Soft Resetting List For Shinies??
#1
Hey guys

Dunno if this is the right place to post this but I wondered if anyone had a list of shinies you can soft reset for, I know of a few already but am pretty into shiny hunting at the moment (got a shiny baashaun, selkid, nupin, eletux and kinetmunk). Here's the ones I could list off the dome  Tongue

Ratsy - Venessi City
Gargryph - Venessi City
Eletux - Starter
Orchynx - Starter
Raptorch - Starter
Urayne - Legendary
Actan - Legendary
Lanthan - Legendary
S51??

Every Pokemon available are able to be shiny hunted. Unlike the real games, there are no shiny-locks. I'm not sure if the eggs the professor gives you are able to be shiny hunted, though

This user is asking about soft-resetting in front of a static encounter.

S51 can be reset for. Remember that S51A can't be caught though.

You can shiny reset for Mystery Gifts when they're available (Probably soon!!)

Those Linkites in Pokeballs in Maskara Island Labyrinth.

Casino Pokemon

Gift Pokemon/NPC trades

Garlikid - need empty slot in party

Urayne - need to use an Autosave trick

Sprited Pokemon in the power plant, Nuke Gyarados, etc, or nuclear hordes. Hazma.

Apparently gift Pokemon aren't affected by the shiny charm, though.

So, you can't save before Urayne's long cutscene. But you can make Autosave save there if you're precise.

Turn Autosave on, set for 5 minutes. Then wait 5 minutes during the cutscene, and it will autosave right before Urayne joins you. Then you can soft reset without needing to redo the scene.

No way... you need an empty slot for Garlikid to show off his shiny colors.. I was soft resetting based on the nickname screen colors. If that's true.. man I have been wasting some time.

Hey, we all make mistake, so don't feel too awful about that mate. Now that you have that knowledge and more, you can shiny hunt all the Legendary Pokemon more efficiently now, so rejoice!!

Hurrah! Knowledge is power! And knowing is half the battle ~
I have been around for..... I want to say two plus years... I don't know time flies... but this thread is the first time I have heard of the auto-save feature. Was that added recently or awhile ago?

The autosave feature has been a thing since version 1.2.0 (a little over a year ago), but it has to be manually turned on and given a duration.  It triggers on a "map change" (i.e. entering/leaving a building, going between routes, etc.), which is how it can be used for Urayne...
As for Garlikid...

No way, that's amazing! Thanks for the tips Bailey! Man that blows my mind saves me a loooot of time. Does it offer a nickname screen or if I press the menu button will its sprite change to a shiny one when shiny?
