This article written back in May sums up the aggressive and seemingly monstrously excessive copyright policies pretty well. http://gamegrit.com/nintendo-screws-the-pooch-again/

I remember that article. I said to myself then, 'Back in the day, Nintendo was the top of the toast. Now, they are fixing to become burnt with all the flames that will come their way...' I honestly can't fathom why they pursue such means, as any good company should be able to adapt to the times and current audience. Given how all the AAA Publishers and companies like Warner Studio are acting, though, and I feel that common scene must have left the build at some point, along with all the non-toxic drink mixers...

Pokemon Omicron never got the banhammer, and the reddit thread for its release had the same number of views as Uranium's (just to provide some context on its size).

There are tons and tons of good RPGMaker fangames, and ROMhacks.

Very few actually get taken down.

That is quite nice to know! Wonder what made Nintendo turn its baleful gaze over to Uranium, though. Some probably know already, but are keeping their peace, so to speak. Information like that is valuable, you know.

The nuclear power themes could be a contributing factor, since that's a sore subject in Japan.
