Your shock doesn't go unnoticed for too long, as the girl notices and points to giggle then in mock anger at you! "Daddy, they didn't let me get ice cream. Spell them, spell them!"

The Florges gives their (his?) girl an indulgent pat on the head and bemused yet stern look, causing her to bow her head in a wounded pat.

"...Sorry Daddy. Should have waited, shouldn't have got mad at them..."

With a firm but loving nod they set the girl down beside them (him?) and turned to face you properly, giving you a most grateful trill and bow. Though judging by the bemusement on their face they've caught on to your shock too.

The conjure a  couple of cards out of thin air and handed it to you and then life guard nearby: One was a Independent Pokemon ID, with the name 'Sir Daddy Le Mays'  , and the other was the girl's Human ID with the name Catherine Mays. This gets a pause then a nod from the LG and probably more confusion from you, though Chloe seems pretty accepting judging by the pleased cooing she was doing.

The Florges then vanishes the cards and turns to you, tilting their head, before hold out both its hands. Above one, and imagine of a Heart appears. Above the other, a Gold Coin.

Health, or Wealth?

Once the choice was made the father(?)-daughter pair depart, leaving you with your reward and a whole lot of questions.

Well, he wasn't planning on leaving any time soon, so that's not an immediate issue.  Definitely concerning long term, though...

Anyways, what he's been keepin' close to his chest?  Well, if he had to break it down quickly for Nemona, and only because he knows she's got his back...

"Things have already been pretty spicy 'round these parts.  Professor and I have been worried that a full report would give La Primera a bit too much cause to pull us out despite any protests we might have on the matter.  We've had several reports of Malefic Monstrum in and around the city already, and it hasn't even been a week in the safest part of the region yet.  Morgana's continued presence has been unexpected and rather intrusive at times, and is not likely to go away due to her relation to one of my party's members.  And all this on top of the biggest issue: those Pokemon Center disappearances, and their probable connection to the sabotage that cut off the region from the rest of the world.  I would put money on sayin' that was not a coincidence, and I have reason to believe there's some religious zealotry involved.  And we all know how dangerous zealots can be.  It's almost a miracle that things have gone as smoothly as they have, to be frank."

That, and...

"There was also somethin' the Professor seemingly didn't notice: a temporal anomaly.  Nothin' to be majorly concerned about yet as far as I know, but it felt targeted.  Purposeful.  Certain events aren't matchin' up with Leaves's knowledge of them already.  I don't know if that's a good or bad thing yet since she won't tell me anythin' more right now unless she deems it inconsequential."

He shrugs.

"Despite all that, I still feel like we're not in dire straits yet.  Goodra's been helpful, but I've mostly only needed him for posturing to avoid unnecessary fights than actual battle.  Things are still calm, relatively speakin'.  Sounds insane to say, but Bayahama doesn't seem to be in any immediate trouble right now.  Likely gonna need to get out to the wilds and start lookin' for clues if we're gonna find out more about what the coming disasters supposedly are.  To say nothin' of doin' my actual research job."

Nemona can only give a rueful sigh and shake her head with a wane smirk as you gave her most of the real deets on things - though knowing her you doubt she'd freak out all that much if you did ever feel like sharing the truth. The battle maniac may not be your primary Mentor, but her ever present drive to make you stronger and willingness to enable you in all but the most suicidal of stunts (and even in those cases she'd mull it over first before vetoes were made) made her one of your strongest supporters. Considering how zealous she is, though, it's 50/50 whether your grateful for that or want a break from the mad woman.

"Yeah, that tracks with all the muttering I heard from them between meetings and stuff....and snooping through their minutes. *Winks* Not that you heard that from me, of course. *Frowns* ...The fact there are so many of their most ornery Mons drawn to the City....well, trouble attracts trouble when it comes to the biggest things in life. Perhaps you should poke around where these MMs have been sighted...with all the back-up and prep you can afford, of course. Dangerous as tussling with the beasts down the Crateor, but you might hit pay-dirt and crack the Bad Egg."

