1: years ago... nearly 25 now... when I first looked at Pokémon Red/Blue.... As a fan of Godzilla movies... I... made a type chart similar to the Pokemon one.. but for monster types in Godzilla. One of which was Nuclear. 'cause... Godzilla. I don't actually remember the entire list. I might have it on an old notebook somewhere... maybe.

2: As someone who's played a variety of monster collecting games.... making one that uses ideas from other games appeals to me a lot. So what ideas would those be?

Monster Rancher: play mini-games as training. MR has a tiredness meter as a limiter, but that's tied into the time system it uses. for Pokemon I'd balance just by making it take longer than fights. Also, a lot of Digimon game lean on "finding" new monsters and not catching them. But... Pokemon already has that for special monsters. eggs as loot in certain special encounters would be neat though.

Dragon Quest Monsters: this is weird in that it has a very different idea of what equipment items should DO. DQM is an offshoot of a JRPG series with a very... traditional JRPG sense of what gear does. So DQM follows that. It has stuff like +5 defense on held items, and -20% water damage. It runs hardcore on the idea of recruiting, but recruiting isn't always story events or catching monsters, you can on rare occasions find monster eggs as loot. That tied in with randomized terrain generation, which is something some pokemon games have the idea of, but don't actually run with. The things you might get eggs from weren't actually repeatable. in DQM2 at least they had a randomized system that basically generated random dungeons to loot, each only can be looted once. But you can just get another magic key and loot that too. These had randomized monster tables and often had monsters you can't find in story mode worlds. Sometimes even villages with useful items to buy.

Digimon - famous for long evolution chains, and also branching. One Digimon game I played basically only had 6 base forms of Digimon in it. all the over 100 Digimon in the game were evolutions of those 6 base forms. I wouldn't go over 3 stages in evo lines, but yeah, branched evos in Pokemon are pretty cool.

Robopon - has a vERY different idea of what 'mons even ARE. Since it leans on the robot angle, and... has you actually modify the Robopon. One such modification.. can actually change the element of a Robopon. perhaps changing fire to water, or whatever. This is in some ways reminiscent of how nuclear types work, but.. isn't a separate unique type, just.. a random mutation. Randomly changing Pikachu to a bug type would probably kinda suck actually. BUT also... Robopon in the original didn't have Robopon LEARN moves at all. combat abilities are 100% equipped gear. the chassis has the base stats, and little else. Also each Robopon has a weapon. Most you can customize by changing the weapon, but while weapons have a very small variety of effects.. they can give BIG stat changes and weapon choice drastically effects combat strategy. But in terms of type usage, you can give any Robopon any type of software you want. So changing types at random isn't as big a deal as you can just.. give it appropriate software.

D&D Monster: Dragonflesh Forged

Howdy Uranium community! How you all doing? I been doing good. I have been dming my own D&D campaigh, and people...its been wild. I might soon shared some of the stories that been happened with my players and me.

I might soon shared the plot and the setting here in the forums, but right now, I want to show you all one of my creations: The Dragonflesh Forged! Basically a humanoid who suffer experiments in the hands of evil Dragons in my campaigh called "Obsidian Dragons", a type of evil dragon with scales similar to a obsidian stone, and who also have Psionic Abilities.

Those Dragonflesh Forged were humanoid slaves who receive experiments in the hands of the Obsidian Dragons to be used as a main source of militar battle on a great war in my campaigh called "Obsidian War" who last for 300 years, and only end 30 years ago. Those beings could only be command by Obsidian Dragons, and when their masters was either killed or seal away, the Dragonflesh fleed, hiding either in the dark places, or hunting in the wild. They became animals, but with a rather limit level of a human, but very limited. They are like beasts and killing machines. And in certain events, they can evolve and become Dragonflesh Abominations, a more complete form as a dragon. There gonna be soon a stat block of this creature. You can use it in your table, or make any modifications you want!

Documenting my process of learning digital drawing

As the title says. I'm Phantom, and I've been drawing ever since I can remember. It doesn't feel exaggerated if I'd call this the hobby of mine that I enjoy most and am most passonate about... (>//<) When I lack proper words to describe my emotions I can still express them in drawings, there's vent art and colouring books for adults to calm down, one can create own characters, stories and even universes on some empty sheets of paper - and there's fan art of course! The internet and social media are like an endless gallery, people can share their artworks and other can admire/critique/draw inspiration from them.

