "Given we're working together, it wouldn't hurt to keep each other on speed dial should an emergency arise. Probably should do the same for the kids... where-ever they've gotten themselves to."
"Either way. Think I got it pretty clean, but I might as well get Joy to check if I missed anything with the Ekans cleanup. I'm going to head over to the Centre first. Shoot me a call if you're heading that way. I'll let you know before I head out, Doc."
He turns and steps towards the door, angling in the direction of the Pokemon Centre, as Vincent trots along beside him.

Assuming There Is Willingness:
Am offering to register the Professor's phone numbers on the Pokedex's phone function.
Shiva was openly suprised at Joy cutting this battle prematurely... But maybe it was better this way, and she probably was right in her thoughts about not fighting until someone faints. Let's call it a day, as well sort of an success.
A few moments later, Shiva slumped backwards against the wall. Damnit. Where all battles this exhausting, or was it just because she's not used to it? Cottonee, on the other hand, seemed to be alright although it had to endure a hit or two, and floated over to its Master, wondering what's wrong.
„
Oh, don't worry for me, lil' one... I'm doing... alright, just... need to catch up... on breath a little...“ … „You did great though, thank you! Take a rest for now, too; and if you like, you can cuddle up to my scarf a little.“ She removed mentioned tartan scarf from her neck, folded it twice and placed it onto the fluffball's head, before withdrawing it all into the Pokeball and handing it over to Joy. One hour, she said? Fine, this will be enough to restore strength again.
- Back at the Lounge Area, with Nathan at the table, waiting for their companions to be healed -
After listening to Nathan's words about his thoughts on the encounter and how he wishes for her to help him teach Ralts a new move, she considered for a few moments before responding.
„
I don't know much about Psychic-Types and their powers, but I think we can do something about having it learn Confusion... No idea if it will be fruitful, but we can just give it a try, if you wish. Not now and here, though. Since, eh, shouldn't we better wait for the others to meet up with us again? If I recall, they mentioned that they wanted to look after those Ekans, weren't they...?“
(WINDOS, you wanted to buy tents...? Is dusk falling already, or are they just to be saved for later if we decide to leave town all together once healing's done?)

"Definitely not now, but some time later. Â Tomorrow if not today. Â It'll likely take awhile to do, probably at least a few hours. Â We'll definitely have to tell the others what we're planning on doing before starting on it. Â I'm sure they'll walk in that door pretty soon, though. Â They've probably finished with that Ekans nest by now, and at least one of them is likely going to need some quick care for their pokemon after walking straight into a snake nest.
"In the meantime though, I want to discuss various ideas for how I might train Ralts.  To pass time with him before, I've used simple puzzles in the past.  Considering psychic powers are sort of loosely connected to that, I think that could be a decent warm up for the training.  The real issue I'm having with this right now is what to do after that, since raising a psychic type is vastly different from any other type, and the little documentation I've read on it is very vague.  Any ideas?"