Talking about Morgana makes the Draconic Fighter visibly wince, a grimace stretching wide and her shuddering equally visible.

"Yeesh. I don't envy ya, slick. Not too sure how you can get her to Big Buzz off, but maybe you can get her...contact to make her lay off? I mean, if that buddy of yours has enough influence with that living pink nightmare you could arrange things for that 'Lady' to always be Locked-On to them. *Shrugs* Shitty move, but I got to look out for one of my besties first. Plus if they were able to make 'friends' with that crazy bitch in the first place....well, I say they should be used feeling like a chew toy by now."

Considering your own connection with Morgana that idea is dead in the water. Still, points for trying to help!

The rest of what you had to say only caused her to grow more and more stern, to the point she was outright scowling - a most unsettling visage for the normally maniacally happy trainer.

"Ah fuck, we got another Team Flare on our hands. Or worse, Galactic. You'd think that kind of idiocy would've died out after Enigma's atrocities, but I guess when Time Travel, Time Anomalies, and whatever the is up with your deal with your group's connection to it all even the stupidest and most improbable things are back on the table. *Sighs* Qué mierda..."

A brief stint of silence followed as Nemona rubbed her forehead, before she took off her shades and gave you a plain smile.

"Well, at least Sutalor hasn't go to hell quite yet, and they have one of the finest Trainers in Paldea to smite whatever demons or religous crazies that crawl out of the woodworks. Best be prepared for anything, Seddi, 'cause with how fast has thing been falling apart for Bayhama....a shit is going to hit the fan fast and hard. That's what experience tells me, and what my Gut is screaming about all....this."

That succulently put, Nemona moves onto a different topic, a certain friendly drago that has also be a participant in the conversation the entire time: Goodra. The Champion-Class Trainer gave them a bright smile and wave, earning a delighted trill and a attempt to hug them through the screen which result in some laughter on both sides.

"Ha! Good to see ya, Goodra! Seddi treated you like royalty. Pfft, what I am saying, he probably put your snout to the grind and got you doing all sorts of zanniness, but I bet you enjoyed every single minute, right?"

A firm, satisfied nod was given, followed by the slimy drake roping you into a side-arm hug in solidarity.

"*Smirks* Right on! *Sighs* ....But do you think he can still do the tango near as well without ya? Even with the cast of characters straight out of Dungeons and Dragonites at his back?"

That gets a worried frown from them, as they looked back and forth from Seddi, Oz, and Nemona, before they simply....shrugged.

"...Heh, yeah, that's what I figured. You're always a worrier, goober, but with the way things are going...."

The woman mulled things over, before she looked over at you and pinned you with a Stare that rooted you in place. She was already pretty serious, but now....you were paying every ounce of attention to what she had to say.

"Seddi, I got a question for you. And be honest, pragmatic, and realistic as you can be. You think you'll still need Goodra's help, knowing what the stakes are ? What could happen if you didn't have them on hand if things go bad as I think they will, compared to other options?"

...

@Spiritmon - You're free to add in stuff if you like, as while this is mainly Seddi's thing you could have Insights on things that could help or ideas to explore.

Seddi thinks that question over carefully.

"The main battle I was gonna use Goodra in this week ended up gettin' taken over by Morgana instead.  And if I was goin' on a Flutter Mane hunt, well, I'd prefer a Steel type over a Dragon.  I can't really rely on him for everythin', especially with how much magic is flyin' around this city.  No offense intended, Goodra."

"So yeah.  Nothin' pressin' comes to mind, but I can't read the future of course.  I have no doubt that somethin' is gonna happen, but it's anyone's guess right now if a Dragon or a Fighting type would be a better call."

He glances at Oz and Glinda briefly.  "Though with how powerful Oz's Fairies are, I think we could handle a Dragon without too much difficulty.  Relatively speakin', of course."