I've been specializing in traditional art using pencils, markers and qualitative crayons and developed some ort of own drawing style, I like interesting details and vivid colours. But there's one thing I never really got the hang of...

...it's digital art!

Decided a while ago that I kinda want to teach myself to draw (or at least color) digitally autodidacticly though, as the effects one can achieve are one of their kind and it's much easier to redo something if having messed up (as in 'just hit CRTL+Z'). And I can experiement with palettes and colors, that too. After all, there are free and great(!)drawing programs available for download, tutorials on work steps and tricks, and there's EeveeBailley's Creator's Collective Discord where other artists gather that I can ask for help if stuck. ☆(◕‿◕)

This thread shall be like an open diary where I can and wish to document that learning process of mine a little.

Good day/night/afternoon, depending of your country! How things are going? Been a while since I post something. Since I got some free time, I decided to write a little story who was been lurking in my mind for a while. Been a few years since I write a fanfic, and I feel the inspiration in make it.

Anyway, a little alert: The below story is not for those below 16 years. So, if you have less than 16 years, avoid read the following story. There is some disturbing scenes and some blood, so please avoid read at all costs.

Tander Buizel and some other sketches

I had a little free time to do some doodling and decided to make some Tandor forms of official Pokemon that are located in the Tandor region for fun ~

First is Tandor Buizel a Grass/Water-type. Buizel faces fierce competition from local Feleng and Lotad to the point of near extinction, causing Buizel to relocate into more forested areas and away from the beachfront. In the forest, Buizel faces less competition giving them a more relaxed nature. They are often seen floating from place to place rather than jet propelling around. They are often seeing floating around like a lily pad on the water's surface soaking in sunlight. Moss is starting to grow on its back.

Honestly, I have no information on this one just thought it would be fun to draw. Only thing is the moss is fully grown to make a cape of moss.

(No idea on typing for these two) Gligar in the Tandor region are now adapted to their new cave environment rather than the outdoors of the past. Tandor Gligar has smaller eyes with larger ears in order to find prey. They prey upon Tonemy in caves by using their long tails to constrict them while their new scalpel claws are used to remove the poison sac out the Tonemy for safe consumption. Their claw feet allow them to stay on cave ceilings above the nests Tofurang in order to prey upon the young Tonemy while also being safe from Tofurang (since it can not fly).

Gliscor in Tandor are among the apex cave predators in the Tandor region located deep within the depths of the cave. They have no eyes and solely rely on echolocation to find their prey. Gliscor being located deep in caves no longer have the need for flight preferring to walk on the ground instead, making them more bulky for direct physical fights. They prefer mischief to actual fighting despite their dominance in the food chain.

I think different regional forms was one of the best additions in the recent pokemon games and would love to see this team's interpretations of the official pokemon in tandor. Might do more of these or color in the other three if I get some more free time. Thanks for looking and have a good day ~

Since I've been doing a lot of digital artworks lately, I figured I'd post them here. It's basically an art dump of sorts--and yeah, I actually did some Uranium fanart that wasn't Owten or Nucleon, hah. That one's actually meant to be a nod to Emdsache for his awesome work on the OST.

Been drawing kemonos/furries since January of this year, but got my tablet at the end of April. It's a lot of fun~

Might as well post some of the traditional works I did before I got the tablet (digital is so much easier for me because of my poor eyesight).

Bumbling around and figuring things out on my own has been far more effective as a learning approach than taking art classes or poring over tutorials. It's the same with my music and photography, and will be the same with music once I start that.

Skull Ruins Side story

In some place with style of year 50' a strange looking man was writing something in some kind of notebook with a old pen. He have tattoos in form of flames around his arms, a shirt in black and jeans a little old to him. He also have a black hair but some locks in his hair have a tone of black red, almost like they burned in intense flames. And his eyes...eyes with a ambers colors mixed with brown like chocolate burned in embers. His eyes was now focused in his notes, vigorous writing.

Day 69 from the year 1960
Been a while I wrote in this old book of mine. After so many crazy adventures meeting Legendary Bugs, aliens and helping save a region from evil vines, and literally traving though time and space, I would never about write all these past events. Or should I say future events? Its so confusing this time travel thingies. Anyway, this writing is for more than just simple a diary. But this registers is for the future generations. For the future generations of the ArcHearts. We were once a strong clan, with a importante task gave to us to Arceus itself. But...we exist no more, and I am the last one. I hope to achieve my personal mission in restore our clan someday as my main goal, and these notes is for you youngling ArcHeart.

