RE: [Meta thread] Lord Windos' PokeRole Adventure : Celadon City Vandels - Spiritmon - 11-21-2018 Well, I can understand that now. Perhaps Mewtwo already get a lot of benefits already. And there is the thing even Mew in Gen 6 didnt receive a Mega evolution, so giving Mew a Z-Move I think its a well deserved respect to the progenitor of all pokemon. But I think Arceus will not get some bonus in the others Z-moves except Normalium Z: Generation VI onward If Magic Room is in effect, Judgment's type will always be Normal regardless of the Plate held. Judgment is unaffected by Normalize, Pixilate, Refrigerate, and Aerilate. However, it is affected by Ion Deluge (if the move would be Normal-type) and Electrify. Regardless of the user's types, Judgment is always treated as Normal-type for Z-Move mechanics, and can be upgraded to Breakneck Blitz by a Normalium Z. So yeah, no benefits from other Z-moves. But man, if Gen 4 Remake really become a thing, I would buy for sure if I also have the need money. Story was not exactly very much the focus of Pokemon franchise. Its kinda have one, but the main focus is the trainer in his journey to beat the Elite Four in their Region. Well, not every time *Angering looking at Ash Ketchum* But lets put that aside for now. Like I say, story was not the main focus of the pokemon franchise, but the story of the Team Galatic, and their journey to control the gods pokemon of time and space to make a new universe, thats something interesting. Just a shame their plans was frustrated again by a child (the weakness of any villain organization: a ten year old child) and Cyrus drag to the Reverse World and imprison there by the devil pokemon Giratina. It is problably a boring place... RE: [Meta thread] Lord Windos' PokeRole Adventure : Celadon City Vandels - Dragonstrike - 11-21-2018 (11-21-2018, 11:23 AM)Spiritmon Wrote: Generation VII Multitype will also change Arceus's type and form if it holds a type-specific Z-Crystal. Multitype cannot be copied by Power of Alchemy or Receiver. Multitype cannot be suppressed by Core Enforcer. That's from Bulbapedia's page on Multitype. While Judgement did kinda get shafted by not being able to be used as a base for a Z move other than Breakneck Blitz, not all Arceus need to run it, so Arceus does get some benefit from using a Z-crystal over a Plate when running specific sets. Fire Arceus can run Firium Z Fire Blast/Overheat for example. In general, most of the Arceus sets that run Z-crystals over Plates tend to have alternative STABs of 100+ power that make them less reliant on Judgement. Special note for Ground Arceus because it can run an Earth Plate Judgement special set or a Groundium Z/Earth Plate EQ physical set, meaning your opponent has to guess which one it is and which item Arceus is holding if it's a physical set. RE: [Meta thread] Lord Windos' PokeRole Adventure : Celadon City Vandels - Spiritmon - 11-30-2018 Welp, its been a while since we post here. Here the old me, lurking in the internet and then I found this video: Its very interesting, so I decided to make a discussion here since Celadon City works in a more realistic way when talking about Legendaries or moves. Along with Skull Ruins of course^^ To put in short this post: Game theory here make a video about the most dangerous and powerfull moves in the pokemon franchise and how desvastating or dangerous such moves would be in our real world. Using as a example ALL moves release at the moment. He separate all the move until he came with a little list of the most powerfull ones (using the process of elimination process). These moves is: Hail, Aeroblast, Magnitude, Sheer Cold, Spacial Rend, Roar of Time, Black Hole Eclipse and Continental Crush. Lets see...a move who can change the weather into some kind of solid water who hits hard, super air pressure who manifestate in razor like blades, a earthquake who can be weaker or stronger than a Earthquake if you able to get Magnitude 10. A freeze temperature of absolute zero. Two moves who literally capable of extinct the foe in waves of Space and time. A Black Hole who nothing can escape, not even light. And huge rock who literally kill foes with a huge rock. Spoiler alert: Black Hole won the competition. Basically, Weavile its literally, the most POWERFULL and DANGEROUS pokemon who ever get access to a Z-move in Reiner Team. A move capable of literally, literally, devour all materia in the entire planet if he did not get full control of his Z-move (this could be use as a plot device). Sometimes, Pokemon games doesnt make any sense. Giving children access to a move who literally can end the entire world! Forget Team Rocket, Team Magma, Team Plasma or any of those