RE: [Meta Thread] Dragonstrike's Pokerole Test Game: Mount Coronet Mystery - Dragonstrike - 03-14-2020 (03-14-2020, 08:53 PM)Spiritmon Wrote: I kinda have a question Dragonstrike. Will Kogeki carry his sword with him at least with him? It's a really important item? Along with the mechanical arm. It is possible to carry both or will both be leaving behind? As I said, I don't intend to get too deep into character creation right now. We'll discuss details like that later. RE: [Meta Thread] Dragonstrike's Pokerole Test Game: Mount Coronet Mystery - PhantomUnderYourDesk - 03-15-2020 AAAAHHHHHHHHH the world of PKMN Mystery Dungeon, aaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!! *faints from the sheer joy and anticipitation over the whole new batch of OPPORTUNITIES and fun RP'ing this provides* RE: [Meta Thread] Dragonstrike's Pokerole Test Game: Mount Coronet Mystery - Dragonstrike - 03-15-2020 You guys can't see it, but I have the biggest grin on my face right now. I was really nervous about how that reveal might be received, so I am very, very happy it's going over relatively well. ![]() I hope it was worth the wait! Now then, this being the end of the test game, I can certainly say I've learned a lot from the experience. However, if you have some constructive criticisms or praise to voice still, now would be the time to do so. Or at least a divine and platonic friendship. Quote:(...)However, if you have some constructive criticisms to voice still, now would be the time to do so.(...) - I really really like the usage of pictures and colors in your posts. Yes I know this requirers more effort put into posts, but it just makes things for me more vivid and enjoyable. Please don't stop enhancing posts like this~ - Constructively meant, don't make up too many houserules because descriptions of moves and mechanics stated within the corebook are different from what's stated on bulbapedia, it tends to get confusing if too much will be altered about the way a move works. We've seen that it can lead to drama like in the case of Final Gambit - 'can', not 'will', if something's obviously off it does make sense to houserule it, but things that aren't broken don't need fixing. RE: [Meta Thread] Dragonstrike's Pokerole Test Game: Mount Coronet Mystery - PhantomUnderYourDesk - 03-15-2020 Oh, I should probably get another spiral-bound notepad with checkered paper solely for drawing the maps of dungeon as we traverse them - I enjoyed/enjoy to do that~ That, and I'm very curious how you'll handle the Dungeons consisting of 99 Floors as well as those that force you to start at Lv.1 (^o^)☆ As long as I'll get the chance to visit and loot Zero Isle, I'll be happy RE: [Meta Thread] Dragonstrike's Pokerole Test Game: Mount Coronet Mystery - Dragonstrike - 03-15-2020 (03-15-2020, 09:37 AM)PhantomUnderYourDesk Wrote: Oh, I should probably get another spiral-bound notepad with checkered paper solely for drawing the maps of dungeon as we traverse them - I enjoyed/enjoy to do that~ I doubt we'll tackle a full 99 Floor dungeon due to the nature of the system and how long it takes to reach the end of those, but such lengthy dungeons will certainly be longer than all others. Level reset dungeons, I haven't figured out the specifics of yet, but I'll think of something since Destiny Tower is one of them! And yes, Zero Isle is on the map. RE: [Meta Thread] Dragonstrike's Pokerole Test Game: Mount Coronet Mystery - Lord Windos - 03-15-2020 (03-15-2020, 08:40 AM)Dragonstrike Wrote: You guys can't see it, but I have the biggest grin on my face right now. Not often I can bring true joy to someone in my life, so when I can I truly can feel good about myself and what I've done. The reveal was expected on my end, but no less surprising, and the very nature of your next campaign has forced me to scrap the two chara concepts I had most fleshed out for future Pokerole campaigns, as they wouldn't work very/as well in a Mystery Dungeon setting as Pokemon, but I've adapted and begun the mind dev of a few new ones! Yes, indeed it has! I do, but let me read the Game Thread first before I get started on that front! RE: [Meta Thread] Dragonstrike's Pokerole Test Game: Mount Coronet Mystery - Spiritmon - 03-15-2020 (03-15-2020, 08:40 AM)Dragonstrike Wrote: You guys can't see it, but I have the biggest grin on my face right now. I was really nervous about how that reveal might be received, so I am very, very happy it's going over relatively well. I enjoyed quite a lot the surprise. And now we can have a different kind of campaign. As I mentioned before, it makes me nostalgic for the whole Pokemon yourself thing. Gonna be a little difficult to choose one for Kogeki become since I already choose two who fit Ninja shenanigans: Ninjask and Greninja. I just hope things get ready sooner, because since Iron campaign is diceless, I can't wait to begin right away! About criticism, I don't have at the moment, since you get better in your style of writing. Well, perhaps in the future let's avoid radical change effects of certain moves is a first step, with reducing the effects only in certain key points of the story, like a Final Gambit used against a Legendary. Legendaries have incredible powers, so the reduce of power is understable. Also, since we are now the Pokemon, how the healing will work? There gonna be used stats for accuracy, or are we gonna use Will Points? But the praise come now: The battle was awesome and epic, and break the expectation since we died. And Nami Mega Ability was also incredible too, but it's a shame since we not be able to see such ability again. I not so familiar with the Mystery Dungeon system in Pokerole style. Not to mention all the rewards we get from this adventure. Shame I forget to ask Arceus about the Pokemon the Leaders see in the vision. The fox with a mask.
