Pool-XP sucessfully redistributed to bring Equinox at exactly 50XP before the Big-Boss-Fight: Just as big thanks for giving me the idea to do so and upgrade Regenerator in the first place, you deserve the whole package of soft-baked choco-cookies I bought today, my dearest Windos ~♡

Sex is the last thing on its/her mind - she/they want to make sure you are safe and sound, THEN she/they want to find the monster responsible for all this and thoroughly irradiate it into glowing crystalized sludge

As such, you're command/request is meet with a firm nod, baring their glowing teeth and letting out a *ZzzzzSsssss!* that felt every bit wrathful as you over IT. They/she seemed reluctant to leave you despite their desire for VEGENCE, relatively defenseless and still recovering from your grievous injuries.. Still, they/she wanted to do something other than restlessly pace around you and generally being wroth with worry and ire over how things turned out. So off Equinox went, pairing up with whatever PC or NPC (if no PC desires her help) willing to have her/them tag along, with said person receiving your own instructions and general guidelines for the Mon's use (however much and however detailed it is).(...)

Bernhard does actually.....enjoy the comfort and reassurance dear Equi is giving him here, letting her nuzzle him and reciprocate it by gently petting her snout. Bonus points for no ulterior motives from her side. "I'll be fine, I'll be safe and sound", he'd tell her, "For I have the company and protection of my other magical Pokemon-partners. *stern look with a morbid smile* You please go and SEEK VENGANCE in my name. Come find me after the successful mission, and I will welcome you back with open arms." Bernhard trusts that Equi won't use this as an opportunity to escape - with her current Happiness (4) and Loyalty (3) that shouldn't be an issue - right...?

So....*coughs* Any volunteers in taking Equinox and her Pokeball for this upcoming fight? You will be given basic instructions about how to handle this Umbrelong, but you won't be requested to give orders as Equinox will fight on her own amends (say, you can still command your two Pokemon without an issue, Equi will not count to these). You will also receive some Healing Items and will be asked to heal her up and unfaint her accordingly. (list following upon it's decided who Equi pairs up with)

EDIT: As agreed in MetaThread (Source here), Oz volunteered in taking Equi under her wings! Thank you so much!~

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Talking with Steelene will come after Bernhard has checked in with his own Pokemon first and foremost, once they're properly reassured and calmed down after what happened to him. Both for their sake (to not fret over their Master and Wielder) and his own sake (he sorta [and he hates to admit it] longs for their company and TLC after the trauma of loosing his hand and Gauntlet). And after he has given the single Max Revive in his Inventory to whoever leads Equinox into battle, it wouldn't be very in-chara for Bernhard to go and revive Lunn. If not 'drastically out of character' actually. He can be kind and lend his help if needed, but not THAT kind of helpful.

Until then the steel-fae has to be patient, but she's very welcome to watch the...'fine performance with his own Pokemon', as you put it. If anything, that will reassure her that she'll be in good company shall she indeed join Bernhard's rangs?

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I like the hint of Nirix's potential 'awakening and empowering of his latent Healer talents' - perhaps something to further boost with XP and matching roleplay-scenes. Having a second healer as a back-up in case Oz is impaired OR Nirix becoming Bernhard's very personal healer akin to the stern and self-assured Scimitar Healers he knows and is used to (only the best of healthcare for Acrowls' personal student!) could be quite useful indeed, given how dangerous the wilds out in Sutalör appear to be!

Bern lets precious Doctor Horse do his job indeed, sorta......appreciates it even instead of simply enduring it. Double so if the colorful and loyal steed's TLC further eases the physical pain and trauma of loosing a hand, and double so x2 if this will actually make it easier to get our Gauntlet re-attached. Damn, simply being in Nirix's presence, having his pastel veil embrace and protect Bern appears to calm both his body, mind AND soul - how utterly foolish of him to initially having wanted to miss out on this.

Oh, Bernhard sorta IS in a mess. He just kinda...1. hides it REALLY well, keeping a stoic and calm facade upfront (for now), and 2. has SUFFICIENT coping mechanisms and support that prevents him from completely breaking down mentally and physically. Divine intervention by Fayette or not, not even someone like the high-ranked Scimitar he is can cope with the many eventful things of the last few days without it leaving invisible cracks and scars.

