Earthquake would be VERY dangerous to use. Obviously, since EVERYONE IS CURRENTLY TRAPPED IN AN EASILY COLLAPSIBLE MINE, @Spiritmon . Ran would kill the ninja if they actually used the Move in there, or do a good enough job until the rest stop him! RE: [Meta Thread] Dragonstrike's Pokerole Test Game: Mount Coronet Mystery - Dragonstrike - 02-15-2020 (02-15-2020, 07:48 PM)Spiritmon Wrote: Aside from most decisions and...cut content (read: lies) Dynamex it's a kinda interesting mechanic, but way to much overpowered to the point is banished in certain competition, and can only be used in the story in places able to Dynamex like the Gyms. Let's not hate on Gamfreak and Nintendo in this thread, please. On the point of Dmax being OP, it's only really overpowered in Singles. It's actually a lot more balanced in Doubles from what I've heard. And of course, it's perfectly fine in Single Player content. Dmax Karp isn't actually all that dangerous, btw. It's still a Magikarp. Its stats are still terrible. RE: [Meta Thread] Dragonstrike's Pokerole Test Game: Mount Coronet Mystery - PhantomUnderYourDesk - 02-16-2020 Quote:IF I used stuff from Gen 8, it would mostly be new moves and pokemon that were introduced in it. Funnily enough, one of them would actually be something Roxie would probably be interested in personally: a punk rock themed pokemon called Toxtricity. Or maybe the TRs, since you've already given a TR of Leaf Blade to me that doesn't exist in any Gen. before. These code some weird moves sometimes. Ohhhh, Toxtricity I know, THAT's actually cool 'Mon that fit her indeed well! That, and maybe an Obstagoon because Gene Simmons. RE: [Meta Thread] Dragonstrike's Pokerole Test Game: Mount Coronet Mystery - Dragonstrike - 02-16-2020 (02-16-2020, 07:51 AM)PhantomUnderYourDesk Wrote: Or maybe the TRs, since you've already given a TR of Leaf Blade to me that doesn't exist in any Gen. before. These code some weird moves sometimes. That was a fairly special exception, tbh. But yes, TRs do have some weird moves, but so do a lot of Gen 8's TMs. Fun Fact: Kyurem-B just got banned from SwSh OU on Smogon because it can learn the Dragon Dance TR and the Icicle Spear TM in Gen 8. And that's just one example of crazy moves that can be taught in Gen 8. There's actually a rock band present during the credits sequence of SwSh made up of Obstagoon (vocals), two Toxtricity (guitar and bass), and a Rillaboom (drums). They're not playing the credits music, though, as it's mostly just a flavor thing for the closing ceremonies of the Championship. I like how much SwSh flesh out its characters outside of battles, both human and pokemon. RE: [Meta Thread] Dragonstrike's Pokerole Test Game: Mount Coronet Mystery - Spiritmon - 02-16-2020 Maybe Dragonstrike. But Dynamex only make a Pokemon grown in size and...that's it. No alteration of appearance aside from size. And yes, I know there is Gigantamax who change a Pokemon appearance, and some of them gain G-Max moves, but most G-MAX moves don't change to much in appearance to the normal Max Moves. I had a few things more to say, but I think I already sent the message about how much I hate Gen 8 right now. No need to destilate more hate. That was a very special exception? Cool, now I value this TR even more! It'll be used for a very special 'Mon I aim to get in MainGame. I can't always get to responding right away. I just got out of work today, so I'll start working on initiatives soon. |
