As Mienfoo's hands and Kee's forehead collide in a rather forceful manner, a low hiss emits from the crittercoon's bared teeth - no one, NO ONE dares to mess with those he considers friends and allies like that! (メ` ロ ´) For the split of a second where both battlers glance into each other's eyes, Kee cannot help but to smirk over both having succesfully crossed Mienfoo's plan to hurt Platina and saved from any harm; before he leaps out of the way to let Emolga display some masterly gracefulness in his attack. Another pleased smirk from Kee, this time for the electric squirrel - now THAT's some classy fighting style straight up his alley!~
As quickly as the battle started it ended, even if how they've managed to win over Trubbish wasn't very...pleasant to watch, he suddenly feels somewhat bad for them. There's little he can do about that feeling however, and no way he'd use any precious remedy of his to make up for the wild 'Mon - in fact, Kee much rather takes some steps back from the fainted mess that Trubbish is, grimance over the stench and compulsively clean his fine fur. Platina's semi-complaint about Emolga having knocked Trubbish out in the way he did receives a comforting glance and wave of his paw in his trademark 'no big deal'-manner. "It's fine, it's fine... Couldn't have 'xpected us t'win over tha trashbag like that, could we? Let us nat give it too much thought, rather move onward."
...Or not, as Kee's head makes a u-turn in direction of Keldeo as the waterly horse mentions 'acid' - and what he sees makes Kee grimance just as much (if not more) than he did just before. (°ロ°) ! "These are some, uh, nasty burns ya got there, K'ldeo...", he speaks up in worried manner as he steps closer to Keldeo. " D'ya allow me to try soothin' that pain for a ya 't least a little ? Can't stand seein' ya like that. Do tell if I make it worse or 'f it pains, will ya..? I gonna be gentle though, promise."
Medicine check from Kee go! What he'll gonna do is take some loose fur of his, lick over is ('Lick' as in the move he knows) for the hair to somewhat stick together via saliva - it doesn's have to be much - and gently put it on the most serious-looking burns of Keldeo so that the wounds are at least a little covered. this very simple impromptu-bandage doesn't have to remain on the wounds aka cover them, pretty sure it won't stick to them anyway, but Kee at least want to take some remaining acid off he wounds to prevent it from eroding more tissue. Roll's going to be 2 Smart + 1 Knowledge (raised for 8 XP) + 0 Medicine + 3 Logic = 6d6, not that bad. Raising Medicine Skill would make more sense, but I can't before Knowledge as the correspondenting Skill hasn't been raised after all.
This is gonna be a pretty hard check to make, but let's see what happens!

Keldeo cringes as Kee attempts to create an impromptu bandage with fur and saliva. That doesn't seem to have much of an effect on its own.
But what does have an effect is Kee licking off some of the acid. It burns his tongue. Keldeo seems to be in a little less pain, but now Kee is sharing in it! Now Keldeo and Kee both have -1 Sp Def instead of just one of them having -2.

"No offense to you Emolga, couldn't you have found a way to Knock this......thing out without it making such a horrible mess? *Sighs* The cold at least blunts the stench of it, mercifully."
Keldeo's complaints earn a sympathetic wince from her - she's suffered from burns of various kinds before herself, and none of them were particularly pleasant - but to his inquiry she could only shake her head.
"Regretfully no, Keldeo. I was never.....taught medicine craft much, so I can't help assist you with your burns. Let us hurry and try to find the Exit to this Floor then, and hopefully you'll heal quickly in the meantime."
While the party was recovering from the skirmish she took the opportunity to take out and put on the X-Eye Glasses again and looked around, and winced at what she saw up ahead. Hopefully they're not as much of a threat as these ones were, or if the Gods permit look friendly enough for parley. Everyone, get ready to move out carefully."
Her decree thus made, she swapped her X-Eye Glasses back with her Persim Scarf and prepared to lead her companions Stealthily forward into the next Room facing up from their tile, trying to be quick yet cautious in her approach. It seemed to be working - she was moving with noticeably more grace and speed as she lead the party forward than before! Increasing Platina's Dexterity by 1 for 30 XP, making it 4 now!
Order: Have the Party enter the room directly up from their current tile Stealthily/slowly like they did when entering this room, as there be Unknown Pokemon ahead and she continues not to take any risks and chances with everyone's health and safety. Additionally, time for her first Attribute Increase! With it, she's hit her DEX Cap until she Evolves, so the only way she'll be getting faster is improving her Skills and Specialties until then! May it serve her well in the times ahead!
The Hail continues to fall, nullifying the group's passive HP recovery as they move on to the next room.

What they find is a large, icy clearing that doesn't appear to have anyone in it. And off to the left, there appears to be a path that might go behind the ice wall they saw earlier! Everyone tries to move as quietly as they can, carefully looking around for potential enemies.

(6)(2)(2)(3) K-Growlithe takes 1 damage 4/15 HP -2 Pain
Karen musters all the psychic energy she can and blasts the last Growlithe with it! The amount of power goes a little wild though, resulting in her doing less damage than she might have expected or wanted.
Quick Attack 2 on K-Growlithe

Blitzle suddenly charges, trying very hard to actually contribute something to this battle. Ponyta just shakes their head in exasperation.