RE: [Game Thread] Lord Windos’ PokeRole Adventure 2: The Wild Lands - Spiritmon - 05-29-2025

Oz was most of the time silent, seeing the two of them interact with each other. The events Nemona and Seddi said are concerning, but nothing with great insight Oz she felt she could add.

Something then sprouted from her mind she decided to share. “Well…there…something you should be aware of too, Miss Nemona. Along with the Malefic Monstrum problem, there is something else happening around the city. There have been reports of a criminal gang called the BBs, who has been causing problems around the city, under the leadership of its leader, John. Some trainers have been targets of intimidation and even violent actions because of that gang. A member of our group, Akumo, was able to frustrate one of their crime operations. I also met in person a trainer with a Liligant who was attacked by John Garbodor. He…stuffed Liligant with some strong poison type move.” Oz looks to her side, the image of Juniper's horrible state. “...It was…horrible the state of poor Juniper.”

Oz then look at Seddi. “But thanks to Seddi, his Pokemon and my Pokemon sisters, we were able to have surgery and manually remove the poison from Juniper's body. Heck, after the surgery, she was even better than before and got even more healthier. You can ask a person called Doctor Peace, he will confirm the events.”

“...Unfortunately a day after the operation, while walking the city, I was ambushed by John and his gang. It seems he didn’t like at all with me ruining his “work” on Juniper, and wanted to make an example to not let anyone dared stand in his way. Classic intimidation tactics. Fortunately, I was able to trick him into thinking a cop was coming, and be able to escape John and his gang and then alert the authorities about what happened. They didn’t capture him yet, and has been going some reports of gang wars involving the BBs.”

Oz did remember in detail how it happened. It was the first time in years she had to rely on the use of her Scimitars powers to use Persephone Phantom Force as a means for teleportation to escape John gang grab…Such unorthodox methods cause a big stress on her body to the point of spilling blood. Combine that with years without practice and you got a recipe for disaster. Perhaps if she had her gauntlet, this could make things easier but…After her failed mission, her gauntlet was broken beyond repair. And considering how she wanted to stay away from her past, carrying a little piece of her past with her would not be a wise idea.

Of course, Oz only makes these observations in her mind, not out loud! Only Seddi and her sisters know her secret, and it is very possible Seddi already understands why she doesn't carry the signature Gauntlet of the Scimitars. He is a smart person.

With Seddi praise and Nemona words, Oz actually blushes a bit, not much used to receiving compliments. “W-Well…I mean…My sisters are quite strong indeed. Glinda is very powerful. Not to mention Persephone, my Mismagius, is very strong in raw strength and in use of trickery. And Hecate? Well, she is one of my Witch Coven Quartet for a reason. A Hatterene who can Mega Evolve, and have power to rival Pseudo Legends? I dare to say she is the strongest Pokemon of my team. I am not saying my other sisters are weak, FAR from it. Even the juniors have a lot of potential. Things are a little…rough between my sisters at the moment but…I hope time will fix things.”

“I'm not that special to be honest. Seddi put me in some high regard, but again, I am more of a healer than a fighter. Sure, there is the surgery of Juniper, but I don’t put my skills to such a high level. There are lots of medic and healers more capable than me, and with years of experience to boot. Not to mention Alchemists, and Magi with incredible powers with healing and all that. I consider myself pretty much ordinary, but still have much to learn. But I know fighting is much more necessary than only healing, so that's why I will accompany my companions in the fight against the Malefic Monstrum, and help deal with the BBs. I feel one way or another the BBs will become a much bigger problem than they already are now, so I must become stronger.”

She looks at Seddi. “And there is another reason why I must get stronger too. When we first meet, I see how awesome Seddi is, and challenge him for a battle. With how things are between my sisters and the problems at the moment, I think our battle will have to wait. But knowing he is the rival of a champion? This will not make me scared to fight you Seddi. I'm not at the level of Nemona, but I hope I can give you a good match.”