buffoons! The one, true enemy....is the big N and Gamefreak for having children access to moves who can end the world! Anyway, just a fun post here in Celadon City to give a little reflesh. And also to make a quick question to Mew/@Lord Windos: Mew, if you are having access to your full power as the Legendary of Creation and was releasing the Z-move, how you would compare the magnitude of the power? A Atomic bomb, a literally Super Nova, or a Big Bang? Just curious. RE: [Meta thread] Lord Windos' PokeRole Adventure : Celadon City Vandels - Dragonstrike - 11-30-2018 (11-30-2018, 06:00 PM)Spiritmon Wrote: If we're combining the logic of both this campaign and that video, then the winning title would actually go to any Gardevoir that knows Thief that's holding a Darkinium Z. Gardevoir that know Thief (the only damaging Dark move they can learn as of Gen 7) are internationally banned from using Black Hole Eclipse in the Celadon City campaign's universe. However, I'd argue that Mew's signature Z-move is more powerful. Why? Because it's called Genesis Supernova. As in, it's an explosion that rivals the power of the Big Bang, the explosion that was the beginning of the universe (according to science, anyways). When it's interpreted more literally like that...yeah, that's pretty destructive. You could also argue that Roar of Time and Spacial Rend are potentially just as strong as a black hole/big bang, if not more so, given their own time and space bending traits that could potentially destroy the universe...but at that point, we're probably just nitpicking. And I think that would probably answer the question of 'how powerful would Mew say a full strength GS is?' The power she has over creation itself isn't just for show, after all. (Do forgive me if ya wanted to answer yourself or if my answer is a little inaccurate, Mew. Windos has been rather busy, as I'm sure you know, so I figured I'd try to speed things along) RE: [Meta thread] Lord Windos' PokeRole Adventure : Celadon City Vandels - Spiritmon - 12-01-2018 Well, in my opinion Black Hole Eclipse is still very much strong. As much Roar of Time and Spacial Rend are almighty powerful moves, Black Hole Eclipse is literally, well, a black hole. A massive distortion of time, space and reality who such gravity can devour literally anything: Planets, stars, the sun, anything! Not even the light can escape. If not careful, it's a move who could end the planet. Or worse our entire Galaxy because the more it eat, the bigger it becomes. But maybe Dialga and Palkia could have powers to destroy indeed the entire universe since they can control time and space, and someone who can that hold the power the most powerful and important laws of the universe. But they are busy in fighting against each in other dimensions so they are not a immediately threat. But I agree: Gardevoir is indeed a dangerous pokemon to use such Z-MOVE. She already can create mini-black holes to protect her trainer according to the Pokedex. Imagined if SHE create actually one? It could be the end literally speaking! Also I still would like to hear Genesis Supernova by Mew yet. Especially since I am about to use it on the NRF. I thought Dragonstrike's explanation - forgivably erroneous as it was - would have sufficed enough until Windos decided it was time to move things forward, but I was mistaken. Very well, I will tell you how powerful Genesis Supernova is. Were I at my full power, and had utilized every means to enhancing both it and the Move's power to their maximum limit, a single Genesis Supernova would have the capacity to destroy an area roughly the size of the entirety of North America, down to 20 kilometers of the crust. The explosion and blast radius would also trigger other devastating natural disaster such as earthquakes, tsunamis, super storms, volcanic eruptions, etc. , and the shock waves and leftover energy would likely spread and damage much of the world outside of the area Genesis Supernova destroyed. In sum, total amount of areas destroy or negatively affected by the Move would equate to a quarter of the Earth, give or take another fifth of it.' For comparison, a Garvedour using Black Hole Eclipse under similar condition would only eradicate an area the size of Goldenrod down to 5 kilometers of the crust, and only devastate an area of land 3/2 of the Black Holes' circumference briefly, before it fizzles out of existence. That is what my......Genesis Supernova can do: Destroy everything. There is no middle ground with the Move, as its lower limits only reduce the amount of devastation it causes to a negligible degree. Were it not for the fact that my own power is vastly reduced , any Genesis Supernova I could made would