The dozen Lumineon use a lot of team tactics to Confuse the foe. Their Confusion is more potent than normal, making it much more probable that their target hits themselves or a party member. Quite dangerous to use the Sword too much.

They are also fans of Double Team and taking cover.

They start by inflicting Toxic with their barbs. Beware, a physical sting has an interesting effect - at least one character gets stung during this battle. You choose!

Heart was focus one hundred percent in the battle. He equipped the helmet, feeling the flow of power flourish in his body. Two of the Lumineon see Heart as easy target, and try to hit him with Confusion...However, Heart was quick and precise in his action. He raise his hand, and a barrier appear before him, stoping the psychic attack.

The move he called was no other but Heart version of Wide Guard.

Heart loose no time and Mega Evolve Swampert, granting him full power. Netune the Swampert the begin the onslaugh using waves of Mud Slap like a Gattling Gun, trying to hit as many Poison enemies as possible. Eelektross, go in the physical combat, using his new receive moves. Using his claws things, he begin to deliver Crush Claws and Crunchs against the enemies, and making sure to not kill them trying to disperse the predator Lumineon.

Heart himself was not behind however. Using his new Earthpower abilities, he summon his own move, asking Lancelot his defense ability.

His eyes shiny with power, and both hands was raised. The soldiers, Nathan, Terra, Heart and each one of his Pokemon partners was protect by a powerful barriers.

"Nathan, if you gonna use that Sword, now it is the time! I will hold them off as much as I can! Use that sword to make Lumineon sushi!"

Heart look to Terra. "Brother! Dont worry about me! Focus in help Nathan!" In the middle of the chaos, a Lumineon try to attack again, but Heart summon another barrier, and from his hand, a Vine Whip was called, a power requested from Chespin, and with that, he use it to grab the Poison Lumineon and send to another place. "I trust you Terra!" And Heart focus again in maintain the barriers.

Up until the Leomineons decided to reveal themselves and actively hunt his group, Terra had mostly been non-chalantly swimming alongside everyone, taking in the beautiful and somewhat dangerous scenery of Bromeliad Bay with what appeared to be open fascination, curiosity, and a deep, deep nostalgia . Its been ages since he could explore a proper sea, and he wanted to enjoy every second while his friend was on the prowl for DIVE and signs of the Genesect Fossil.

Unfortunately, the aforementioned pointy and poisonous looking lion fish ruined that plan, causing the sagely monk to give the loot a glare so potent and withering it'd caused Onix to hesitate. Though he couldn't speak underwater like the young historian, he was a demonstrative man that knew how to perfectly convey himself to others on the battlefield or in the spotlight.

Case in point, the mountain of a man plucked Oinari's and Sari's Pokeballs and released them both with a single sweep of his thumb. The super mischievous fox, already aware of the situation due to observing it outside her ball and some creative use her Extrasensory powers, knew exactly what to do, appearing as the huge Tentacruel to the pack of finned Toxic terrors, giving the lot a look brimming with savage glee before unleashing a ROAR using the pseudo Artifact Frozen Roar she was holding! From there, the darkling acted swiftly, using Extrasensory on the few brave Leomineon remaining after her ROAR to give them one heck of a headache before having to return herself to her Ball, lest she drown in the deep blue. Hopefully what she done was enough to turn the tide of battle - and he partner's opinion of her. The sooner he forgave her for her prank, the sooner the two can start having fun with others, fu fu fu fu!

Sari, meanwhile, took a little coaxing from Terra before she rolled her eyes and gave him a curt nod before she darted in front of Nathan's Kingdra with uncharacteristic speed for her sloth species, constantly ready to intercept any and all Confuse capable attacks for it so that The Sword's power would not be turned against her. Then with a voluntary Curse that left her glowing with menacing power she stared down her foes with IMMENSE regal displeasure , unleashing a rapid series of Confusion on each and every foolish fish that remained. She hated when her magnificent personage was challenge by unworthy scoundrels, especially Poison ones after her run in with Giga Tentacruel (Whose's Oinari impression of causes her to briefly grimace before she recomposes herself) , so these Leomineons would know her wrath well by the end of this Fight. And perhaps one of them might even wise up and decide to serve her instead of throwing away their puny lives!!!

