Kee chips in once again upon noticing that Kogeki's draining makes a certain golden and silver Ralts dear to him uncomfortable and nervous; he continues sniffing and gnawing at the kunai as he faces the deltadog. It'll be semi-covered in black and white Zigzagoon-hair soon. "Do allow me t'ask Kogeki, WHY d'ya have to do this? What's yar motivation? Is it within yar nature as a Delta Riolu, does yar inner Pokemon force ya t'do so? Since it makes her - and if being honest, me to a degree likewise - uncomfortable - couldn't ya possibly abstain from drainin' every 'Mon we face of their aura, similar how I managed to not charge at that Team Artificers despite my inner instinct wanted me t'do so?"

(For the sake of not accidently stalling things I'll already state which way Kee wishes to follow next: Down to the south.)

RE: [Game Thread] Pokerole Mystery Dungeon: Primal Shadows - Lord Windos - 04-19-2020

With Medititie's defeat and Dax's prompt treatment, the brimstone imp smile turns relieved and joyful, ceasing to aggressively Cover and protect and doing a quick jig to celebrate! Oh yes yes, her group and friends were once more victorious! Now they're that much stronger and more prepared to exact their enemies and the Darkness' defeat, yes, with herself feeling more fleet of feet! Pyra spends 10 XP to increase her DEX to 2, and her Level to 7! Now she can somewhat reliably preform at least two Actions per Round and less likely to be dead last again, huzzah!

Sadly her enthusiasm is cut short when Kogeki and Kee get into a spat over the treatment of their former enemies. Pyra's reaction to the phantom brave's vindictiveness is one of easy acceptance, nor was she overly bothered by his earlier threats to murder these nuisances. She has always approved of his decision to drain their enemies auras to fuel his own Ghostly powers in the first place and she herself had virtually zero taboos or inhibitions when it comes to killing, so Kogeki's attitude and grim undertaking she had no qualms with either. Heck, she approved of it, as anything that can make him or her friends more powerful or content as a Pokemon was not a automatically condemnable to her (if ever) !

Kee's tongue-lashing of the dead ninkin was a matter the playful fiendess' stayed well out of, looking distinctly uncomfortable with the former and sympathetic to the later. Normally she'd go in there and break things up - possibly give the black 'n white crittercoon a dressing down of his very own - but in this case his harsh criticism was warranted to an extent (though she doesn't truly agree/understand the reasoning behind it) and he was the Leader for the Dry Woods expedition, so getting involved in that argument was not only justified but ill advised. She herself had been on and off the hot seat all for her own judgment and curiosity, and she didn't want to be made to sit in it again so soon!

Once all was said and done with that, Pyra would skip over to Kogeki and give him a kind, soothing smile, along with a nod and  pat on the back. This lil' demoness understands why you're doing what you're doing to these wild mobs, and has no problems with it, none at all. In this matter, and perhaps in most deliberations on life and death, she'll have his back!

Kee's and Karen's varied disdain towards Kogeki's aura draining has been noted by her, though, so she'll likely ask more about it with all of them later, once things have settled down. No need to reignite that conversation and thicken any bad blood between them, oh infernal no!

(Alright, that's my two piece on the post battle commentary, so I'm ready to move on whenever mates! Phantom, which way do we go now?)

RE: [Game Thread] Pokerole Mystery Dungeon: Primal Shadows - Dragonstrike - 04-19-2020

Note for Windos: Pyra was already Level 7 because of her initial Skill Point distribution, so she's now Level 9 after increasing her Dexterity.

Marcus interrupts everyone's conversation.

"You all done with your little argument now?  Yes?  Good.  No point in continuing this discussion now.  They're clearly not dead, so I'm not going to worry about it for the time being.  Let's move on.  The sooner we get out of here, the better."

Everyone presses on, and the next tile is another branching path created by corridors lined with trees.  The scenery's all starting to look the same.

There doesn't appear to be anything of note here, either.

Karen looks at Kee.  "Sooooo...which way now?"

