RE: [Meta Thread] Dragonstrike's Pokerole Test Game: Mount Coronet Mystery - Lord Windos - 01-30-2020 Question: Is that Orange Haired Woman on the shore next to the Stairs for the Floor, or are the Left or Right shore (using the picture's as the main reference) ? 'Cause I don't think I need to tell anyone Ran will be making a b-line to the woman, damn the Stair being right there. That, and I want to wait at least an Encounter's worth of time so that Kee/Karen/Kokgeki have their Encounters at their section of the Floor. Question 2: Will investigating/checking out the OHW take up an Encounter? I don't particularly care if it does, but if it doesn't I'll have to find something IC justifiable for Ran to do that would delay him from taking the Stairs after resolving that situation, so that I don't interfere with the others Encounters by rushing to the next Floor. RE: [Meta Thread] Dragonstrike's Pokerole Test Game: Mount Coronet Mystery - Dragonstrike - 01-30-2020 (01-30-2020, 12:42 PM)Lord Windos Wrote: Question: Is that Orange Haired Woman on the shore next to the Stairs for the Floor, or are the Left or Right shore (using the picture's as the main reference) ? Espeon's back is currently turned to the group. It does! Each room's events will typically take only one encounter in total. The stairs tile, however, is just an indicator that you've reached the end of the floor when you've finally reached it. Tiles that have been visited already may or may not count as additional encounters at my discretion if they are revisited. Now I can post without worrying about the details now, hooray! Hmm....which means its probably more efficient for which ever group runs into a dead-end to sit around their until the other group finds the Stairs for a Floor OR the other group also gets dead-ended, in which case both groups start retracing their steps however much is necessary. Not very fun, but unless the old tiles get radical refreshes or big changes on revisit, it's just going to be a wasted Encounter for whatever group waltz back into them (If it does eat up an Encounter), which builds their Exhaustion gauges and forces them to be put on a delay while the other group is actively exploring their given tile(s). In situations like those, depending on the context of the situation, I'd likely either... a) say that traversing old tiles doesn't take an encounter (as the major events there have already been dealt with) b) think of some new encounters for the old tile(s) I don't want a group to be sitting around with nothing to do, as that isn't very fun for them. Not many of the tiles are outright dead ends without me saying so, but I'll account for them as best as I am able when they do show up. As for exhaustion...well, I'll talk about that later in the dungeon. RE: [Meta Thread] Dragonstrike's Pokerole Test Game: Mount Coronet Mystery - Spiritmon - 01-30-2020 Phantom, are you thinking what I thinking? They probably are not, so what's the plan you got for approaching the sea serpent? If nothing else, I'M curious to know! Serpent Pokemon? Lights circling around its body? Size of a Sea Monster? I suppose you and I kinda already have a good idea the identity of this Pokemon. About plan...I do not know. If that thing is what I think it is, then Team K might gonna have trouble if this thing decide to play enemy with us. But...HOW this thing is here of all places? Oof, I'm not quite sure what you are thinking, but I'm sure what I am thinking: Get ahold of some of that sparkly stuff down the sea no matter what. Size of a Sea Monster? To clarify, it's only the scales on its tail that are sparkling, and only when they're touched by what little light reaches to the depth the pokemon is swimming at. Methinks you're thinking of a faaaaarrrr different pokemon that would have a lot more visual clues than what I described already. RE: [Meta Thread] Dragonstrike's Pokerole Test Game: Mount Coronet Mystery - Dragonstrike - 01-30-2020 Added/corrected a few details about the woman's description, @Lord Windos. |