He bets and hope that the remaining War Party...won't blame him for wanting to keep the company of his Pokemon instead of sending them out to help at the front (sans Nox).

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And noooowww for this scene indeed...~

Yeah, that was sorta the reaction of Myra's and Zephy's that Bernhard imagined them to have. Not that it STILL caught him off-guard, very so, being tackle-hugged to the ground and being figuratively turned into an emotional and touched mess of a Scimitar. Oh dear, what would poor Bernhard do WITHOUT the company of trusted Pokemon by his side, regardless of his belonging to the Moderate Fraction...

Similar with Nirix (who is welcome to stay out for now), he would quietly appreciate Myra swarming all over him, to the point of timidly.....recirpocating the fluffy but comfortable embrace of her nine tails. A massive sign of trust and loyalty of Myra to pull him; her Master and Wielder, into one; and yes he knows this very well.

He'd give the trusty kitsune, still sitting on his chest (which he just this one time allows) a very tired yet genunely thankful flash of a smile. Softly pet her snout, scratch her under the chin, headpat her. Just this time, he.....is IN NEED of her display of affection to ease his riled up mental and physical state. "Oh dear...", he'd tell Myra quietly, "I'm sorry that you had to...wait to check up on dear old me. Perhaps it may sound wrong, but....*hesitates*...thank you for being so caring. I am not quite sure whether I am deserving of it in the first place, having done so much wrong and having failed completely in the fight against the Masked Wolf.... *heavy sigh* Regardless your loyalty knows no bounds it seems; and for that, dear Myra, I am genuinely grateful. Thanks to you, I'll be fine...soon enough, I hope so. Unable to channel your skills and powers like I am used to for a while however, but.....that can be fixed and repaired, now can it?"

"*in an even more quiet voice* Please do stay with me in this...time of need, I am actively asking for it indeed..."
*looking sad, down and VERY VERY exhausted as he continues to give her pets*

People gawking and taking pictures - let them, if they want. Very lucky for them Bernhard cannot cast any spells on them right now, and you don't see a Ninetails actively touching someone with their precious tails every day indeed.

Towards Zephy, his most trusted and trademarked partner, the one Bernhard doesn't feel a strict need to hide his true soft and hurt and emotion side from...

...he'll take her slap without batting an eye, feeling like he rightfully deserved this for reasons [spoiler-y background reasons]. Doesn't change that it still hurt though, but Zephy is just as quick to make up for that via her icy powers and clingy + affectionate nature. Likewise/same as he did with his other magical partners, Bernhard does all quietly embrace the artistic muse's TLC (and feeling slightly ashamed and embarassed for doing so, but that's beside the point), it being DOUBLE APPRECIATED. He simply gives her a deep sigh, suddenly looking twice as old as he is as she moved her gaze around in between his hand, the severed Gauntlet and that Masked Wolf (or the place where it was), saying nothing at first but letting Zephy come to terms on her own. Plus, he didn't want to ruin the moment and instead bathe in it for a while.

Using his remaining hand Bern would likewise press Zephy against the side of his face closely and tightly, as if to LIKEWISE hold on for dear life indeed. "Oh well, oh dear; my treasured, trust and yes indeed perhaps beloved Zephy... Where to begin..."

*whispers to her, tone is SAD* "I am incredibly sorry for having kept you in your Ball for way too long. My apologies for that, I'll make up to that to you at some point when the opportunity is right. I KNOW, dear Zephy, I SO KNOW. I am...very  a w a r e  of your thoughts and feeling about being trapped... I'm sorry if my foolishness reminded you of...things. Brought back unpleasant memories and feelings that should rather be banished into the abyss, perhaps... I shall make great effort to NEVER let it happen again. You do have my word for it."
He'd hold out his pinky finger for a pinky-promise to Zephy with a smile of 'I mean it'.

For quite a while silence reigned, as there were no words needed between these two. Seemed like either just...dwelled in the moment for as long as possible.

Then, with the faint hint of a sniffle or sob - "I failed you, now didn't I. This was our CHANCE, and I  A I L E D  it. I failed ALL OF THEM. You know who I mean. I can't be of any use or help towards them now, they have to march on and defeat that Hateful Being without my help... Equinox is with them, to seek vengance and help defeating that beast, but that may be just a drop in the ocean." ...Oh dear, Bernhard about to unburden his heart towards Zephy? Quick, do something before he's in tears.