RE: [Game Thread] Pokerole Mystery Dungeon: Primal Shadows - Spiritmon - 04-19-2020

Kogeki grab his kunai and clean up from all the Zigzagoon hair from her. He didnt answer Kee question. And he just nod of Pyra action towards him.

He just walk once more the path trying to follow everyone.

Karen looks at Kee.  "Sooooo...which way now?"

He points into a certain direction with a black Ziggy paw. "...That wae. Me feels we've been around here already, but I kinda wanna see whether the exit isn't in this direction before wandering off into the other."

RE: [Game Thread] Pokerole Mystery Dungeon: Primal Shadows - Dragonstrike - 04-19-2020

Karen spends 10 exp on increasing her Insight to 2 and grows two levels!  She's now Level 7!

"Did I just get stronger?  Alright!"

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Continuing down that path takes the group to a very tall cliff covered with small piles of rocks.  Exceedingly tall trees can be seen growing from the ground below, stretching past the height of the cliff itself.  In the distance, the tree line also seems to be receeding!  Marcus seems rather excited about that!

"That's it!  That's the exit!  We're almost there!"

Marcus walks past Kee, taking the lead to show everyone the way out, but he stops in his tracks when one of the larger piles of rocks on top of a larger rock begins to shake.  Loose rocks fall off of the pile as a pokemon that had been hiding in them stands up and looks at everyone.  Red crystals decorate its hide, glowing in the fading sunlight as the sun begins to set in the background.

A very gravelly, grating voice follows as the pokemon turns to face the group, standing on a rock between them and the edge of the cliff that leads to the exit.

"So, you're the strange pokemon that my Roggenrola spotted in the cave we once lived in.  You've come to drive us away from our new home, haven't you?  I won't allow that!  This cliff is our territory, and none shall move us from it!"

Marcus looks very surprised to see this pokemon here.

[attachment=1047]

"What do you mean this is your territory?  Roggenrola don't live in the Dry Forest!"

Boldore isn't having any of it, though. It stomps on the ground with a solid sounding THUD! in anger!

"Silence!  Leave, or we shall have to force you to do so!"

[attachment=1048]

"No can do, pal!  We've gotta get past you to get out of here, so if you're looking for a fight, then you've got one!"

Marcus briefly looks back at the rest of the group as he brandishes his bone in defiance while many of the smaller rock piles also start to shudder and fall apart, revealing a small group of Roggenrola that start to surround the group on all sides.

"Looks like there isn't going to be any reasoning with them!  Brace yourselves, because this looks like it's gonna be a tough fight!"

"Everyone attack!  Drive the intruders off!"

There's a total of 4 Roggenrola closing in as Boldore gives the order to attack from its pedestal in front of the group!  It's time for the first boss battle of the game!

VS Boldore!

Kogeki was walking with everyone toward their goal. Until the moment the Boldore appears and threat everyone to leave or die. He simple cross his arms and walk beside Marcus. "So...the presence we felt in the caverns was your Roggenrola? That explain a lot." Kogeki unwrap the Kunai he carry in his back, and points towards Boldore. His Kunai might be less impressive in comparison to Marcus Bone weapon, but it was everything he have at the moment. "We not going anywere Boldore. We going to transform you and your Roggenrola in rumble"

Kogeki explain his strategy plan to his friends. "Daxter. Kee. Karen. Those Roggenrola might be a huge problem if we let them do what their want. We must deal with the most fastest group (Who in this case is the Roggenrola duo A). We deal with the other group later. Of course, you guys can do the action you see better, I just saying some tips in this battle."

Kogeki look at Marcus and Pyra. "Marcus. Pyra. We must focus in beat that Boldore together. I think we could soft that rock head with that Bone Cub of yours Marcus. And Pyra?" Kogeki reveal a sly grim smile. "How about we "Bite" to death that Boldore until he either Faint or Flinch?"

Loosing no time to waste, Kogeki jump in the battle, but not before he felt the energy withim becoming a little powerful. After absorbing so many Pokemon Auras, his own Vitality seems to have become more firm and powerful, making him more health to take a few hits!