Regrettably, such a formidable duel assault by his 'trusted' partners was not enough to fully dissuade the finned toxic terrors to leave his friends well enough alone, as one of them looked at either Heart or Nathan spitefully, ready to shoot off a Toxic barb at them surging with a terrible concoction of chemicals he could only speculate their devastating effects. Not wasting a second of thought, Terra darted in between the Leomineon and his friend, taking the Toxic barb right in the chest that was meant for Nathan/Heart , his face screwing up as he instantly felt the effects of its toxins coursing throughout his body. Hopefully his superb Vitality and Steel Blessing can blunt its effects long enough for him to endure it for this fight before he gets it treated.....

The party manages to fend off all but one of the Lumineon as they approach, but that one gets into melee with Nathan and rears back with its barbed fins.

As soon as Terra heroically takes the stings, a swipe across his chest, he feels his breath catch in his lungs. Wheezing, he struggles to draw in air. It's like his lung capacity has decreased. Every breath is more work. In fact, his back seems a little more bent, too, and his joints ache a bit.

Terra ages by 10 years.

Terra ages by 10 years.

And Terra feels every bit of the age that Leomineon's chronological venom inflicted upon him! Ye Regis, it's like he hasn't exercised properly in WEEKS yet somehow run himself ragged!

Of course, even extremely onset aging isn't enough to keep the now more sagely monk down, as he scowls at the finned fiend with all the force and Intimidation of a LIVID Gyarados. That, combined with Sari rapidly rounding on it and sharing her own regal, royal, and wroth narrow-eyed glare , was (or should be) enough for it to flee the scene like its tail fins spontaneously combusted, leaving the rest of the group unmolested by it. The rugged wanderer lets out a bubbly *Siblub* of relief a few seconds afterwards, wincing a bit at how constricted his breath now was. Whatever that venom did to him, it sure as heck packed a punch....

It would be at this point he'd attempt to use an Antidote on himself to see if that cures it and shrugging any lingering side-effects off the best he can, not realizing yet that the toxic had a more lasting impact on him than just Poisoning. Oh boy, won't he be in for a surprise when someone tells him the news....

The relief within the young and fae-like woman that Ventus finds the most adorable descriptions for is very real when the empathic likewise dream-come-true understood and successfully dissuaded his noble Kingdra from making surimi sticks out of Giga Kingler; it's not visible right now but she's smiling as widely and joyously as a Chesire Cat right now, she's plain GLAD to have potentially saved a Pokemon's life here. Yes this very 'Mon acted mean and stuff, but Shiva herself provoked it by aiming to obtain something that was theirs. If she could do so comfortably and would be 100%ly certain about Ven not flinching away, she's totally hug and cuddle his heart out outta sheer joy, love and thankfulness. (ノ´ з `)ノ♡ Azu blows some bubbles and swims in a circle as the fae-rabbit joins in that rejoice, her smile towards Ven is a bright one brimming with joy. <3

What happens with this huuuuge crab now is completely within Ventus' hands. Shall he still wish to make a hearty meal outta it for himself and his carnivorous family members, he surely can, Shiva just doesn't wish to find out about it
(better not to prevent unnecessary drama).

A troop of Panpour led by a Simipour have descended the waving strands of kelp to watch you curiously. You have to snatch the stone up very quickly to avoid it falling into their curious hands. With Kingler caught, the monkey mons raid the mud castle for all its shinies and ascend back into the safety of the kelp.

While Ventus accepted and used the offered Ultra Ball to capture that defeated and mauled Kingler, Shiva and her dear loyal fae-rabbit make their way up to the top of the mud castle where that glittery Item rests. Since having learnt thanks to Heart that there's a unique Megastone for her dearest of all fluffballs, Shiva's heart was set on doing her best to obtain one for both Whimsi's and her own sake; and now that she's as close to that as EVER her heartbeat accelerates, it's beating to her neck, her smile is one that is just dripping with anticipitation, her mind can barely believe that what's happening is true.

Yet, as Shiva closes a hand around the smol round object in a dramatic slow-motion-motif, she is very aware that this is real and truely happening. Yes, this glittery round thing... It's definitely one of those sought-out stones that trigger a Mega Evolution, and that shade of green this particular stone has along with this pink swirl...?!
What makes Shiva the most certain however aren't the the colors nor the fact that she learnt its location from that Syrentide down the Ruin, but the raw and pure feeling of accomplishment that floods her veins as well as Whimsicott's Pokeball jiggling and wiggling as she plucks the stone from the castle. It's hers now!~ (SFX-cue 'Success!' from Pokemon Duel)

That moment doesn't last for too long though as Shiva's very adamant on NOT letting her new treasure fall into the monkey mon's hands, she immediately pockets it and waits until them to be done with their looting.

