RE: The New Tandor Casual League 2.0 - keybrdkid09 - 12-10-2016 Amongst those of us League Members who are on the TCL Discord, we had an informal vote about whether to open the League soon, or after CodySP's team implements whatever fixes to the system they need to in order to make online battles workable. The vote was overwhelmingly in the favor of not opening until after the problem has been addressed. I however, provided the sole 'official' dissenting vote. My reasoning is: officially, I vote we open anyway. since we have always had this problem in the League, the Rule of Two will work if we choose to let it work. This is not the first time the League has gone into Open Beta. Unless all the glitches ended up being on the gym leader side. Then we might need to re-examine it. (But that is not license to make it a forced evaluation. haha.) Unofficially, I would agree to a hold on the opening if I had some guarantee that the fix would be implemented by a specific point. But seeing as we do not, I can't really support keeping the League closed indefinitely. And the League really isn't that important to Uranium as a whole to warrant a specific deadline. So for now, we could be fielding challengers and promoting the league anyway, while the problem is being addressed by CodySP and the Uranium Team. that being said, it appears I am outvoted. haha. so I guess we can hold off. But I personally would put a cap on the length of time. Say no more than a few months. I suggest Spring Break as a general time proposal. If, at that point, the problem with the Battling system has not been fixed, we open anyway. Or we simply forego the waiting period and opening relatively soon. Its up to you all. I take your opinions into consideration. And right now its like a 7/8 vote in favor of closing until the problem is addressed (minus those of you who haven't voted yet-Iron, Polaris ect. But I assume Iron is in favor of closing until the problem is fixed.) -Key RE: The New Tandor Casual League 2.0 - Polaris - 12-10-2016 Personally, I don't know how available I'd be for live battles. I'm ready to go with the VT system, but I don't have a lot of time for games (I haven't played Uranium for a few months now ). VTs work for me because the gym isn't supposed to be impossible to beat and is level-limited.
RE: The New Tandor Casual League 2.0 - Iron - 12-10-2016 It would be possible to have a VT only system, but you'd have to market it as a gym challenge and not a championship challenge. Don't want to give a false impression. It's already possible to look up our ID's in the spreadsheet and fight our gyms at any time. Whether or not that is promoted doesn't really matter to me. RE: The New Tandor Casual League 2.0 - SmokedMemes - 12-19-2016 I'm so sorry to show up out of the blue, this is probably closed or this is late and it's all filled up buuut can i sign up for being a gym leader? A heat themed one? it would be cool. thanks. RE: The New Tandor Casual League 2.0 - Pokemonerd25 - 12-19-2016 We are still accepting gym leaders. Contact Key with your idea and ask for approval. Nice to see you here, Smoked. A heat themed one? it would be cool. thanks. Yes welcome SmokedMemes. We are indeed accepting applications for Gym Leaders. The League is on more of a 'hiatus' until such time as either the League agrees to re-open prior to a live battling fix; or a live battling fix is implemented by the Uranium Team; or the League decides unilaterally to make use of the VT system. That being said, as Iron has already pointed out, it is possible to search our VT's for those of us League Members who have VT gym's already set up, and battle them at your leisure. The League does reserve the right to veto any idea it deems as a potential crossover or otherwise a problem. For example, if the idea you come up with has too much in common with another gym currently rostered, or an Elite Four team ect. it can be called into question. We will either ask you to modify your idea so that it does not conflict, or, if the idea cannot be modified, to pick a new one. Please see page 1 for some general rules. Any other questions a League member or myself can help you with. Generally, a team of 6 pokemon is needed, along with a suggested challenger level, and and Gym Virtual Trainer. IV's allowed, and held items also allowed. No pokemon duplicates, 1 psuedo legendary allowed, Lanthan Actan Urayne are banned per League consensus. When you are ready with a team, fill free to post here or PM me. Thanks. Happy training. -Key RE: The New Tandor Casual League 2.0 - crulla - 12-20-2016 Adding a bit to Key's post, you should make a Discord account. It was (un)spokenly decided that Discord will be the main form of communication, as PM is extremely inefficent RE: The New Tandor Casual League 2.0 - SmokedMemes - 12-20-2016 Wait, actually, i'm really sorry, but something came up, plus i only have 3 pokemon ready to go for the gym team, so i'm gonna have to drop out, sorry :/ RE: The New Tandor Casual League 2.0 - Pokemonerd25 - 12-20-2016 Too bad, can't you get some others? RE: The New Tandor Casual League 2.0 - Spiritmon - 12-20-2016 Well if you need something Smoke i can deliver some pokemon to make your gym. You can breed to make something cool. |