Using 10 XP to increase Kogeki Vitality from 1 to 2! Now his base HP is 5!

Feeling that surge of power, he prepare his fangs to Bite that Boldore to oblivion!

Bite: Dex(2)+Fight(2)+Brawl(0)+Single Action(2)=6D6
Damage: Power(2)+STR(2)=4D6
Effect: D3 to Flinch.

RE: [Game Thread] Pokerole Mystery Dungeon: Primal Shadows - no one - 04-19-2020

Dax watched the exchange between Kee and Kogeki. He had no doubt Kogeki was one hundred percent on their side. And yet he couldn't stop the sneaking feeling that he and Kee might end up having to physically stop Kogeki and Pyra from taking things too far. He decided he'd keep a closer eye on them. For Karen's sake at the very least. She was so gentle and soft hearted that he couldn't help but like her. Another burst of pain reminded him that he still hadn't eaten the pecha berry. He stared down at the berry, with his vision now swimming. His thoughts were definitely beginning to slow down. He threw the berry into his mouth, with his tongue curling around the berry, while tasting its sweetness. His thoughts suddenly cleared, and an image flashed in his mind. A strange canine Pokemon. He felt a surge of affection and bonding so intense that he almost fell over. He shook his head, and decided that he'd think about it later. Something must have been causing his memory to return.

He decided to focus on chewing the berry. He liked it. It wasn't quite enough to satisfy his hunger, as his thoughts kept going to seaweed and other aquatic plant life. He decided he'd test out those fins and webbed limbs in a swim as soon as he could so that he could find some seaweed to try.

Dax stared at the sheer number of opponents they had to fight. He needed to take the front line. His moves were the most effective against these opponents. He carefully picked out his opponents (one Roggenrola A and the Boldore boss), and launched an almighty Bubble at them.

Bubble
Accuracy: 2 Dex + 2 Fight + 0 Channel +2 Single Action - 1 Pain= 5d6
Damage: 2 Power + 2 Special + STAB + SE= 6D6
Additional Effects: 1D6 for a chance to lower each hit opponent's Dex by 1

Hearing Marcus' excited declaration, Pyra rushes forward to his side to have a look herself, her eyes glimmering with her own peppy energy as she spotted the exit too.

"Truly and verily, Marcus, the end of our expedition is at its beginning? *Looks for herself* Yes, yes, it is indeed! Soon we shall all enter civilization, yes, soon shall I learn what 'civil', 'civilized', 'civilize' , and all things 'civilization' mean !!"

Now isn't that great to hear? Or maybe not, depending on how you view that statement.

Alas, a rockblock quite suddenly made itself present, and with equal brevity would see no reason and declared everyone an enemy to be driven, diverted, or defeated. At this, the lil' demoness smile becomes....strained as she stared at the Boldore with deceptive calmness and nicity.

"So you and your own stand in our way, barring we and me from the conclusion of our journey? Very well."

In an instant, she gave the rubies in the rough and its minion a almost petrifying grin, her expression morphing into the worst kind of welcome.

"So shall you pay, by us ripping and pounding away at you and your stony gang."

Intimidate Triggered! - 1 STR to All Opponents!

She paused long enough to hear out Kogeki's plan for her, and gave him a most approving and toothy grin and simply purred in delight.

"Indeed, and agreed."

And wasting not a second more time, the brimstone imp was bearing down on the Boldore leader, mouth stretch wide open and eyes wide with carefree menace. Time for you to get chomped on, oh nom nom nom.

Order: A Single Action Bite for Boldore, followed by an Conditional Healing Order with her last Oran Berry if she reaches 2/5 or less HP before the first Turn ends, or treating anyone at - 2 Pain with it if they're not already treating themselves. Let's make like Ozzie and bite our enemies head's off !

Bite
Accuracy: 7D6 Base Dice
Damage: 5D6 Base Damage
Effect: *Flinch 3*
