RE: Change the name of traded pokes - Lord Windos - 10-25-2016 Both argument have their points, I believe. I just choose to side with the Pro-Change group simply because it gives players more options and control over their Pokémon, even if its a small thing. I wouldn't mind, like I said, if we (the tradie) can re-name a Pokémon (or give it a Nickname if it does not have one), and have its original name listed besides its original trainer's OT (In parenthesis like this.). That way the new trainer can have it their way, while always having a reminder of how traded it to them, and what its name originally was. RE: Change the name of traded pokes - senwood - 10-26-2016 Unfortunately Androziel stated in reddit that this will not be implemented due to sticking to the mechanics of the original game. https://www.reddit.com/r/pokemonuranium/comments/59be46/pokemon_renamer/d97v07i/ Quite sad, considering this is another QoL improvement just like those HM items. RE: Change the name of traded pokes - Lord Windos - 10-26-2016 While I am hesitate to say this, Andro, small changes like this would not undermine the core of Uranium. It is, at heart, still a faithful Pokémon game, and the ability to change another person nickname is practically fluff: Nice and convenient, but not critical or compromising to the game. I can understand your hard line against change the Speed Ninja's line up, but with HM items already implemented.... it is not too much to ask, is it? If I come off confrontational, I not trying to be, I am just curious why you wan to keep the current system for Nicknames. RE: Change the name of traded pokes - Keileon - 10-29-2016 I'm inclined to agree with Windos. It's just a quality of life feature, no different from the HM-replacing items- and look, gen VII is breaking the main series mold too. No gyms, HMs replaced, etc. I think something as small as changing the name of a traded Pokemon won't change the "Pokemon" feel of Uranium, nor is it too much to ask for. |