But in case I failed in my mission...if I die in my journey though my journey, these diary, notes and everything inside will belong to the people I called friends and companions: Ventus Zackary, Shiva, Nathan Warren and Terra. They have travel with me for a long time and I dont trust more than anyone else these secrets than these four people.

Now where I should begin...oh sure. The Old Great War of Kalos from more or less three thousand years ago. In the old times there was a great battle between many regions of our world. Pokemon vs Pokemon. Human vs Human. Brother vs Brother. The fields was bath in the blood of many lost lifes. In that war, the great King of Kaos lost his precisous pokemon, a Floette who die in that unecessary war. In his grief, he create a machine who use the energy of many pokemon in hope to bring back his precious pokemon. He succeed and Floette have returned. But the King hold a great hate to the world who take away his precious pokemon and he remade the machine in the form of a weapon. He unleash the power of that weapon, who causes a massive destruction, killing all kinds of living beings: Human, Pokemon and even a great portion of nature itself. So many lifes was lost.

Floette was sad and heart broking in see his friend do such horrible things, and he abbandoned him. The King fall in despair in loose his precious friend once again. And this time he couldnt blame the world, but only himself. After that...he simple disappear. No one knows what kind of fate fall to the broken king. Some say he suicide himself in grief for his sins. Others say he find a way to achieve immortality and wander though the world, paying for his crimes and in search of his dear Floette. No one really knows.

Only thing is know: The Ancient Great War ended, but chaos still run the land. Bandits. Tyrants. Greed. Hate. All kinds of misfortune run though the lands of the seven regions. Evil still stronger than ever. And the world with wounds and scars who would exist for many eras until today. Hope was only a pittiful dream.

But fate its something funny you know? No hero is born, but they made by life and choices. In a tiny of the cold region of Sinnoh, in a tiny and insignficant nameless village, someone would born and together with others, would change his own fate, and leave behind a legacy who would exist until today.

In that moment the tattoo man find someone. A person who was writing something too, but with eyes with will to battle. The man smiled and write again.

Guess I have to tell that story later. I find someone to battle too. I still have a few things to finish here. Typhon and Meowth would indeed love to have someone to battle and sharp their skills. And this is a good chance to get some extra money. Be a pokemon trainer its not a easy life. Welp, I tell the story later! Off I go ;P

Then Heart stand up and go in the direction of the man, eager to battle.

chapter 4

Back story
Written by Joseph Michael Neisser age 9 (Oct 2017)

Two Dittos were in a bag and the bag was thrown out. The bag rolled down a hill and into a coffee bean warehouse. The bag got ripped on the edge of one shelves causing the shelf of bags of beans to fall on top of the two escaped Pokémon. The dittos decided to eat their way out.
Twenty years later there were 320 creatures that were the color of coffee. The warehouse was empty the creatures left the building in search of something to eat. As they moved through the forest they smelled coffee. They went as fast as they could to the source of the smell. The creatures found there was beings in the way of the food so they attacked to get at the food.
In one coffee shop a boy was enjoying a cake and juice when these creatures started attacking. He pulled out the pokedex that he was given a week ago. He pointed at one of the creatures and it said no information.  Michael noticing no one could drink any coffee or any drink. Threw one of his empty pokeballs at one. One vanished inside. One light, two lights then a flash of light. And the creature got loose. There was screaming and people and creatures all over the place. Professor Ash walked around the corner with an expresso in his hand. In the mix of all the moving creatures and people the expresso got knocked out of his hand.
Michael walked up and said Professor Ash have you ever seen anything like this before the pokedex did not know anything. The professor said no and they are much too fast for your normal pokeballs. Use this one handing him a pokeball with yellow markings. Professor Ash turned and looked at his Pokémon that was sitting on his shoulder and said Pikachu help him out. As the creatures had left that coffee shop things started calming down. Michael heard one of the workers there say they ate all of the coffee beans. Professor Ash said we need to catch one so, I can study it. Michael left just as Officer Jenny was arriving.
As the two of them caught up with a few of the creatures coming out of a small shop and more than a few people yelling as well. Michael said Pikachu use quick attack and iron tail to slow one down. The Pikachu went quickly a lot quicker than is normal of Pikachu. Michael said I know he was fast but that fast wow! The creature noticed Pikachu and moved even quicker and caused Pikachu to miss. Making a quick adjustment went again and was just not quick enough. Michael and Pikachu started chasing the group all over the city while trying to avoid cars and trucks. They followed a few into the library and while dodging falling shelves and books. Michael stepped on a book. The book moved causing him to fall. He looked at what caused him to fall and saw it was a book on Pikachu. He quickly read the page that it was open to. The Librarian walked up and asked are you a trainer? Michael said yes Professor Ash asked me to catch one of those creatures so he could study it. She said they all went out the back door after eating all the coffee in the place. Michael and Pikachu ran out the door and into a park.
They managed to get one trapped in the playground equipment. Seeing that it would not remain that way for long Michael told Pikachu to use Volt Tackle. The little mouse uses the move and gets hurt but makes it back to Michael who looks and notices the creature dealing with paralysis. Michael throws the pokeball he was given and it hits the creature. The creature disappeared and one light, two lights, three lights.

