Oh... And what about seeking cover within the trees instead? Me feels that should be possible, but very likely not for Kee but instead for a species of Pokemon that can either fly/is a bird or is known for superior jumping skills.
Such a pretty chaos of a battle. But Ziggy Kee still manages to keep a cool head and focus on his stuff and actions, he's done so as a human (Gym)Trainer and will continue doing so as a 'Mon himself. Looks like he hasn't fully adapted yet to being on that side of a fight however as this flying scorpi of a Gligar just shrugged off his assault. Damn!

"NO ya will NOT do so Kogeki, pwease GET A FREAKIN' HOLD OF YAR RAGE or else I'll try how loud I can snarl AT YOU 'nstead at an opponent, have ya already FORGOTT'N what Marcus JUST TOLD US 'bout killin' fellow 'Mon?!"
Oh and while his fellow team members (bar dear Pyra) chose to retaliate and counterattack that Meditite's assault, Kee himself escaped the offensive front at an appropriate moment and instead retrive that very pinkish Pecha Berry from now-officially-his guitarbag-thingy; and with it gently held in between his jaws he leaps over to Dax, drops it into his very hands and then leaps away again. In a much more gentle voice than that one he used to shout at Kogeki, he informs them that "Take a bite, it's sweetness shall effieciently overwrite yar nausea!~"

Within the tree tops would likely be some rather light cover for anyone who could get up there.

As Meditite begins to turn to flee, Kogeki bears down on it. The meditation pokemon looks absolutely terrified of whatever it sees as the Ghost begins lashing out at it in a rage.

Kee retrieves the Pecha Berry and gives it to Daxter, curing his Poisoned Status before it can do more damage to him!
With the immediate danger subdued, everyone has time to take a breather and assess the situation.
Marcus walks over to Kogeki and bops him over the head again with the half Thick Club. "Oi, watch what you say! Wild pokemon will defend themselves however they think is necessary if they feel threatened, and unnecessary threats might just escalate the battle and make it more dangerous than it needs to be."
Karen gives Pyra a thankful look, then nervously looks at Kogeki again while still behind the imp. This situation's definitely making her feel uncomfortable once more.
Everyone gets 4 exp.

Kogeki aim right at the neck of Meditite. That last attack was filled with Dark-Type energy and done with anger. Kogeki snarl at his enemy, and still with his enemy in his mouth, he throws away Meditite close to his fainted allies.
He still had adrenaline of rage, and was tempted to walk over the two Gligars and Meditite and drain every bit of Aura they have...until the moment he hear Kee words and Marcus bonking his head again. He rub his head and take a extra gelid gaze right at Marcus, almost like saying the Cubone could be the next one have their Aura drained. "...Is that so? They already to attack us in the first place. So they already loose any kind of reason to defend themselves."
Kogeki was about to argue again, until he see the terrified look of Karen. Her eyes...was enough to take away any kind of counter argument. He just walk away of Marcus and approach their fainted enemies.
He grabbed Meditite by the neck and tell his companions. "As much tempt it might be, I will not kill those Pokemon. I still gonna drain their Auras, but not to the point of killing them. Just enough to make them sleep for a good while and not bother us again."
"Now...give me a moment to get some energy."
Action: Drain the Gligars and Meditite Auras.

With everything done and handled - as in, all foes defeated and Dax's mean poisoning cured - Kee leaps in front of that fainted Meditite to grant THEM some cover from Kogeki. He growls, hisses, snarls, bristles his fur and generally looks extremely protective, like a mothermon shielding her young from harm. Still, as he speaks up towards the deltadog of a ninja, his voice sounds pretty calm, but it may just as well be the infamous lull before the storm. "....Kogeki, please DO listen to what I yelled at ya 's well to Marcus' words, I. DO. NOT. WANT. TO. GET. INTO. TROUBLE. CUZ. OF. YA. Really not. Please. DARE to cause permanent damage to this Meditite OR unsettle dear 'n lovely Karen like this AGAIN, and YOU will get into serious trouble WITH ME." Together with that earlier feeling that Kee would be a dangerous opponent for Kogeki to fight, this should do the trick of making him understand.
All that yelling, all that 'must protect others at the cost of mah own safety' and all that aggression mixed together with the last successfull battles and his Brave Nature eventually get the better of Ziggy Kee, granting him +1 Special for 10XP. Having 2 points in that Stat now, his Snarl technique can hit 2 opponents, and he levels up from Lv.5 to Lv.7.

Kogeki look at Kee in his path...among everyone, Kee is the most dangerous Pokemon to fight. Among of Karen look, it was enough to subside Kogeki deadly anger towards the Meditation Pokemon.
He still wary towards his companion. "...I will not drain Meditite until he be a dry corpse. Nor I going to cause permanent damage. Just drain a bit the Aura to let them alive and unarmed. They will not die."
"Now...step aside Kee. I have no intention in fight you. I not going to kill them."
Kogeki take the Kunai in his back and points towards Kee. When everyone thinks he would attack the Dark Zigzagoon, Kogeki let his Kunai sword hit the ground, to say he doesn't desire to fight. "...You have my word. I will not kill them and not going to permanent damage them. I will drain the Aura just a bit to let them unconscious."

At first Kee doesn't step aside or move at all, he just remains right there and continues being extremely protective.
Eventually though, he smiles a sly and toothy Ziggy-smile at Kogeki. "Oh, ya have no intention to fight me.... But what if I DO 'ave the intention t'fight ya?~ Ya'll have no other choice but to d'fend yarself then, 'n I won't go easy on ya just cuz we know each other from a previous life 'n adventure." He holds back a sigh as his stance relaxes a little. "Look, ya've been quite tha hot-headed guy back then already, 'n we two 'specially weren't at tha best terms with each other. This new life a Pokemon is like a second chance, try not to r'peat mistakes, there's no reason to learn tha same lesson a thousand times."
He makes careful intentions to move, but keeps his dark red eyes fixated at the deltadog Kogeki is. "Am goin' t'believe ya this time. But pwease do keep in mind that I wanna use this second chance to start over, 'n that I won't let ya or anyone get us into trouble. Ya're a good person... But that's nat goin' t'prevent me from tolerating you doin' dumb stuff that may affect me in a bad wae likewise."
Finally Kee makes room, sniffs and gnaws at that kunai sword Kogeki dropped while watching his aura-draining-action.

Kogeki just look at Kee for a few seconds, and then slowly walking towards Meditite and those Gligars. He gentle touch Meditite and Gligars heads, draining Aura enough to keep them unconscious, but not causing permanent damage or killing them.
Action: Drain Meditite and Gligars Auras.

Karen finally speaks what's been on her mind since Kogeki started doing this. "...do you really have to do that every time, Kogeki? How do you know you aren't hurting them...?"