*tone turns tormented"I have no other choice than to take it easy until...then, Zephy-dearest. The feeling of  v u l n e r a b i l i t y,  d e f e n s e l e s s n e s s  and  f r a g i l i t y  of not being able to draw upon your all powers - it's near suffocating. More than ever perhaps, I need rest, I need to whine down and calm down, I need your help putting back together the pieces of what broke within me. Still sorta in shock and in dissociation - I am so not used to this anymore..."

*then a glimpse of hope sparks up as he directly looks Zephy into her smol face and eyes* "You...can indeed get this *holds up gauntlet* fixed up again? Like, really really? The sooner, the better... The sooner I can have the cables reconnected to my veins, the better... Got to work and put in effort to cast spells like usually again, but that comes with time and practice... Thought I'd instantly march towards the Pokemon Center/Hospital to ask for the soonest opportunity of such an emergency operation, but if YOU, dear Zephy, can help with that...?"

With your determined answer from you and your sisters the strange woman gave a solemn nod back, clasping both hands and bowing to you as she did. Then, as you summoned/shaped your instruments and prepared with your Sisters, so too did they as they moved over to a large, smooth expanse of clear sand and began their work.

The circular diagram the Priestess formed was a looping, almost chaotic weaving at first glance. As she ever danced her fingers through the sand, her eyes closed as she added, removed, smoothed, and connected the disperate curves and pieces....

...A lovely Star of a flower came to be, ringed and bound by circles and petals through and throughout.

From there you and the Priestess carefully placed Lopzu in the very center, taking great care not to disrupt the diagram or Flinch from the G r u d g i n g  C U R E that threatened to lash out the confirms of the bestial swordswoman's form. The Priestess then took her place outside the circular diagram, crouching down on the sand on her knees and facing the direction the moon was it, a crescent shape now wreathed in aurora borealis. She clapped her hands together once, the sound now oddly reverberating and causing Lopzu to twitch, closed her eyes, and said a short prayer:

"Time. Space. Heavens and Earth. Hear our plea. Lend thy Power, thy Grace, thy Absolution. Aid us in Cleansing and Purifying this poor woman's SOUL. Sinner as she may be, she has done no Wrong deserving the foul Fate inflicted upon her. Please, please, please, hear us now. Grant our Prayers, Grant her Mercy, Grant us Your Will ."

The air became charged in a.....dare you say it, sacred energy as her arms and eyes flew wide open towards the moon. Then, she opened her mouth and s a n g. Wordless, toneless, yet oh so m e l o d i u s, the reverberations send your flesh, bones, and even spirit a-buzzing as she s a n g  and s a n g  and s a n g  for the SOUL of Lopzu. Lopzu, who began to violently jerk in place, eyes flying open in a blank yet frenzied stare as she Thrashed against an unseen force, a savage *SNARL* tearing from her vocal cords as she - or rather, the CURSE - fought with vile, sorcerous fury against the efforts of Exorcism and Purification.

Music: Lugia's Song (Pokémon 2000) [2016 ver.] ~ Flute & Piano cover ft. ‪@stahrmie‬!

You and your sisters needed no further prompt - together, As One, you added your own song to the Priestess' , your own Promise and Prayers added to their own as you began calling the Elements and the Guardians of the Sea, beseeching them for their Aid. Then, with a grace and rhythm that was all too natural yet surprising, you began to lithely dance around the circle, your instruments doing their own little jigs too. Prancing, leaping, twirling, yet never missing a beat. Your song s a n g  with the Priestess' own, the sonorous melody suppressing the foul miasma of the environment and making its Power known. Though you wouldn't know it your song reaches as far as the camp itself, catching the attention of all as they find themselves keenly listen with bated breath...

The question now remains: Will it be Enough ?

The ragged woman spasmed, thrashed, and a point let out a H O R R I F Y I N G  wail that sounded like a dying rabbit's squeals. At one point her body even leapt up and tried to tackle the Priestess, only to rebound off an invisible barrier, knocking them flat on their back, where they began to froth and foam at the mouth.

Your own attuned senses could feel the C U R S E  bitterly RAGE against you and the blessed woman's efforts to rid and eradicate it. Several times you could detect it tried to lash out and latch onto YOU, as your own messy and warped SOUL was a most alluring Target , but the combined efforts at Purification and the circle kept it well at bay and tightly in check.

