RE: [Meta Thread] Dragonstrike's Pokerole Test Game: Mount Coronet Mystery - Dragonstrike - 02-29-2020 I think a sorcerer would be a better comparison for Karen. Very, very powerful, but folds like a wet paper bag whenever they're hit. Magnezone is basically the only exception, but that only truly shows when tanking physical attacks. RE: [Meta Thread] Dragonstrike's Pokerole Test Game: Mount Coronet Mystery - Spiritmon - 02-29-2020 Also Dragonstrike, do me a favor. Take your best saint water and holy salt and clean those dices because they kinda hate us. RE: [Meta Thread] Dragonstrike's Pokerole Test Game: Mount Coronet Mystery - Lord Windos - 02-29-2020 I'd say that it was a fairly good Round, actually, considering the odds we're up against. Both Onix are at around 1/2 HP or near it, we've partially crippled Steelix and them with Confusion and/or Trick Room, and we've gained intel on the main baddie without paying too much of a hefty price for it. Each of the characters has at least 4 - 5 Pokemon left after this Round, so if we play it smart we should be able to win against this Super Bonus Boss Encounter, so chin up Spiritmon! Few questions, Dragonstrike: - Is it possible for Ran to use a Max Potion on Paula prior to the start of the 2nd Round? Because I rather not effectively sack her out of the Encounter by switching her out if I don't have too. - If it isn't possible, how would Diam's Quash interact with Bryon's/Bronzong's Trick Room? I ask, because I want to use it on Steelix ASAP to ensure it'll ALWAYS go last in this Encounter, regardless if TR is up or not. - Can Ran deliberately try to piss off Diamond Steelix, so it starts focusing on him and/or his Pokemon instead of the others? It seems to have a hard on for him and Byron, and he's the type of person who's willing to take such a risk if it keeps everyone else safe... RE: [Meta Thread] Dragonstrike's Pokerole Test Game: Mount Coronet Mystery - Lord Windos - 02-29-2020 (02-29-2020, 09:04 PM)Spiritmon Wrote: Cursed be those dices. When they need to screw my actions, they dont waste time. But when it is to help me, they screw very good. Using Max Revive on her right now wouldn't be too smart, since she suffers from Trick Room dunking her Initiative down a latter, unless you want her to use Hypnosis on Diamond Steelix before it gets the chance to act. Better off with Mega Daikatuna imo, as his Hidden Power + Surf (Lucas SHOULD have taught everyone's Pokemon that Move + his other avaliable HMs, when Ran brought the issue up on the 2nd Floor, if I recall correctly) can help further pair down those Coal Onix, and then using its other Moves to help cut down the diamonized demon that leads them. He'll be vulnerable to EQ and Dig, but he'll be able to tank Rock Slides much better in exchange. Yup, you guys are doing pretty well so far, even though Steelix is still almost unscathed. Thanks to Trick Room flipping the order of everything, yes! It would count as one of your trainer actions for Round 2, so keep that in mind. Due to how the initiatives and moves work in Pokerole and how Quash and After You ignore the normal turn orders entirely, I'd say that Quash would put Steelix last in the current initiative if used now, and then it would be flipped around when the Trick Room ended (which would put it back in the first position). You're welcome to try, but I'll have to roll something depending on what you intend to do to determine how successful the attempt is. Positive thinking and critical analysis for the win! Diamond Steelix may be pristine now, but it won't be sitting pretty for very long once we're through with its kin! Intriguing! That gives TR a rather interesting niche I didn't know before, so I'll keep it in mind in the future! Honestly, using Ran's one Trainer Action to heal Paula up to full isn't a terrible idea regardless of that, as she's screwed if I do anything else BUT heal her for the Encounter if I keep her out (which would in turn hinder everyone else if she falls at the start/near the start of the Round) . The fact that TR is working FABULOUSLY in her favor right now and she can constantly disrupt the snakes with Moves is all the more reason to fuel her assault! ...Intriguing. Guess I'll save Diam's debut until after TR ends, so that Quash doesn't backfire spectacularly later on. Sweet! On that note, would it being a Shadow Pokemon + Being Confused increase the likelihood of it getting pissed at whatever Ran elects to say to it? And would TR allow Ran to make his 'taunt' before the Pokemon has a chance to do anything? And would TR allow Ran to make his 'taunt' before the Pokemon has a chance to do anything? Possibly. If you want to try and draw Steelix's attention, I'll definitely say that'll probably take up a whole trainer action since Randolph needs to actively be participating in the activity. So a Max Potion plus Aggro Attempt would would be the two trainer actions for Round 2 if that's the route you wanted to take. And yes, TR would allow Randolph to 'taunt' before Steelix moves. RE: [Meta Thread] Dragonstrike's Pokerole Test Game: Mount Coronet Mystery - Dragonstrike - 02-29-2020 Quote:Also, is that move from Steelix a Temtem reference? I remember a Temtem who use Diamond Storm. Try checking Bulbapedia or Serebii instead ![]() Those who are Lore inclined are also free to try and identify the move IC.
