Thunder and I had a housewarming party this weekend. She met 8 new friends and enjoyed it. Then she got tired and cranky lol.

Sweet! Feels good to enjoy your home with company, especially when you had it built from the ground up just for you! What's a cranky Thunder like, though? Not very affable, I imagine, but hopefully not a nuisense/menace.

She barks more, to get your attention. And she pees more when she's cranky.

Will Thunder grow into a big dog, though, or will she remain a small size? I don't really know too much about dogs, other than a few select species of them.

How's the puppers doing, by the way? Training and care of her going well, I hope?

She'll be fairly sizable, but not gigantic. Her breed tops out at 55lbs for females.

She is doing very well with Sit, pretty good with Speak, and this week we're learning the crucial "Leave it!" (as in leave that alone).
Whenever I have friends over I get them to give her commands too, so she can get used to obeying any human.

She's learned to escape from her fenced-in yard, so I either need to reinforce that or just wait until she grows larger.

I also learned she is a natural Frisbee-chaser and retriever!

So a medium large dog? Perfect size for a canine, in my opinion. The too big and small ones always have diet and joint problems, from what I've heard, so I'm glad she'll not have to endure either!

Hmm....any other commands you're playing to teach her? Like searching, or scouting? What have you've told her to 'Leave it!' already? Anything dangerous, or messy?

Huh....are you afraid she'll be too social? That could be a problem, if a stranger comes along to cause trouble in your neck of the woods.....

Terrific! You'll have to show some pictures of that sometime, mate! Any other games you've tried out with her?

She's going to know a lot of commands. She wants to come to work with me and she can wear a backpack full of supplies. She can help search for plot designation pins. She can hold the sonic receiver which measures tree heights. She'll learn commands to go from tree to tree - I'm going to use traditional sheepdog commands like "Come by!" and "Away!"

She's a great learner so I'll teach her everything I can.

Thunder is microchipped so I can claim her if she gets stolen, plus I imagine she'll be loyal to me above all others since I feed her the most.

She likes to play puppy games like tug of war and destroy Iron's ankles. If I can get her to Leave It on my ankles that will be a great day.

She'll fetch a ball but I don't think she's ready for any game more complicated than that.

My dad's dog, Gita, is visiting. She's a big lazy husky. They spent the first 24 hours very nervous around each other, but now they are chasing each other around the tiny house. I booted them outside and they went and played in the mud.

The only problem now is they both want to eat the other's food instead of their own.