Eventually, the ritual reached a boiling point as Lopzu started to scream in earnest, the piercing sound threatening to shatter your eardrums and disrupt the harmonious melody. Before it could even began to do any harm, however, the Priestess thrust her arms at the Curse-wracked woman, her gaze blazing intense as she grabbed onto something - IT - and yelled:

"NO MORE, NO MORE. BY THE POWER OF THE EARTH, THE SEA, AND THE STARS - BEGONE!"

She wretched her arms back - !

- and from their mouth and pores a black, red smoke was EXPELLED from Lopzu, collecting above the woman to form a twisted Eye, tentacles and TEETH lining its miasmic IRIS. IT GLARED at the Priestess, at YOU, and seemed poised to do something TERRIBLE ...!

Until, with simultaneous FORCE, you and the Priestess reached out to the CURSE and C L E N C H E D - !

*RRRRRRRAAAAAARRRRR!*

- and the CURSE was Destroyed by your combined Power!
!!!

Immediately Lopzu shot up, wide awake with even wider eyes as she panted and heaved great breaths, sweet covering every visible portion of her body as she looked around with bleary eyes, tense. Aside from that, she was perfectly okay, if Exhausted from the ordeal (- 5 Will) .

The Priestess slumps on her side, her face touching the sand as she looked spent herself. Despite that her proud, happy, and grateful smile remained undiminished. The Priestess, after Cost Reduction,  has her Will Reduced to 10/30 and is Exhausted , her form now nearly translucent as if ready to fade away entirely

Due to the Priestess shouldering most of the Burden, Oz and her Sisters suffers no negative side effects from her part in the Ritual.

As a Fortuitous side effect of the Purification and Exorcism Ritual the entire camp has also been purified and the morale of everyone their raised - mechanically this means the people there are now more hopeful and resilient than ever and more willing to help the War Band out.

Overall Outcome: Successful. Not perfectly so, but considering how wrong things could have gone.....good enough for everyone.

RE: [Game Thread] Lord Windos’ PokeRole Adventure 2: The Wild Lands - Spiritmon - 06-30-2025

Oz concentrated as best as she could in the ritual, trying her damn best to purify Lopzu. When the ritual was over, she saw the results: Lopzu was okay, but the strength of the Priestess almost drained. “Priestess!” Oz drops her instruments while they disappear, and run towards the Priestess, holding her and seeing her form almost disappear. “You're gonna be okay, I promise.” It was at this moment Lopzu was awake. Oz helps the Priestess stand up, and helps her get close to Lopzu. She put the Priestess in a comfortable position and then approached Lozpzu, giving the woman a look of relief. She nods and talks to Lopzu. “You are okay now. You received a really dangerous Curse, but thanks to the Priestess, my sisters and everyone, we were able to get rid of the Curse from your body.”

She then nodded her head towards the Priestess. “Thank you Priestess. Thank you for helping us save Lopzu's life.” Oz also takes a look at the Soothe Bell, and sees how the state of the item.

After everything said and done, Oz decided to find an ally. She looks at the distance and sees how dangerous the battle ahead is. So she decided to search for another trainer to join in the battle ahead. Part of her wants to see the Old Captain Lady, but even if she finds her, she doesn’t have the time to heal her wounds against the enemy. So she might search for another trainer to go help them fight against their hateful enemy. Maybe a Fire, Ice, Grass or Dark specialist, but at this point, she is not that picky in allies.

RE: [Game Thread] Lord Windos’ PokeRole Adventure 2: The Wild Lands - Lord Windos - 07-08-2025

Apologies once more for the massive delays, but work and my general energy levels have been keeping me DOWN far more than I would prefer. Fret not, though, for I'm not out of it yet! Here's the Random Recruits you can borrow a Mon from - or possibly get them to tag along if you have a glib enough tongue or deep enough pockets...

====

Emergency Relief/Random Supports Part 2: Rally Forth!

As mentioned waaay back, you got 1D6 - 3 Options, and since you got lucky with a (6) roll that means 3 people to choose from!

