So, um... I actually have one published fic right now that briefly touches on the hero's thoughts on Kellyn during the Epsilon sidequest (mainly in terms of: why did you leave me, what do I have to do to prove myself to you, and WHY THE F*** DID YOU SEND ME HERE??). Another one I'm working on (that takes place basically between Gym 3 and Gym 5) explores it in a little more depth, in terms of there's definitely a love/hate relationship going on. Marking this since I'm considering anything after beating Gym 8 to be endgame-spoiler-ish territory...

In the meantime, I'm really interested in the backstories between Kellyn and Lucille. I know according to the wiki (and I'm having to be very careful with that one too, at least spoilers are clearly marked) it mentions that they met when Kellyn rescued Lucille and her colleagues from a rampaging Pokemon. And being as I'm working on yet more fic (I'm a tad easily distracted, so it's not uncommon for me to have a bunch of projects going on at once), I'd love to be able to flesh out them meeting, falling in love, getting married... especially to mark the deep change in Kellyn's personality before and after the first Epsilon meltdown.
@Creator-Kami OMGOSH I love your concept of Pluto/Theo being (or becoming) avatars of Aotius and Mutios!

Oh my gosh, I love how you elaborated on how rude Kellyn was for sending his child off to that dangerous island. Might I add, he was clearly only doing that as a manner of finding information on Lucille, and even tho they got radiation sickness being there, he doesn't even ask if they're okay when they get back. And you can clearly tell from Cameron's noticeable concern for their safety that he is not happy with Kellyn telling his child to explore this island. But he "can't defy orders from the ranger chief." Kellyn's severe mental illness over Lucille is soooo detrimental to his and his child's health, it really is sad. It's like... If he would stop being so prideful and get therapy or some other help, he would likely improve more rapidly, but he chooses not to, which can be harmful to his family... ;~;
But yeah! When you finish the game (completely!!) you should come back and check out my thing under the spoiler. I think you'll like it. It elaborates on Lucille, Cam, and Kellyn all three!
And yeessss just... Like Mutios, Theo spent most of his life in the shadow of his best friend, copying their brilliance like the sun shines on the moon. But... Through his own personal growth and reflection, he grows strong as an individual. Meanwhile, like Aotius, Pluto's brilliance and protectiveness saves so many lives. And though they may be scared, they never turn their face away when it comes to protecting the ones they love.

Yeah, my character definitely reacts to the whole "you didn't even ask how I was"... which honestly, drove me to quite the rant in the FB group over how big an ass Kellyn was. But, I do have a somewhat sympathetic headcanon in that he didn't ask because he didn't know; I'm thinking perhaps Cameron deliberately didn't tell him because he was already righteously angry enough that Kellyn sent the kid there in the first place.
I actually had a scene in mind (never actually made it to fic) of the kid, while drifting in and out of consciousness, overhearing Cameron tell someone "so help me if that kid doesn't pull through, I'll go over to Ranger HQ and strangle Kellyn myself".

THAT is just pure poetry there. Do you write fic? That just begs for there to be a story around it. Better yet, give this to the devs -- if this became part of the actual game, I'd just die!!

Cam just seems so upset that Pluto is out there where Lucille was lost, since there are so many dangerous Pokemon and still a good deal of radiation. They could easily impact their long term health and Kellyn doesn't even bat an eye about it. Even the guy at the dock before Epsilon is just like ?????? This isn't a place for kids????????

Ehehehe, I don't necessarily write fanfics, per se, but Axell and I often roleplay the characters in a story format. If we were to conglomerate the text posts of our RPs, we could easily write a huge story. Presently, we're working on Lucille and Cameron's friendship as youths. And it's breaking my heart in two </3
But yeah... Oh my gosh oh my gosh. If the concept of Theo and Pluto being aspects of Mutios and Aotius actually got into the game, I think I would faint! <3 Just toooo cute for me~

I don't think the radiation was a concern, at least not until they got into the plant itself. Seems like Cameron said that the radiation had "mostly cleared" from the island (let's ignore the fact that this would be a scientific/logical improbability...
... game logic at play here). So really, I think it became a factor once they were inside and wound up... honestly, I'm not 100% sure where or how they ended up in-game (in the room with the Trawpint), though when I wrote it, I took some artistic liberties with it to make it seem at least halfway logical.I still wanna have Cameron find an excuse to tell Kellyn just how stupid he was. Maybe in the one I'm working on...
