I like the idea of (and actually suggested a few weeks back) being able to add additional filters to lessen the chance of getting a trade sniped. I had that happen to me the first time I used GTS -- I was trying to trade with someone who was about six hours off my time zone, and wound up getting my Pokemon sniped (luckily, I found the person who did it and was able to swap the 'mons back and continue with my original trade). I prefer to use direct trades now when possible, but sometimes -- like when the Lobby was down -- that's not an option.
A "Nature" filter, I could see happening easily. However... I'm not a programmer/coder, but I can imagine trying to set up an IV filter would be difficult... you wouldn't want to just say, for instance, 5IVs because the "off" IV could wind up with something you don't want (for instance, let's say you wound up with a Flager with a 0 Speed!). The only feasible way I can foresee doing that would be to have six different filters to specify what number you want for each IV... that would get complicated in a hurry!
Having said all that... I definitely think having the option to set a specific Online ID to your trade -- or select "any Online ID" if you really don't care who you trade with or what you get in return -- would be very helpful for people trying to trade across major time zone differences. And it doesn't sound like it would be that hard to do.
@PhantomUnderYourDesk I should be able to trade sometime tomorrow... I just picked up your Tracton at the Casino, now I just need to come up with a good nickname for it!