Option #1
Rarity: (2)(2) Uncommon!
Type(s) : *Rolls*
Power: (19) + 50 = 69
Razzle the Lv 69 Pawmont ! In an odd stroke of Luck it turns out that a member of Team Star was vacationing here and got caught up in this sordid mess. Bruce Ohm, being a Electric and Fighting specialist, has almost been completely useless as an actual combatant, but the surprising utility his Mons can afford have made him invaluable with the medics.
Ability: Nature Cure
Item: Sitrus Berry X 3
Moves: Revival Blessing, Sweet Kiss, Wish, Double Shock, Close Combat, Dig, Lv 1 Moves, Quick Attack, Fling* , Couching, Helping Hand Ice Punch, Bulk Up
Surprise!: Can hold multiple Items, and if using Fling can target allies to use them on them without causing Damage (This even includes stuff like Potions and Revives)
Check/Reqs Needed to Recruit Trainer: Flat 12 Check against a Persuasion Roll of some sort (INS), or a hefty $10k Payment

Option #2
Rarity: (1)(4) Uncommon!
Type(s) : *Rolls*
Power: (23) + 50 = 73
Skrims the Lv 73 Skarmory! This sharp bird is part of Sutalor's Air and Naval Force, being a member of Soldier Christopher's team, all of whom have been working tirelessly patroling the area and relaying messages all over. As expected they're made of stern stuff and prefer not working with regular Trainers, but the War Band's feats have attracted their attention enough to gamble on your lot.
Ability: Keen Eye
Item: Scope Lens
Moves: Lv 1 Moves, Night Slash, Roost, Steel Wing, Drill Peck, Metal Sound, Fly, Protect, Icy Wind, Tailwind, Air Cutter
Surprise!: Use DEX for ALL Root Rolls, Trained to Grapple->Fly as One Move (-5 Accuracy)
Check/Reqs Needed to Recruit Trainer: 15D6 + 2 Check against either a Persuasion or Intimidation Roll, or one of the Party Members forfeiting part of or ALL of their Rewards for facing off against the Super Boss

Option #3
Rarity: (5)(5) +*1 Rare!!
Type(s) : *Rolls* ...Oh dear.
Power: Rolling with Advantage: (99) + 50 ....Oh my.
??? the Lv ??? the *Toxicroak. This Mon and their....partner melted out of the shadows to greet one of the party, timing their appearance perfectly so that said meeting was private. The grey-haired person - hair slicked back, wearing a dark grey scarf, pitch black single-lens ray ban sunglasses, and a bizarre black suit/ninja outfit - wordlessly offers their services...all for a simple price.
Ability: Poison Touch
Item: You don't recognize it...
Moves: Unknown
Surprises!: Unknown
Checks/Reqs needed to Recruit Trainer: None; the Group simply will owe them and their boss' a Favor (Just One, to be paid back by any individual of the Group), two if this Trainer and/or their Mon perishes in the upcoming Fight. They do not elaborate on what said Favors entail - only that your group should be capable of what is asked of them.

.....Bernhard would literally and visibly flinch away massively  upon that...person melting out of the shadows to greet him. Even more so while he's vulnerable at max aka unable to cast any instant spells to defend himself! The good part however, he currently has Myra, Nirix, and Zephy (visible) out with him, plus Steleene nearby, so he's not completely defenseless. Just more defenselss than he personally likes, enjoys and is used to.

No words are needed at first, he's just sorta taken aback by...them wordlessly offering their services? Oh, and is it okay to ask to see that Toxicroak for short before marching into the fight? Or is the person's vibe more of wanting to keep it secret until the actual showdown? (which will be respected) And what's Zephy's first impression/thoughts on that...person, do they seem trustworthy?

Oh, and is it okay to ask to see that Toxicroak for short before marching into the fight? Or is the person's vibe more of wanting to keep it secret until the actual showdown? (which will be respected) And what's Zephy's first impression/thoughts on that...person, do they seem trustworthy?

If you're wondering about when this scene takes place chronologically, it happens a little bit after your heart-to-heart with your team but before they get the chance to respond.

---

Said person notably pauses as they get a good look at you - you can't get a good look at their expressions, what with them being obscured by glasses and scarf, but your recently heightened sense of Empathy and more than modest Insight seems to suggest they're surprised to see you?