And then, taking the opportunity of those monkeys being gone and busy with examinating their totally not stolen goods, Shiva plucks and cuts as much of that thick and huge kelp as she can safely carry and bring back to the submarine. If she can't do that alone, she'll do so with her Pokemon's help, especially with the power of CUT it shouldn't be much of an issue. She gently presents that gathered kelp towards Ed and Rita: "I've gathered this at that very sandy cave you mentioned! ^0^ You said it's full of nutrients, isn't it, and that it contains the very same base material for vitamins, doesn't it? Do you create those yourselves?"

The gaze and smile Shiva gives them both conveys that if they do so on the island of Garlicburg, she wishes for them to create exactly 1 vitamin outta that kelp she gathered. I don't care which one (can roll that myself) Is that possible and doable, @Iron? Furthermore, obtaining that Megastone was/is an important chara goal for Shiva, is having achieved it worth any XP?

Nathan grips onto Kingdra firmly as the Lumineon circle around the group.  Both of them stare at the barbed fish intently.  Kingdra with nervous anticipation, Nathan with a calm, determined resolution.

"I've been in worse situations before, Kingdra.  Just blast them as you see them with Dragon Pulse.  I'll take care of any that get too close."

He readies the Sword, monitoring the predators' movements...

...and gives the order right before they strike, Badly Poisoning everyone's pokemon through Heart's Wide Guard (as WG does not provide immunity from status moves).  "...NOW!"  Nathan immediately uses an Antidote on Kingdra to cure the Toxic Poison.

This one time, Kingdra follows Nathan's lead, as the trainer is showing so much more confidence than the ruler of sky and sea.  Nathan guides Kingdra's strikes, watching their six for any fish trying to sneak up behind them, their sides for enemies trying to flank them.  Separate, they would fall.  Together, they are strong.

Kingdra rotates like a turret in the center of the action, launching energy blast after energy blast at the tricky and evasive fish.  One by one, they fall or flee, and with the assistance of Heart's Wide Guards and Sari's interceptions, Nathan thinks they have a good chance they might get out of this relatively unscathed after all.  Any that do get close, he slashes at with the Sword, the blade parting the water like a hot knife slicing butter.  Most of the Lumineon don't dare to get close to such a dangerous weapon.

But the final pair of Lumineon are bolder, and manage to find a gap in Heart's defenses.  Everything goes just wrong enough that it quickly spirals out of control.

Sari, Kingdra, and Heart's pokemon are all too busy attacking other Lumineon to notice the craftiest pair slip by the Wide Guards.

Their sudden appearance in front of them immediately Confuses Kingdra, and Nathan has to act fast.  He immediately uses a Persim Berry to cure Kingdra's Confusion before it becomes a problem.  "Stay focused, Kingdra!  We've got this!"

Kingdra, emboldened by the power of the Sword and Nathan's guidance, blasts one of the final two Lumineon with a point blank Dragon Pulse, blowing the fish back and causing them to spiral out of control until they collide with a clump of kelp that both cushions the collision and ensnares them.

The other Lumineon, however, darts behind Nathan while he's distracted with healing the winged seahorse.

Nathan doesn't see the barbed, frilly fish until it's right on top of him.

He tries to raise the Sword to deflect the coming blow, but even he can't react that quickly...

...and then mere moments later, Terra gets stung, and the incredibly powerful Poison can clearly be seen taking its toll.

"Terra!"

Nathan doesn't think.  He just reacts.

*schwing!*

...

...

...

Moments later, the Lumineon have all either scattered or fainted.

...or in the case of the final Lumineon, is laying on the seafloor, barely conscious and in immense pain.  A long, deep gash cutting across their side, one of their frilly fins torn and rendered practically unusable.

Nathan's breathing heavily as he tries to process what happened.  The Lumineon, they...and Terra just...and he...he...

...

Nathan briefly turns his gaze to the blade of the Sword, then back at the Lumineon.

The blade's bloody.  And it looks like Lumineon's blood, too.  "...oh no...no no no no...I...I didn't mean for that to..."

Did he really...?

Nathan stares at the bloodied blade a moment longer, breathing hard...

He looks at Terra, who also seems a bit winded, but...mostly seems fine, otherwise?  Maybe?

...Nathan decides to check on Lumineon first.  He swims over to them and looks at the wound...

...he's not sure he can treat it.  Not underwater.

So he does the only thing he can think to do that might help in this situation.

