RE: Competitive Guide: Nucleon - Lord Windos - 12-20-2016 I might make one in the future; I have to check to see if anyone has already reserved the rights to it. Don't want to steal anyone's ideas, after all. Its happened to me several times, and I can say its quite annoying. On a related note to the thread: To anyone reading this concern about Nucleon, chance are that by the time a stable competitive scene rolls out, Nucleon will be quickbanned to Ubers, making it a far less of a concern to people playing OU/UU. If you are playing Ubers, then Pokémon like Nucleon are the stuff you are looking to fight anyway, so its a moot point. That said, remember: Beware the Green Devil, least it irradiate your soul! Talking about this, i felt the same with Lucille in the Roleplay. Was very cruel what happen to the poor Nucleon ;-; RE: Competitive Guide: Nucleon - PhantomUnderYourDesk - 12-20-2016 Bye, irradiated Eeveelution, we all loved you. Maybe. Actually, how dangerous is a Nucleon with its HA (Geiger Sense)? Does it decrease its power in some way? Just curious... RE: Competitive Guide: Nucleon - Spiritmon - 12-20-2016 I love that one Pokemon ;-; Also a HA ability cant be that dangerous. Considery how much rare its nuclear Pokemon in the competitive. RE: Competitive Guide: Nucleon - Lord Windos - 12-20-2016 Compare to its regular ability, Geiger Sense is total garbage. I mean, its useful against other Nuclear Pokémon as a soft couner, and a way to power up Nucleon in a pinch, but you would have no STAB to use with Nucleon if you run Gieger. Nucleon is also fragle as well, due to its Nuclear types, so it won't survive long enough to use any Stat boosts it gets from Geiger anyway. With Atomizate= Ubers; with Geiger Sense: NU. RE: Competitive Guide: Nucleon - PhantomUnderYourDesk - 12-20-2016 Thanks for the fast answer... that means I shall have no bad feeling if I ever evolve a HA-Eevee into Nucleon just for collective reasons, I guess. RE: Competitive Guide: Nucleon - Lord Windos - 12-20-2016 Nothing is wrong with breeding Pokémon for collection purposes.... bloody hell, someone is trying to make a complete shinydex for Arceas' shake. A HA Nucleon is banal compared to that.l On topic, you know what saddens me the most about Nucleon? There is absolutely no middle ground to be had with it. It does not have any natural STABs outside of its ability, which is so polarizing with Hyper Voice and Choice Scarf that its THE centralizing force in the meta, outside the other power mons. All of them are due for Ubers eventually, and that depresses me. All Pokémon should have viability without sacrificing either usability nor openness. With the other power mons, their is the option to not run its Mega form for some of them to stay in OU, but Nucleon is totally reliant on is ability and a very particular moveset that divorcing the two is suicidal for its usage. If only their was an alternate ability that would be just as useful for the glowing fox as Atomizate, but no so OP that it breaks everything, and natural Nuclear STABs so that it can take advantage of it without gimping itself. Nucleon needs to be fixed in someway, and this is coming from someone that despised the changes to Dramsama! The fox need some TLC... RE: Competitive Guide: Nucleon - magicarpe_lvl100 - 12-21-2016 I think nucleon should learn more nuclear-types moves like proton-beam , to be better without atomizate. RE: Competitive Guide: Nucleon - Spiritmon - 12-21-2016 I think the same magicarpe. Talking about radiation... ![]() ![]() Both with the same two natures in the thread :3 RE: Competitive Guide: Nucleon - PhantomUnderYourDesk - 12-21-2016 Not just a HA-Nucleon. I want a selfbreeded full Eevee-set with positive nature, HA and 5 IV. (12-20-2016, 07:26 PM)Lord Windos Wrote: (...) You might want to bring your thing about Nucleon being either Uber or, well, “useless” as well as those ideas about fixing this ‘mon in general to my Suggestions-concerning-competitive-play thread, and see what happens. How about switching its normal ability with its hidden ability? Similar to Sylveon’s normal ability (Cute Charm) is a bit of useless with its Defense (not Sp.Defense, that stat is great!) in mind, and the HA (Pixilate) is the favoured one for good reasons. But before you can bring on this Fairy, you have to get one with the HA in the first place… that needs effort since you can’t just encounter HA-Eevees in the wild easily and so on - and I bet not everyone is willing to take the effort, which would (maybe?) make it less prominently seen in battle.Also…. Imagine Nucleon, with Atomizate, in a fixed Fallout. Probably nightmare fuel. |