Karen and Rolycoly get 10 exp.

Ponyta starts lecturing Blitzle on his performance again. Lunapup starts assessing the group of pokemon.
"Is everyone all right? You're lucky I managed to drive off the Dark Lord."
"I think we're fine...Dark Lord though? Isn't that a bit...dramatic?"
"His words, not mine. He's quite fascinated with that particular type, if you couldn't tell from the name."
Lunapup looks at Karen. "And how are you holding up? I caught snippets of your conversation with Darkula while I was preparing my own ambush. He seemed to be especially interested in you for some reason."
6 of Karen's current exp will be used to increase her channel from 1 to 2!
"I- I'm fine," Karen manages, still somewhat uncomfortable around Lunapup. "Yeah, there's a bit of history... He took the Dread Plate and mentioned something about the 'Primal Shadows' whatever that is..." She is going to be intentionally vague on any further questions about the plates and the mission from Arceus, as she is somewhat wary about the Lunapup.

Platina doesn't pay much mind to either of her companion's efforts as she gathers the group and marches ahead. So long as they're not doing anything too objectionable or could involve the party as a whole she's content to leave them to their own devices. No need to micromanage every little thing, especially in such hostile climes!
The party's less than silent march through the snow, however, leaves a lot to be desired for the metallic avian, but it couldn't be help. It was always.....difficult for someone like her to go unnoticed, and the terrain was not helping matters at all! Case in point, the entire group getting caught off guard by a noble, majestic looking Ninetales sudden and dramatic appearance, came as no surprise to her in retrospect.
At that brief moment, though? She was surprised, annoyed, and then awed and intrigued, all in that order. The first three for obvious reasons, but the third? She was intrigued because they decided to make their presence known, instead of attacking or ambushing the group like she heard the a lot of Pokemon from Mystery Dungeons tend to do. While getting caught slinking through someone's terrority uninvited was typically grounds for conflict and/or reprisals, the opposite happening gave her hope that diplomacy could shine through once more.
Immediately after their demand, the shiny bird gave them a one-winged bow before looking up slightly at them with utmost respect.
"Greetings and good day to you, Graceful Ninetales. We are Team Omega Seekers, and all we simply wish for is to pass through the Great Glacier, for it is not our destination but a part of our journey. We mean no harm nor trouble to you, and forgive us if we trespassed into your domain, for we have only done so in ignorance and haste. If you will permit, we shall continue on and leave you be without further bothering you...."
Orders: Attempt to Diplomacy the group's way through this Encounter! Platina has zero reason to start a fight with this Pokemon, especially if they pointedly didn't themselves. Hopefully she won't put her talon in her beak with this!

He speaks to Dedenne and Bunnelby as he sees Zeraora go into the woods. "I... don't really want to follow him if I'm being entirely honest. The thought of getting zapped by static electricity makes me nervous. A sodding lightning strike that even made an electric type like that Zeraora worried? It's taking all of my willpower to not just leg it."
He trails off, contemplating his choices before sighing. "I'm trying to build some kinda rapport with the guildmaster. How the bloody fuck am I gonna do that if I leave her kid in a place lkke this? Let's just follow the Zeraora."
As an afterthought, he adds, "Not sure if you heard me before. What are the Voidlands?"
Dedenne moves to the side briefly to contact Ampharos before anything else, leaving Bunnelby to address Daxter's commentary and questions.
"That's the expedition life for ya. Not always the most pleasant job, but somebody's gotta do it."
"Oh, right, never did answer your question earlier, did we? Well, to keep it brief..."
Memories of the Void: Void Shadows - Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon
What follows is Bunnelby's description of a horrible sounding place. Deep caves and tall, upside down mountains of rock dotting a barren, maze-like landscape devoid of any life, stalked by formless shadows hunting anyone unfortunate enough to end up there.
"Getting sent there wasn't a pleasant experience, I tell ya. And after we found everyone else, Buizel and I got captured by those...things while we were briefly separated from the others. I've been told that's when Dedenne, Mawile, and the newbies met the Legendary Beasts. That would be Raikou; the Thunder's Boom, Entei; the Volcano's Roar, and Suicune; the Purifying Aurora. Almost every pokemon in the world had been sent to that alternate dimension by that point, their physical bodies turned to stone, and the Legendary Beasts were no exception to that. It was a miracle that the newbies were able to get out and save us all from Dark Matter, the entity that was commanding those shadows. They might not have escaped at all if it weren't for the Legendary Beasts, though, and then Dark Matter would have ended everything..."
Bunnelby shivers. "Honestly, if we're chasing shadows, it's gonna give me some flashbacks. But if we're gonna get to the bottom of this mystery, we're gonna have to, and I'll do my best to contribute. I just sincerely hope that they aren't connected to a resurgence in Dark Matter's negative energy..."
Dedenne walks back over. "Let's walk and talk everyone. I've got news from Ampharos, and we're running out of time on this floor."
Bunnelby nods. "Right. There'll be more time for stories later. Let's get moving before the wind picks back up."