He gets out an Ultra Ball.  If he catches Lumineon, the Pokemon Center can get them proper treatment for that wound much more quickly than he would be able to.  He just hopes that there's enough time to save them...

The only question is: how many tries does it take Nathan to capture this fish and get them treatment for his mistake, @Iron?

-----------------------------------------------------

Afterwards, Nathan swims over to Terra to check on him.  "...are you okay?"

Heart did his best to keep using his barriers to protect everyone...however, more and more attacks coming from those Lumineon was becoming more and more difficult to handle. His barriers was begining to drip poison since it cant protect from Status. But they manage to defeat his enemies.

When he see Terra get hurted and aged for a split second he lost concentration. "TERRA!" That was the moment of weakness that Lumineon take opportunity. But Nathan Sword was able to deal against the Poisonous Fish. On a moment of rage, Heart almost decided to launch a Discharge, and fry ALL those enemies. But then he remember they were in salty water, so he focus again in make barriers.

After the battle was over, Heart rush toward Terra. He was equipped with the Helmet. "Dont move Terra. I think I can heal you. I can do it!" Heart then close his eyes, and his hands shiny with power, trying to eliminate the thing who make Terra age in 10 years.

Did Heart be able to break Terra Curse @Iron?

Nathan's not the only one taken aback by their instinctual backlash against the Lumineon, as Terra looked shocked in between grimacing from the finned fiend's toxic at his friend nearly cutting them down. Both by the very act itself, and the fact that they did it, who normally had a huge (and some might say exorbitant) amount of love/respect for the sanctity of Pokemon life. The fact they reacted so strongly to him being Poisoned was a harrowing experience for the mountain of a man - if not also a great deal humbling too.

Too stricken by the chronological Toxin of the Leomineon and its near Lethal end, the more sagely monk could only watch Nathan access the injuries they inflicted upon the fish and struggle to recover and treat his affliction.

Sari, however.....

Well, now that the action was over and she had taken her own assessment of things, the magnificent monarch was not pleased what happened to their loyal servant and occasional adviser. Not in the slightest. Though not entirely well bonded and close to Terra, the sparkling queen still took a dim view on him having a great deal of their life practically erased in a instant by their aggressive and malicious assault (given her species intelligence and Psychic sense, she'd realize what happened to him), even if he did bring it entirely on himself. Say what you will about her regal, snooty attitude and condescension towards others, but Sari knew and appreciated those she valued - most especially the one that elevated her into her unique and elite status and position - and therefore loathed those that undermined them in anyway.

So when Nathan looks prepared to try and Capture the abnormal Lumineon, Sari intervenes, darting right between him and it with a small but markedly displeased frown on her face, making a sweeping gesture with one of her arms and shaking her head. The boy may have laid low the blight aquatic monster, but it had made a serious and grave attack against her adviser, and by extension to herself. She demands retribution for its transgressions , and she was not about to let the young man completely absolve that from them thereof and deny them (her and Terra) that.

(The scene with Terra can wait while this one is resolved. I hadn't planned on it happening, but hey, you've inspired me to make it!)

Nathan keeps it brief, staring directly into the Slowking's eyes.  "Sari, move.  There's no time for this.  I'll deal with them myself later.  Just let me fix my mistake.  This...this shouldn't have happened..."

Nathan's serious about this.  He doesn't entirely approve of their actions either, but he also doesn't think Lumineon deserves to be left to die because of what it did.

Sari evenly returns their stare with narrowed eyes of her own, and its all to apparent she doesn't quite see eye to eye about how he wants to handle things. Heck, its probably clear enough that she thinks what they inadvertently did to it was a well deserved happy accident by her actions and attitude, so them trying to no doubt undo that punishment and take away her right to give one of her very own to it was not well received.

Then her gaze drifts to the bloodied Sword in his grip. She takes a good long look at it, a for a second it appears that she was having second thoughts about her opposition towards its wielder, before she suddenly scowls at it and then them in quick succession, and once more firmly shakes her head, and curtly turns her back on him, preparing herself to swiftly enact her own justice on the finned fiend....or perhaps being struck down herself by Nathan.  No, no, she will not be cowed or swayed on this matter, not even if the boy tries to enforce his will and authority on her with that damn Artifact of his. The life reaping they inflicted upon her adviser was far too great of a crime for her to overlook or let others pass judgement on in her place, so she will have her vengeance upon it, or force them to do unto her what they did to it and take the full burden, responsibility, and her future grudge for what happened.....