Michael picked up the ball and carrying Pikachu headed to Professor Ash's Lab. He was walking and saw a sign that read Professor Oak's Lab this way. Michael said we need to let the Professor know that this sign is here and wrong. Pikachu moved a bit almost like saying No. Michael suddenly stopped and looked at the little mouse he was carrying. He asked you can understand me? Pikachu jumped down and started moving toward the lab.
As they both got to the door Professor Ash opens it and looks at Pikachu and says your hurt as he picks up the electric mouse. Michael says the book said that Pikachu can use volt tackle and it would and it did cause paralysis. Ash said that is true but you missed the part where it causes Pikachu to receive one third of the damage. Michael said I didn’t know that as they were walking into the lab. Ash put Pikachu in this device and started it up and said Michael I am not upset but this friend of mine is older than any of his kind. He was my very first Pokémon in fact I got him in this very lab. Michael looked at the little mouse and asked how? Professor Ash answered and said we really don’t know. Michael said maybe that is why he understood me about that sign. But how did he move that fast? Ash just smiled and said we are getting old but we can still move when we need to can't we buddy? Pikachu just looked and said Pikachu. After a couple of minutes, the machine made a sound and Pikachu was let out and climbed up the Professor's arm and sat on his shoulder. Professor Ash said now I take it that between the two of you, you caught one? Michael said Yes Professor as he handed over the ball. Ash said ok come on out you so we can find out what you are as he activated the ball. The creature appeared and looked around a bit it found the open window and made a high-speed dash for it. It got out the window before anyone was able to react. As everyone ran out of the door after it, the creature made a sound Michael said a lot of them made that sound. Ash replied it sounds like Feine and it was eating the coffee beans maybe caffeine. Meanwhile the tauros that had been peacefully eating started running around everywhere.   This startled a lot of the other Pokémon that live at the Lab. Within a few moments Michael saw more Pokémon than he ever knew of. The Caffeine creature ran off away from the Lab grounds and with the help of a Bulbasaur things calmed down. The phone rang and Ash said good job buddy I will be right back. Michael asked the Bulbasaur are you the Professor's as well? Pikachu and Bulbasaur both looked at each other and made the sounds they make almost speaking to each other. Bulbasaur then walked off as Professor Ash walked out and said Michael go down to the store seems our caffeine Pokémon have started causing a problem there. Michael said professor do the Pokémon talk to each other or just yours. Ash replied they do and he smiled just watch for ones that speak human they can make life interesting.
The Professor tossed the same pokeball at Michael and said go catch that one again and keep your eyes open on what it does. This will tell us a lot about it. Michael caught the ball and ran toward the store. He said I wonder how the Professor learned so much about Pokémon.  As he got to the store the metal doors were down and Michael was walking closer and an older woman was walking by and said sonny you don't want to go in there, there is about 320 crazy Pokémon in there.  Michael replied madam Professor Ash has asked me to catch one.  She smiled and said that’s my boy and she walked off. Michael noticed a Mr. Mime catching up with her and helping her. Michael went up to the metal door and banged on it trying to find out if anyone was inside.