As for the 'wordlessly offers services' part, they simple pull out what looks to be a sheet of paper from.... somewhere, before handing it over for you or one of your Mons to take. Reading it, you find it is essentially a contract (including a spot to sign) of sorts that outlines what their Offer is: In exchange for a Favor rendered at a later date - or Two if they or their Partner Falls in your Service - this individual will Assist in the Fight against the Super Boss, be it offering their Mon for them to command or directly participating themselves. No names for the 'agent' or who they represent are given - they're redacted, in fact - and the lettering seems to be typed out.

Your greetings simply get an incline of their head, while your question earns a more decisive nod - perhaps even a flicker of approval, if the glint of their sunglasses is anything to go off on.

They're also fine with showing their Toxicroak - and boy howdy is it a UNIT. Big, burly, and BUFF, this pugilistic amphibian is the very definition of One Bad Hombre - this Mon is easily in the upper echelons of Elite Tier, if not actually Champion Class altogether. Similar to their Master they were stoic and affectless in their demeanor and character, simply standing by the agent's side in ever-present Alert and readiness.

Zephy is COMPETELY stonewalled when it comes to actually getting a deeper Insight into these two, and so is Myra and Nirix for that matter. Though not an natural Empath like some other species your artistically inclined Muse was usually pretty good at sussing out the character and emotions of others; not so in these two cases. The sheer disconnect they had from.... anything was unnerving beyond belief - were it not for the fact these two were standing before you the chimeric birdmouse would swear they just don't register at all in those senses of hers.

This was NOT normal in the slightest, and she conveys as such to you along with the above. "Bern....be careful. These two.....something isn't right with them. I don't think they mean harm, but...I can't get anything other than 'Business' from them."

However, this is not the end of things, for eventually the agent takes note of your missing hand and Gauntlet, so carefully concealed until they managed to discern what was up with your furitive postuure. This seemed to actually cause them to stiffen and reel back just ever so slightly, clearly not expecting this development. For a moment they stood still, as if in thought....

...Before they pulled out another piece of paper, quickly but neatly wrote something down on it, and offered it to you. It read as thus: If you are willing, they would perform the surgery necessary to Re-Attach your Gauntlet to your arm, as well as do everything they could to fine tune and even upgrade it slightly. In Exchange, they request your newest Capture Steelene the Mawile to re-coup the costs of their own equipment that is needed for the job. They can't promise it won't be a Painless or without a toll on your body - especially if you want it done quickly so you could rejoin the Fight (if you Wish) - but they can guarantee they can get it re-attached and in working order.

How can they be so sure? If asked, they wordlessly roll up a sleeve of their left arm, revealing a black-grey prosthetic arm of their own. It was not a Gauntlet, but the level of sophistication, quality, similarity to a real hand, and rugged practicality strongly suggests this arm of theirs was on similar standing design and tech level wise. Which in of itself is very surprising: the Scimitars more or less have cornered the market with it comes to prosthetics, especially their own proprietary and exclusive Magi-Tech variants, but this most foreign one display by this agent could be a peer to them.

In addition, they bring out a BIG suitcase from....somewhere on their person and open it up to show you - within it was various medical, surgical, and mechanical supplies all neatly organized and ready for use at a moment's notice. You can tell this was some sort of field kit to treat injuries of all kinds, including damages to prosthetics, though how much crossover between their tech and yours is unknown. You're fairly certain that they could fix you up from what you've seen, however, and with Zephy's own spirited aid and pointers from you it likely would happen fast and without any major screw-ups.

Of course, this is all moot if you don't trust the agent enough to help you out in this area or don't want to give away your newest acquisition. The question is now thus: are you willing to Accept their Help with your Gauntlet?

The Priestess wanely smiles as you prop her up, weakly patting you on the shoulder and giving you a warm smile as you help her up. Your presence seems to do her a world of good, as her form stops flickering and 're-solidifies' here and now. She gives you a grateful nod and waves you off to look after Lopzu - their isn't much more you can do for her, and she can still function fine enough to help aid you all. She just needs a bit of a breather right now...

The bestial swordswoman's head jerks your way and you could see her tense, one hand immediately resting on the hilt of one of their swords, before she calms upon seeing you. Well that and wince and stagger a bit from the sudden motion, still in the midst of Post-Purification weariness. She makes to get on her knees and bows to both you and the Priestess, wordlessly yet clearly demonstrating her sincere and honest gratitude for saving her from that AWFUL Curse.

