[Meta Thread] Pokerole Mystery Dungeon: Primal Shadows

Hmm...there a few paths I could go with such sweet XP:

1 - Use 20 XP to increase my HP to 3 and maximize my health, going from 5 to 6 total Health. Not a bad health. I think this could make Kogeki one of the most tank in the group in terms of HP. The left 14 XP could be used to increase either increase Brawl or Weapon to 3, making more easier to land his physical moves, or use more sword skills (not to mentioned increase the dice accuracy of Bulk Up).

2 - Save some XP for later to learn Shadow Bone. I still lack in more interesting Ghost type moves. Unless we find Shadow Claw, I kinda stuck to Shadow Punch. It is still a cool move, but right now I still a mono ghost Riolu.

3 - Use the XP to increase my Survival from 1 to 2. And use the leftlovers to increase Alert from 1 to 2. Or maybe be more wild: Increase Survival from 1 to 3, and then use the leftlovers to increase alert from 1 to 2. That could help to increase my initiative since my Dex is already very good. Not to mentioned increase Kogeki more perpective instincts.

Hmmm....decisions, decisions...

Edit: Looking back in the few battles, I think I very tempt to lean to the Survival/Alert route. Sometimes I wished I was able to have a better initiative in the some battles that happened. After all, Kogeki say he is the "fastest" ninja of the sand. Need to work to make that true, so when we meet Axel, I show him who is the fastest Pokemon: Either the Aura Ninja or the Fire Thief.

Or option 4: Save up 50 XP so you can buy either a Point of Instinct or Logic, so that you either have greater access to your Movepool (and therefore more different kinds of Actions to do in a single Round) or regaining more of your Human Memories and being able to craft/use more Ninja/Utility Items. Both have their pros/cons, so factor them according if you go down that route!

IMO, I would disregard options 1 and 2. You basically WANT your HP to be at a Odd Number so that Pain doesn't get to - 2 without going over half HP (3/5 still puts you at - 1 Pain, for example, while 3/6 gives you - 2), and TMs, Move Tutors, and raising Instinct can solve Movepool problems eventually. Increasing your base Attributes and Specialty Stats, however, is always good, though I would suggest going for DEX (if you CAN increase it) so that you can both raise your Initiative and general Accuracy Pools that involve DEX (Stealth based actions often heavily use DEX if Insight isn't appropriete, for example). I would only suggest going after Skill and Specialty Point upgrades if they're particularly cheap relative to other options, and only if they'd be more impactful than saving up for a bigger payoff (like an Attribute increase, for example).

You do you, though. You know Kogeki best and what he needs, so take my advice with a grain of salt!

Uhhh
Is it just me or did something funky happen with landorus's health?
It jumps from 11 to 6 and then back to 10. I mean if we won, it doesn't matter all that much but it might have been cos of a change that dragon made without remembering to fix it.

Also, @Spiritmon I don't use any tools. I used to use some templates for mons and abilities and moves that you can get off the pokerole discord server but it was a lot of effort to keep using the templates so now I just make a list. Basically just say "these are the abilities, it learns x at level 1, y at level 4" and stuff like that. Honestly much easier that way.

Also, gonna use 20 exp to increase Strength from 2-3. Will save the rest to learn Dragon Rush (25 exp away).
I'm no one special. Also, here's a pupper pic:

You're looking at Mega Gallade's HP I think.  He tanked a Sheet Force Earth Power in the middle of all of that.

But if I increase my Instinct attribute, there isn't the danger in go Primal, since increase either Logic or Instinct reduce the other? Correct if I wrong Dragonstrike.

Primal only increases if you faint without any other method of being revived or if there's an external factor involved.  Logic is the stat that determines how much you remember about being human.  Instinct is how attuned you are to the strengths of being a pokemon.

Increases in Instinct and Primal can both decrease Logic unless I say otherwise, and you lose the character if Logic hits 0.

So if I increase my Instinct now using my XP I will decrease my Logic?

Yes.

Then it's not worth at the moment. Either increase Logic or Instinct doesn't look a good deal to me at the moment. I better work with something I can use in the long run.

Ah yes, forgot about that rather annoying side effect of Instinct growth. Platina doesn't have to worry about her Logic score (currently, anyway - Dragonstrike might find a way to 'spice' up my life in that department someday), so she can actually focus Instinct without completely screwing herself over or having to do a tedious balancing act. Sorry 'bout giving you faulty info, mate!

In any case, I say save up for an Attribute point that isn't in HP, since every bit of help you get there pays dividends BIG time.