From behind him he heard a voice says Prepare for trouble! Michael said Joseph Not now I don’t have time for you. Joseph said you ruined our introduction how dare you? Michael said as he was hitting the door I don’t have time for your Uni stuff today go away. Joseph said stuff you! and for your information I was here to catch some rare Pokémon not to deal with you. But you will pay. A voice from inside says come to the back door these creatures are knocking over everything. Michael and Joseph walk to the back of the building and see people running out. As the two enter Michael says you can't catch them with a normal ball. Joseph said does this look like a normal ball to you holding a black and red ball in his hand. This man walks up and said are you two trainers? Michael nods. They are led to this door and they both slide in.
Joseph seeing the 6-foot-tall dual armed roasted coffee colored creatures moving around and eating everything asked how do they see out of that one eye, depth perception needs. Michael said that is one thing Professor Ash will look into. Joseph ran at one of the creatures that were nearby drinking soda that had spilled. As he did he called out his Meowth telling it to do a scratch attacks. The little cat appeared and with claws out went at one of the creatures. The bunch of creatures all moved very quickly avoiding the attacks and there was at least 20 dark pulse aimed at the spot that the meowth landed. Joseph dived trying to protect his pokemon and got hit with the dark pulse. Joseph got slammed in the back driving his head into one of the shelving units that had fallen. Michael said return and aimed the ball at the creatures and one did disappear into it. He quickly placed the ball into the pouch on his belt and ran over to check on Joseph. The meowth had gotten out from under him and was saying in human Joey boy wake up. You didn’t need to do that come on wake up. Michael said you can talk? As he got down to look at Joseph. The Meowth replied so could my parent so what, you hurt him I will hurt you. I know you ... Michael said look this is not the time and while Joseph and I don’t agree I don’t want him hurt. We need to get him out of here. Gastly get out here and help keep those caffeine creatures away while I get him out of here. The ghost got a smile on its face and flew over and started licking the creatures. Michael half picked up and half dragged Joseph to the door. When they got Joseph outside the building the manager went and called for medical help. As it got there Professor Ash and a few more trainers arrived. He said Michael what happened? Michael said Gastly is licking them. As the party rushed in expecting problems they found most of the creatures stopped still. Michael said they can use dark pulse and Joseph got hit protecting his meowth who can talk human. The other trainers stopped and looked at Michael. Professor Ash said ok quick everyone uses these and pulled out of a bag some green and white balls. All the trainers including Michael grabbed and tossed the balls at the creatures and after a few moments had them all. Once they were all caught every one of the green balls were returned to the bag. Michael followed the trainers out of the building after having Gastly return. He walked out just as Professor Ash was telling the other trainers that he thanked them for the help.

Michael follows Professor Ash to his lab and once the green balls are all put into this one machine and it is turned on. Ash turns to Michael and says ok now let me guess Joseph has a talking meowth. Michael replied yes it said that its parent could also talk human. Ash smiled and said so that is where he went and smiled. Michael listen Joseph's parents well let's just say had a talking meowth and tried to get my Pikachu more than a few times. Now those creatures well we need to find out more about them all the ones in the green balls will and have been transported to a holding area they won't get out. If you let me study the one you got you will be able to keep it. Michael pulled out the special ball and handed it to the Professor.
Professor Ash put it in a different machine and turned it on after a few minutes of noise it stopped. After a few bits of typing on a computer. The Professor said yes. Yes. Ok. Michael said Professor? Ash turned to him and said well that pokemon is the fastest ever. You have heard of Deoxys? Michael nodded as he had heard the stories of that alien pokemon. Ash said well this guy can move faster. And looks like attack is nearly at the same level. Seems this guy has the same amount of health as Zapdos and the other legendary birds. The Professor grabbed the ball and carried it to a special room that had no open windows. After the door was shut he aimed the ball at the center of the room and said caffeine come on out. With a bit of light, the creature appeared in the middle of the room Professor said now Michael you need to go talk to him. The both walked up to the creature and Ash said ok now he is normal and dark type at level 10.  You need to talk to him and get to be friends. Michael looked the pokemon in the eye and said slow down no one is going to hurt you. We want to be your friend. Professor why is he not moving as fast as before? Gastly did not get this one Ash said no the machine would have noticed that if I had to guess it is the coffee wore off. Professor Ash reached up and rubbed the creature's head and said Michael do the same it seems to like this. As Michael was doing it Ash left and walked back in with some pokemon food and handed it to Michael who fed it to his pokemon and Ash said ok seems I was correct a caffeine pokemon. You can train it but unless you want that speed, and I would advise against it, no coffee. Michael returned the pokemon to the ball and said Professor is it ok if I start on my journey now? Ash replied by law you will have to wait until your 18th birthday now that is two days away. As you know I let you have Gastly early as you are a better than most kids your age.  Wait two more days then head to Cerulean gym while there say hello to Misty for me ok.