at minimum resulted in Celadon being scoured down to bedrock. And I hate that, even as I am now. Such destructive power.....no one should have it. Yet I do, among so many other Legendaries, and even the likes of Arceas and......them. .......Does that sate your curiosity, Spiritmon?' RE: [Meta thread] Lord Windos' PokeRole Adventure : Celadon City Vandels - Spiritmon - 12-01-2018 Damn! Indeed sate my curiosity lady Mew. But man, I was thinking Genesis Supernova was powerful, but I didn't think it could be THAT level of power! Legendary Pokemon is indeed almighty beings. I still have one question lady Mew: Between all Legendary pokemon, it is true you are the most powerful pokemon in the world? I mean, it's more or less common sense your DNA was the base of the DNA of all Pokemons. Not that I being rude, but there is a lot of Legendary and mystics who could have equal or higher powers: Arceus creation powers, Hoopa and his powers to summon legendary, Palkia and Dialga space and time powers, and not to mention Zygarde ability of balance the bioma. So, despite Arceus, who is the strongest legendary in your world? RE: [Meta thread] Lord Windos' PokeRole Adventure : Celadon City Vandels - Lord Windos - 12-01-2018 (12-01-2018, 03:27 PM)Spiritmon Wrote: Damn! Indeed sate my curiosity lady Mew. But man, I was thinking Genesis Supernova was powerful, but I didn't think it could be THAT level of power! Legendary Pokemon is indeed almighty beings. 'Legendary Pokemon are named as such for a reason, Spiritmon.' '......*Sighs* More questions, I see. To be brief, no, I am not the most powerful Pokemon on the planet, nor do I consider myself one of the most powerful, beyond having Genesis Supernova and.....other abilities of mine. And I'm not even sure I created all common Pokemon life, as I don't remember if I did or not, so the rationale of being the strongest because I'm the 'Progenitor' isn't even a certainty. ' 'As for the strongest Legendary Pokemon in the world, if we discount Arceas and her 'children' , and all extra-dimensional Legendaries and Ultra Beasts, then in my opinion it would be a three way tie between Raquaza, Kyurem, and Victini, with second place being a three way tie between Zygarde, Xerneas, and Yvetyl. Raquaza controls and maintains the very atmosphere and air currents of the world itself, and is the undisputed Dragon King, Kyrum can plunge the world into an ice age and freeze anything solid if it wishes, and holds sway over stagnation, entropy, emptiness- possibly even the Void-, and can recombine with its other thirds to become even stronger, and Victini has literally infinite energy that grows even more potent if shared or used, and has control over all forms of 'victory' and probability itself. The Aura Trio holds great sway and influence over Life, Death, and Nature itself, as well as its overall management.' 'That is all I have to say on this matter. Any more questions you wish to bother me with, before I get back to blowing up the NRF?' RE: [Meta thread] Lord Windos' PokeRole Adventure : Celadon City Vandels - Dragonstrike - 12-01-2018 Spirit, not to be rude myself, but you're pestering Mew while she's trying to focus. The general takeaway from this as far as move names go should be that while some pokemon do have the capability to destroy the world and/or universe if they put their mind to it, the names of the attacks that we see in the games are sometimes exaggerated. Particularly the z-moves, which were purposely designed to be over-the-top. The names of the signature z-moves are probably the closest to describing exactly how powerful they are. (i.e. Continental Crush's name is not meant to be taken literally, nor is Black Hole Eclipse's when used by pokemon other than Gardevoir) RE: [Meta thread] Lord Windos' PokeRole Adventure : Celadon City Vandels - Lord Windos - 12-01-2018 (12-01-2018, 04:03 PM)Dragonstrike Wrote: Spirit, not to be rude myself, but you're pestering Mew while she's trying to focus. 'Correct, Dragonstrike, and thank you. In regards to the Z-Moves, though, any Legendary and Mythical Pokemon can make true of their nameshakes or do them 'justice', especially if they are of the same Type of the Z-Move used or have some form of influence over the phenomena described by the Z-Move. Deoxys and Jirachies can create actual Black Holes with Black Hole Eclipse, but they are weaker than a Garvedour on average, while Darkrai.......I don't know how to adequently describe it, other than 'total absence of light' . Groudon, Regigigas, Regirock, and Zygrade can all violently destroy the very earth with Contiental Crush or Tectonic Rage, while Terrakion and Landerous has their own......esoteric uses of the Z-Moves.' |