Lightning Scarred Clearing
Daxter and co. continue deeper into the forest, and the scenery begins to change around them. The greenery that had surrounded them up to this point begins to thin and transition in color. What was once a lush, verdant forest becomes a forest that looks to be scarred by lightning and fire. Patches of dead or dying trees can be seen within the thickets, the browns and blacks of their injuries being all too apparent. The rain begins to pick up in intensity as lightning flashes and thunder rumbles through the thinner canopy of leaves above.
Eventually, the group wanders into a clearing with a Kangaskhan statue, where Zeraora is waiting for them.
"There you are. You'll be safe here for now. Further in is the land where Lord Raikou roams, the Charred Thunder Forest. That is where the Braixen went. If you have any questions, it would be best if you ask them now." They look at Daxter when they say this, seeming to be expecting at least one question.
"Before we get to that, the news from Ampharos I mentioned. Daxter, check your Connection Orb."
When Daxter checks it, he sees two messages have been sent recently, indicated by the orb glowing more brightly than usual. One from Team Stripes, the other from Team Artificers.
This is Arcanine of Team Stripes. We're currently at a cave known as Drenched Bluff, where we consulted with a Lapras that Guildmaster Wigglytuff is personally acquainted with. They reported that there have been an unusual amount of Hurricanes on their sea routes as of late, but never in the same spots. It's as if they're moving with something. It is possible that they are being caused by a pokemon. By Lapras's estimate, the weather patterns are likely somewhere around the Mist Continent at the moment. It would be advisable for Team Omega Seekers to be cautious.

"When I was communicating with Ampharos earlier, he mentioned that Jirachi was using his telescope and saw something flying towards Thunder Forest. And whatever it was, it seemed to be shrouded by stormclouds and lightning bolts."
"...those are ill tidings. If another that commands storms is in this area, then they will likely be engaging in a territorial dispute with Lord Raikou, whether that is their intention or not."
"That doesn't doesn't sound very good for us."
The conversation is briefly interrupted by a flash of lightning and the crack of thunder.
K A C H O W ! !
K A B O O M ! !
"No, it sounds like that. And it's likely that the Braixen has been caught in the middle of it. So, let me repeat myself. If you have any questions, now is the time to ask them. We likely won't have time to chat once we head deeper in."

I'd say doing it completely unnoticed would be difficult in the current situation. (And in the interest of time, it'll be faster to skip this for now)

The snowy Ninetales shakes their head. "Dearie me, I'm afraid we may have a misunderstanding here. This is not my domain. It is the domain of Master Kyurem. Or rather, it was before the Glacial Palace was destroyed in the aftermath of the battle with the Bittercold. There is little left here but ruins and the native wild pokemon. Well, and myself, I suppose."
"I am Madame Twintales, devout follower of and apprentice to Master Kyurem the All Seeing. And as we get so few visitors here, I can only assume you have come here with a particular purpose in mind. Hoping to meet with Master Kyurem, perhaps? You should be warned that this place is not very welcoming to visitors. Many dangerous wild pokemon patrol the halls of the ruined palace."
Keldeo steps in. "Sort of. A friend of ours may have come here to speak with Kyurem, but we haven't seen her since she left. You haven't seen a Raichu pass by recently, have you?"
It is at this moment that Kee notices a light glowing brighter in his guitar bag. Should he investigate, he finds the connection orb is glowing! It seems to have received some messages! (@PhantomUnderYourDesk)

He took the Dread Plate and mentioned something about the 'Primal Shadows' whatever that is..." She is going to be intentionally vague on any further questions about the plates and the mission from Arceus, as she is somewhat wary about the Lunapup.
"Hmmmm...I do not like the sound of that. What are you up to, Darkula...?"
Lunapup seems to be lost in thought for a moment, then shakes his head. "Unfortunately, I'll need more information to determine what he's planning. For now, I need to pursue that vile bat. I cannot let him forcibly coerce more pokemon into doing his bidding. I leave the fate of these Growlithe to you. We shall meet again, I'm sure."
Lunapup burrows into the ground and vanishes without another word! Mudbray blinks, not quite sure what to make of all that.
"Well, he's certainly...something. So, uh...do you think these Growilithe really were being forced to attack us? What should we do with them?"
Regardless of what Karen decides to do with any/all of the Growlithe (this can be resolved in a flashback), when Ponyta finishes talking with Blitzle, the party will continue onwards.
-------------------------------------
The group of adventurers don't encounter any further difficulties on the current floor of the dungeon, and it does not take them long to reach the cliff where Delphox said Xatu spends their days staring at the sun. Nor does it take them long to find the mystic bird once they are there.
As Delphox described, the bird has their wings folded around themselves like a cloak while they stare at the horizon, watching the setting sun from the edge of the cliff.
It doesn't appear that Xatu has noticed the group of pokemon approaching their perch, either.
"...soooo...do you think we should try bothering him? He looks pretty absorbed in what he's doing..."
"I dunno...we need to talk to him though, right?"
Ponyta nudges Karen. "I think you should go get his attention, Karen. I don't know what Delphox is thinking, but if both she and that Darkula fellow are interested in you for who knows what reason, I'm guessing Xatu will be too."
