Metalynx would be a good defence and a decent physical attacker, and Cometeor the Special one, since he can access to diferent moves with diferent types of attacks. Versality its better then power. And why I choose Duplicat? Two words: Transform and Trick Room. Metalynx and Cometeor its not exatcly famous for their Speed so a good ability to change speed its very useful. And the move Transform its good to balance the battles against some types of mons. For now this is the team I think. C) About weapon, hmmm I have some ideas :3 and objetive we see in the roleplay. Duplicat is an excellent choice for Transform and its supporting move pool, and Substitue and Confuse Ray can help you escape or manipulate people and get out of sticky situations, and Glare/Copy Cat/Double Team can make life a LOT harder for pursuers! It has a base HP of 4 (Base on Ditto), so it is an excellent support. Trick Room might not be useful, since Speed is replace by Initiative in this game, but it could have some interesting uses depending on how I interpret it.... I'll give you an easy lead to one if you decide to start the game with it, so not as to gimp you item wise at this point. Its Base HP is 5, but it has 2 Disobediance due to being quite a wild kitty! Which does not matter, since you have max Loyalty to counter it! Choose your abilities , and I will tell you how they work and will be modified. As for the demostrations Say you wanted to use the move Flamethrower. In order to see if that was possible, you first must do its Accuracy Role. Flamethrower (Name of Move) Accuracy: Dexterity (Your Dexterity) + Fight (Your Fight Score) + Channel (Your Channel/Cannalize Score) = The Dice I roll to see if you attacks land. If you at least score 1 Success, it will hit the target, unless the Evade the move or tries to block or take cover; Special rule apply there that will not be covered. It does not happen TOO often, and you'll see what happens when it does, so don't worry. If you land 5 or more success, though, the move is a Critical Hit, and has two more Damage Dice added to move. Damage of move is determine by its base Power + your Strength. Flamethrower has a base Power of 3, so STR + 3 would be the normal damage of the move. If the Pokémon has a STAB bonus with it, they add a + 1 possible damage to it. If they have an Item or ability that ramps up the power of the move, add appropreite amount of Damage dice to the Damage Roll . If the move is Super Effective, a automatic + 1 Damage is added regardless of the final damage output of the move. If the move is resisted, - 1 Damage is subtracted from the final damage output of the move. If Quad Effect, +2 Damage, and - 2 Damge is Quad Resistence. The Damage roll is all the Modifers, SE/RE (If any) damage, and the STR + Base Damage of a move. That number is then subtract by the Opponent's Vitality (Doubles as Defense), and the final number is the dice I roll to determine what the damage of the move is. EX: Flamethrower hits the Enemy, and it Crits! The Pokémon that used it had +2 Str from Sword Dance, was holding a Charcoal, had a ability that raised its Strength by 1, and the enemy is weak to his move. The Enemy has 2 Vitality, and you have 2 STR Damage Roll: STR (2 [Yours] + Sword Dance Boost [2] + Ability [1] = 5 Strength total) + 3 (Base Damage of Move) + Charcoal (1) + STAB (Always 1) + Critical Hit (2 Damage Dice) + Super Effective Damage Bonus ( +1) - Enemy Vitality (2) = 10 6-Sided Dice are rolled to determine the damage of the move, and 1 Damage is then tacked on to that total A 4,5,or 6 on a 6 Sided dice is a Success in both Accuracy Pools/Checks/Damage in the game. Chance Dice have to be 6 to win, but that is another concept that will be delt with later A 1,2,or 3 is a failure , and will not count in the move's Accuracy/Check/Damage etc. Getting two 1s in any roll REMOVES 1 Success, so thems the breaks. With all that said, if Flamethrower's Damage Roll Ended up like so: (6)(4)(5)(1)(1)(4)(3)(3)(3)(5), it would Deal 5 Damage to the Enemy, as the move have 5 Successs - 1 (From the two 1s) + 1 From being Super Effective. That is how Accuracy rolls work in the game, as well as Damage Calculation, how much damage can be done (The Damage Roll), and how the final damage is ultimately determined. Any questions? Or when he nearly got caught stealing a Big Nugget earlier. So far, this encounter with Erika is going according to Reiner's expectations and plans. Oh, and every time I tried to use Horn Drill. *shudder* When my luck is bad, it's terrible. But when it's great, it's amazing! There's usually very, very little in between. |