Nox seemed both confused and indifferent to your pleas, simply winding back-and-forth by your sides and brushing their/her head against you every so often. They/she are not in The Mood ® right now, though, so no amorous behavior from her thank Magic.

You posturing and thinly veiled and domineering disdain and judgement works WONDERS at making the official you're speaking to shit bricks (metaphorically!) and the rest sweat harder. The sheer PRESSURE you exude, Magically and by the very way you carry yourself as a Powerful Scimitar, is more than enough to make these fickle politicians bend over backwards to try and appease your apparent DISPLEASURE. After all, a Nucmon roaming Bayhama free before you 'intervened' to fix their shortsighted failings is ground for the government to get reemed by other regions, let alone the public and their own allies!

So it should come as no surprise they pretty much decide to 'leave the matter settled' and scarpered to rightfully fulfill the Boon you most definitely deserve, really not wanting to Rock the boat and/or risk what would count as censure from a High Council Master Scimitar. Though Sutalor's government and the Scimitars are on paper separated, their close ties and deeply interconnected relationship makes high ranking or important people have a lot (perhaps undue) weight no matter which side they're on.

In other words: the officials are thanking their lucky Stars you're being so reasonable and calm about things, when you could probably make their lives hell and/or extort them over this. Ah...sometimes being a bigwig yourself can be fun and satisfying like that....

====

Don't have much more to add about the Gifting Scene, though the officials are more nervous and much more overtly groveling about things. Well, sans the gift giver, who had remarkably regained their cool and was doing their damn best to keep some decorum and standing with you.

On a side note: were you not who you were then the officials likely would have confiscated your Nucmon for public safety. Thank Magic you're high enough on the Totem Pole and have a strong reputation that you're being entrusted to 'handle' it while the government is turning a blind eye to several international laws an 'unauthorized' person like you are violating by doing so.

Indeed Nox does, almost earning you a saucy Lick to the face you stop by a quick and firm headpat. From how excited she was getting about such a WONDERFUL gift...Zephy is going to have her work cut out for her later.

Your decision to officially undertake investigating Umbrelong's origins and get the proper paperwork to fully and legally own them/her is meet with quick and relived nods from all involved. Letting you take care of things is SO much more convenient for them and less likely for it to (perhaps literally) blow up in all of your faces. ANYTHING to appease you and head off public/international concern and backlash were top priority here, oh DEFINATELY!

While leaving Nox tries to lead you somewhere quiet so they/she could thank you more 'thoroughly' , but some firm denials and reminders of your girlfriend gets them to ultimately concede to leave things be with a huff and grumble. Lovely as your new and all too real Nuclear Option is, their personality and strong affectionate habits were going to be the death of your or your dignity yet. Not helping was your Partner's mental giggles and jeers to 'indulge' the lox a little. Zephy, not helping...!

====

Most would have not reciprocated and instead tried running screaming for the hills and whomever could ward off the Fairy Queen, but I suppose you are 'built different' as the kids like to say these days.

Even IF you knew better your Fair Lady's moodiness is Infamously Legendary worldwide, so fickle, Strange and horrible it can be. Your Bond and closeness does a lot to shield you from the worst of it, but at times you too have much to be concerned about if her state of mind or action are particularly....bold or eccentric.

Not that is the case here, as your transformation into a besotted puddle of well Loved Magi proves no end of fond amusement and utter joyful content for Morgana.

"Oh wow, ho you, how dearly so fondly I adore what you plainy state and stare ~"

Speaking of which : you rather UPFRONT suggestion visibly takes the Fairy Queen aback, looking at you with no small amount of wonder and amazement at you being so Bold and thoroughly charming and heartachingly poetic...

...Your Kiss cuts off any immediate response from her. A long and intense kiss despite your gentleness, as once she got over the shock she grabbed you with both hands and pulled you in tightly, emboldening the simple Kiss into a searingly passionate one that takes both your breaths away. When she pulled away Morgana was panting, her pale checks flushed pink and her eyes literally shining with Love and amorous Intent most Pure and Potent.

"Oh you devlish, magical rogue. I accept your accord, my dear Bernhard."

Then, still holding you close with one arm she makes a gesture in another -

*SNAP]~!*

- and you're suddenly in your bedroom in the Mageocracy Embassy.

On the bed.

Liberated.

Everything is ready suiting both your preferences.

And one stunningly beautiful woman, with whom you love with all your heart, straddling you with a most Fae and Hungry L O O K ...

....and the rest, as they say, is history.

*Fades to Black....*

When you wake up after your.....joining with Morgana, you find yourself resting alone in bed, a wonderfully prepared lunch/dinner for you off on your dining table, and Zephy grumpy yet silent about it all.

As you go to check out the meal you find a Note with a Pink Rose beside it. Opening it, it simply read:

"Thank you for the most wonderous time ~<3 May we ever and ever have many many more."

Good gives a sad but understanding trill, shuddering as they thought of all that icky, nasty, no good Magic that was no-fun to deal with at ALL.

Nemona, on the other hand, seemed to grow more intense as she Stared you down...
...
...
"*Sighs* Geez, can't even give me a straight answer if your life could depend on it. *Chuckles, shaking head* Then again you wouldn't you without being squirrely a Pachy and more flexible than an Arbok about your plans."

*Shrugs*

"Alright, Goodra can stay with ya for a couple more day. After that you can check back with me and give me a proper answer, yeah? *Frowns* Like I said, shit is about to pour down where you're at. Be prepared and try not to get yourself maimed too badly, okay? Okay!"

@Spiritmon

The mood grows a bit lighter as you interject and share your own experiences with the city, getting some winces, a few dark looks, and ultimately a smile that beamed support and Good Vibes as she gave you a thumbs up.

"Yeesh, and here I thought Seddi tended to step into dung piles. Not much I can do about local issues - not without pissing of the Prez and giving Sutalor a stroke, - but between our good cowboy friend and your own talents I think you can handle the worst the region has to offer. Heck, you already have by my count! So have a bit more confidence in yourself, 'k? If ol earthy here thinks highly enough to want to rely on you and you're as half as capable as I think you are then nothing should stop your rise to the top! *Winks* 'Especially the great friends you've made along the way."

Nemona turns back to Seddi and lets out a bit of a forelorn sign, rubbing the back of her head.

"Right, we got to end this call eventually, before Prez starts getting curious where I've been 'hustling' around. Rather not have to wrestling with her Aces, get nagged to death, and have us both get sectioned for *Air Quotes* 'being reckless heroes' . UghGot any last things to say before we Wrap things up for today?"

If not, that's that! With that Oz's only Encounter for the Day is Done, though she can still tag around with another PC to be involved in RP and give them minor bonuses to their Rolls - though I urge the primary PCs to not hinge their decisions on input from them so that things can progress swiftly enough. Oz gains +2 Will and 7 XP (after Mod) from sharing Her Story and hearing the somber tale of Seddi's own Past, while the rest of you Mons (sans Dite) make some progress in Happiness and Loyalty as well as gaining 7 XP (each)

Seddi gains + 2 Will and 8 XP (after mods)  for much the same reasons, as well as handling Kusinagi's and Ceruledge's spat rather bold but effectively. Kusanagi also stole a couple of bottle of Good Scotch for herself and foisted them on you: they lower Insight (except for heavy drinkers) by 1, but its a good pain killer and disinfectant (+Medical Rolls) as well as having special interactions with types weak to Poison/prone to drunkeness. Your Mons only gain 4 XP; the old otter being rather...disengaged from things by the end of it and your Blade of Malice being distracted threeways by you, Kusi, and Oz making it hard to pay attention

I believe Seddi has 1 Mod and 2 Minor Encounters remaining - do with them as you Will.

Yeah, reports of Shadow and Nuclear pokemon are both rather concerning for different yet similar reasons...
