RE: [Meta Thread] Dragonstrike's Pokerole Test Game: Mount Coronet Mystery - Dragonstrike - 03-09-2020 (03-09-2020, 04:13 PM)Spiritmon Wrote: Dragonstrike, since you already gona take the job in roll the dice of moves of everyone and write the scene of this battle, do you mind if I make the description of Nami Mega Evolution? I have a few ideas how the scene will happen, so that way your job will be easier. Unless you have something in mind? I don't have anything in particular in mind, so go right on ahead! RE: [Meta Thread] Dragonstrike's Pokerole Test Game: Mount Coronet Mystery - Lord Windos - 03-09-2020 As for Paula's Mega Evo, I'll let Dragonstrike handle it. He probably has a suitably awesome and/or interesting scene in mind for it, and I want to see his vision! Okay, so far as I can tell, we've all pretty much hammered out our battle plans and course of Action for the 1st Round against Shadow Primal Dialga, so unless either of you have any long term battle goals you want to work towards that can help us out or creative alternative means to hurt, inconvenience, or cripple them, I think we're ready to get started writing our chara. scenes and Orders ! Hopefully all our planning will amount to something REALLY good for us, or at least prevent REALLY bad things from happening! RE: [Meta Thread] Dragonstrike's Pokerole Test Game: Mount Coronet Mystery - Spiritmon - 03-09-2020 Alright. I now have my course of action on mind. My idea is right that way. 1 - Mega evolve Nami to get +2 Special and +1 Dexterity. 2 - Hypnosis: Insight(3)+Allure(3)+Contest(3)-Accuracy(4)-Actions(2)=3D6. I will use a Will Point to increase her accuracy. Shame the Mega form dont increase Insight to boost Hypnosis. A cool mod for Bad Dream would boost a bit the accuracy of Hypnosis or other Sleep induce moves, with at least +1 or +2 of accuracy. 3 - After that, Telekinesis: Dex(4*)+Fight(3)+Channel(3)-Actions(4)=6D6. 4 - And finally Focus Blast: Dex(4*)+Fight(3)+Channel(3)-Accuracy(3)-Actions(6)=0D6. Unfortanely, this will not work since even with the boost, Nami dont have enough dice to pull off another Focus Blast. So alternative plan: 4.2 - Use either Nightmare: Insight(3)+Contest(3)+Intimidate(3)-Actions(6)=3D6 or Night Shade: Special(5*)+Fight(3)+Channel(3)-Actions(6)=5D6. Depending of the situation of Dialga sleeping or not, with Bad Dream + Nightmare Dialga will receive 2 automatic Damage in the end of the round! This couse of plans might be enough. Are we ready people? RE: [Meta Thread] Dragonstrike's Pokerole Test Game: Mount Coronet Mystery - PhantomUnderYourDesk - 03-09-2020 (03-09-2020, 03:16 PM)Dragonstrike Wrote:(03-09-2020, 03:13 PM)PhantomUnderYourDesk Wrote: Dragonstrike, about that cover behind Giratina - Is it possible to take cover behind them while not performing an Action and leap out of that cover for an attack, then take cover again? This taking-cover doesn't (yet) take an extra-action, right? If you break cover to attack, then you'll be vulnerable to whatever Dialga's next action is before you can take cover again. So that basically means that it's not possible to attack at all while seeking cover behind Giratina, the moment you step out you're a target, like you said earlier... That's a risk I'm going to take though. One more thing, is it possible to... clash Dialga's attacks as well? I THINK so because of (quote)...Dialga's stats are reduced to their mortal equivalents!...(quote ends), but I likely won't be sure before I try, will I? (03-09-2020, 03:24 PM)Lord Windos Wrote: (...)Before you get start on writing Orders, do you have any other Insights and questions you want to share about Dialga and/or the upcoming battle in general, or want to make any Knowledge/Lore/etc. checks to see if you (and by extention everyone else) can glean more info before we take the plunge and write our Orders?(...) Hmm nope, you actually covered everything I would say about that, dear. ^v^ I always learn about a foe's movepool through the corebook and bulbapedia to know what to expect and what to look out for!~ The only thing I'd add is 'Know the foe's weaknesses and exploit them as best as you can' and 'Prefer to buff yourself over debuffing the foe', but that's just general fluff that goes for every battle. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Quote:(...)So if any has access to easy to proc Confusion on their Pokemon , that might be something to consider inflicting on the Time Lord.(...) Ah damn, that would be something Stella could easily do with Confuse Ray since she has enough XP for it to learn and I'd be willing to burn those XP for that sake, but she's not with me in my active party. Mercury has ways to inflict confusion via Chatter, but it's unreliable due to being a 3CD-Effect. RE: [Meta Thread] Dragonstrike's Pokerole Test Game: Mount Coronet Mystery - Lord Windos - 03-09-2020 Alright, everyone is indeed ready, so let your muses take flight mates and and help you craft some wonderful posts! You're certainly welcome to try Clashing or Evading Dialga's attacks. RE: [Meta Thread] Dragonstrike's Pokerole Test Game: Mount Coronet Mystery - Spiritmon - 03-09-2020 Whoosh. Took a while to finish my post. I was searching for a perfect soundtrack for Nami Mega Evolution. It must be special no? And a good picture of it too. What you think Dragonstrike? Might want to fix the spot where you said 'Arial' instead of 'Kogeki', however. Couldn't find a better image of a deadly Mega Dramsama, so that one has to go. Despite be looks like a regular Dramsama. And what you think of Nami Mega Evolution music? RE: [Meta Thread] Dragonstrike's Pokerole Test Game: Mount Coronet Mystery - Spiritmon - 03-09-2020 I also hope you don't mind Lord Windos. I took some inspiration of Arbok unique Mega Evolution and try as possible made my own unique version of Nami Evolution. Since, well, Dramsamas is dramatic Pokemon, so Nami deserved a different Mega Evolution scene too. |