The special Soothe Bell is 100% in good condition, though it seems to be expelling more smoke and it seems a bit shinier after the Ritual.

@Dragonstrike

Nothing has changed much for you in the meantime while Oz has been conducting the Purification/Exorcism of Lopzu with the Priestess , Akamu huddling up with his Mons, and Bern going off on his lonesome to deal with his own matters/recovery. Right now you're just outside the supply depot with Oz/Akamu nearby, sitting on plastic bench while the unconscious form of the previously Maddened Mask Wolf lay a little off to your side. They're not in the best of shape right now due to the injuries sustained in their Fight with you and need some serious medical treatment to repair all that nasty Lethal damage, but for the moment they are doing as fine as they can be without it. Ghost and Rock types are rather Sturdy Mons by default, and being a Pseudo of sorts only compounds those qualities; in other words, even with their Lethal injuries and feebleness the spectral hound was not in as much danger as one might expect.

You could perform and Medical Check to try and staunch the Lethal Injuries and get them comfortable, but it'd be fairly difficult given the severity of the wounds and your relative lack of expertise in handling such things without resorting to emergency healing supplies

In any case, you eventually Detect somebody making their way towards you: a quick look reveals it to be The Masked Boy that aided you earlier, quickly approaching through the small crowd of people to your position. [u]It'll take a bit for them to actually get to you, giving you time to ready yourself for conversation...[/o]

Gloomtail would get another instruction….
Putting on a serious face:

„I want you to fight without my commands against this foe at the start. I will focus on the girls while you do everything you can to bring it down, fight as dirty as you want here, no limits. One thing remains though, return to us when you‘re badly hurt. I don‘t want to see any one of us be killed today.‘‘

He‘ll also take 2 of the healing reduction cancel items whose name i forgot to keep his dragons in for longer.

...The more we're learning about this mysterious...person, the more Bernhard feels inclined to accept their help; if him ever so slightly perking up from reading through the contract, getting a good view on the special (Champion Class!!!) Toxicroak, and even offering help to fix up + re-attach (and slightly upgrade!!!) his Gauntlet was of any indication. They're receiving a loooong LOOK™ and no words from the defeated stoic Magus as he seems to carefully ponder over things for an informed decision...

Zephy's words of "Bern....be careful. These two.....something isn't right with them. I don't think they mean harm, but...I can't get anything other than 'Business' from them." are noted and appreciated, she's receiving a long - yet honest and grateful - LOOK™ as well. And a telepathic response: "Thank you for your insight, Zephy dear... I am pretty sure they have REASONS for not wanting anyone to get a read on them. REASONS for wanting utmost secrecy and discretion... More so if their name and agency they're working for a redacted in this contract indeed..."

"Honestly I am not feeling TOO well about agreeing and accepting their help via signing their contract as well having them re-attach my gauntlet, but this appears to be a unique chance we might not ever run into again, wouldn't you agree? With a mighty Toxicroak like that one fighting alongside the others in my name against that Hateful Being, we might just...raise chances of success and lessen the number of further fatalities in a SIGNIFICANT way, and prove that we can STILL be of aid despite not fighting ourselves..."

*deep sigh* "I KNOW Steelene will not like this outcome. Not in the slightest probably. Hate me even, perhaps. But... This is the necessary evil, I fear. I regardless hope they and their boss will not use her for any shady business, this poor thing would not deserve it after her Trainer fell in such a traumatic way..."

Furthermore: "Zephy, my dear... If I DO let...them perform the surgery, can I count on you and your crafty nature to make it go as smoothly as only possible? To assist and aid in your known mastery way? Do not worry about me - I will have a local doctor look over it and handle the aftercare while the others and Nox face that Hateful Being, and I am aware that pain and a toll on my body are inevitable, I fear - but, I'm LONGING for rest and taking it easy to fully recover one way or the other. *looking defeated* There is only SO MUCH I am able to take without it affecting me badly, you know..."

General Outcome and course of action: Bernhard makes clear that he is interested in both signing the contract of their aid for a favor as well as have them (+Zephy) re-attach, fine-tune and slightly upgrade his gauntlet indeed. However, he wishes to have a bit more information first and go over the some details via asking the following questions:
